  • Scoot is an interactive pup who will walk on a lead, bark, yap, whimper, whine, scurry forwards or backwards, pant, wag his tail and rest his head on your knee making snuffly noises. He's bright, alert, responsive and fun. He's also quite unpredictable too: he'll scurry along panting but also bump (gently) into obstacles and need a little help. He is responsive to sound and, if a number of children are playing together with him in a group then he'll respond to them by scurrying towards them if they call his name or clap loudly changing direction which can be almost full-circle. This works reasonably well for children grouped in a small circle who enjoy watching him head towards them for fuss and a head pat. If left unattended he can suddenly burst into life with barks and panting to attract attention while feeling neglected, just like a real pup. However although barks, panting, whimpers and whines are a good volume when close to him, they are not sufficiently loud to annoy parents or siblings in an adjacent room.
Scoot is a good size for young children with an overall length and height of 24cm each. Beneath his plush polyester pile coat his body is hard plastic containing his animatronics and a child-safe, screw-fastening battery compartment.
His instructions are quite poor but to summarise, moving the switch to the left switches him on, the middle position is off and the position to the right puts him into a demonstration mode.
