Im considering a portable water pump for a week long camping trip into the bush, but within a few yards of a natural water source. I dont what to haul a big container of water to be pumped out as that defeats the convenience of a pump. I might as well use bagged water that provides the showering experience by way gravity, as any water you carry in to the camp site will limited if pumping from a bucket.
So must the water pump be submerged in order to pump water from the source ? It doesnt seem that would be suitable. Are there pumps that will pull the water from the source via a hose fed into the pump for a distance of say...50 ft? Or does this capability not possible?

This model must be submerged. Although there are some models with a hose, they would not work if the hose is 50 ft. I suggest you get a foldable bucket. It's light and cheap.

Hi! I would like to use a portable shower like this one, which allows you to cut the water off at the shower head. However, I'm wondering about the best practice for using it. Should I stop the pump first or is it okay to simply cut the water off at the shower head while the pump continues to run? I'm concerned about potential damage to the pump or the system.
Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!

Hey. I'm no expert, but I think you might want to stop the pump itself. Just stopping the water flow could cause damage.

you dont hav to unplug it before stoping the water. it has a sensor that stops the motor when no water is used, it will not get damaged, if it did it would not be made to do that. i dont turn the water off mine and it never got damaged.

there are other water machines like this i own also years old, and i never turn them off when not in use and there is no damage. the sensor stops the motor whan the water is not running. then start it back when the water starts flowing, there is no build up of water or pressure when not in use.

Так. Є USB-кабель для зарядки від павербанку, зарядної станції чи блоку зарядки від телефону.

    Does it heats the water?

    • @LetsBuyItYT
      @LetsBuyItYT  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

It would be a miracle if it could, but it only pumps the water and shows its temperature.

The best option would be to buy a portable immersion heater aside the shower.

@@LetsBuyItYT👍 thumbs up to the advice on using an immersion heater
      - I use an immersion heater in a 5 gallon bucket. If I loosely put the lid on the 5 gallon bucket while the water is heating, it's piping hot in about 20 minutes... 30 minutes with no lid.
I got a cheaper version for 19.00, I only wanted 1000W so it doesn't pull too hard on my 3,500 watt generator.
I'm on this video today as I just received my shower pump in the mail.
I've added a shower stall to my off-grid bathhouse. Baths take so much water time and energy that sometimes you just get too tired at the end of the day!
In 20 minutes I can have nice hot water and be in the shower versus much longer
In the winters with heat always on, there's usually a big kettle of water always going... We're not exactly warm in Alaska right now but it's not hot enough for a wood stove or cranking up the propane
So using the immersion heater and it's working out great.
just need to get my shower going!
wanted to get an idea on how long to charge it before first use - I pretty much have to double the time using a generator off grid.
I'm dying for a shower tonight! But I think I'm going to have to take my regular bath and wait until tomorrow.
Any realistic idea based on experience regarding first time use charge time?
Again, good advice on the immersion water heater - most people don't realize they even exist. They're just large versions of our ole teacup water heaters.
      Thx.

@@TheFoolintherainn Hey. I would leave the shower on charge for a few hours. It's fine to charge it with a power bank, power station, or just a regular phone charger. The idea of using an immersion heater came from one of my grandmothers. I was surprised at how efficient it is.
