    This week is the final build episode on the truck! we finally put our new aqua master 4.2m tiller steer boat on top of our Isuzu NPS truck and it fits !!! hahaha we were a bit worried about how we were going to get such a big boat on the back of the truck but it all worked out in the end.
    Thanks so much for watching guys and we really do appreciate the support!! see you out there.

    Good job but I think you should add a roller where the winch rope slides over the edge of your storage box this will do 2 things protect both your box and rope

      Great stuff guys. It's given me a few ideas 💡 for my own set up. Like you with a boat It's impossible to be under your gvm and or rear axle weight. Keep the mods coming 🎉😊

      Guys, envy you big time.
      I believe you will need to be able to extend your centre rail on boat trailer approx 2 to 3 metres when launching your boat on a muddy remote creek bank .
      Good luck to all of you
      😅😅😅

    Boats are pretty light, but jockey wheels as they older are notorious for not traveling straight. I like your Chinese safety boots in the workshop!

  • @fidy8dub

    Such a great idea!! Maybe as an added bit of security when winching the boat up, add a slack safety line or chain just in case the which line snaps and ya boat doesn’t take off back into the drink? Cool guys great set up!

    Nick. Very concerned about your loader system.
    Big job for one man and could be dangerous.
    Then I think of Elena. We have all seen her swing an axe, use a chain saw, cast a bait net, change a tyre, and then cook you a meal !!
    Nick after you have shown her twice on how to load that boat, sit down have a beer and check the tie down straps.
    What a woman.

    Well done guys once again. Have you thought about putting a little roller on the back of the box so the winch rope doesn’t drag itself over the edge of the box when loading and unloading the boat ? Might be a wear point 🤷🏼‍♂️

    • @elnick.adventures
      @elnick.adventures  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Jamie!! Yes we have we are getting a plastic skid to put on the back to stop the wear. 🤠🤙🙌👍

    • @ronaldmusk4996

      Lot of weight on that corner, the box might need strengthening.
      A roller is wiser and will reduce the friction

    Pity the ramps didn't have a raised edge on them to assist with keeping the wheels on them as you may find a situation where both truck and trailer are not level and the trailer will not stay on the ramps for loading or unloading. Final fit does make the truck rather high - what is the overall height now?

    Love the truck and what a dream truck it is. We are currently on our way to the cape and so many people are getting these. I love it. I would love for this to be my next vehicle. Keep up the amazing videos and hope to see you one day.
    Also did you get the auto or the manual version.
    For the truck and cabinets.. What sort of dollars are you looking at approx if I can be as bold to ask.

    Nice truck but the boat lift is going to be a pain in the ass after spending all that money on your rig a Hiab crane would be your best option. I noticed that you didn’t show the boat coming of the truck ? Try doing that lift on uneven ground ,also why have a standard ball hitch on an off road trailer. Sorry guys for being so critical good luck on your trip

    • @elnick.adventures
      @elnick.adventures  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The extra cost in a hiabe crane plus what they would have to do to the crane was in realistic and didn’t have the space for it. The boat comes off exactly how it comes on the truck so didn’t think we had to and we have do 45 hitch for caravan we just don’t need one for the boat 🤠🙌 thanks for watching

    Hi guys, I admire your drive and enthusiasm . But, that boat loading system is probably one of the most potentially dangerous setups I have ever seen. Previous commenters have mentioned some of the issues like rope running unguided over the box, lack of safety rope/chain between truck & boat, unguided jockey wheels. And I am sure these are all things you can overcome.
    But for me the most dangerous element is that it will be almost impossible to load without someone guiding it on with someone else operating the winch. A recipe for disaster.
    As a former operator of tow trucks i would never put myself ar an employee in that amount of danger.
    I hope you take everyone's feedback on board and modify the system. Your safety, your family's safety and the public's is the most important thing.

    • @elnick.adventures
      @elnick.adventures  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey Alan thanks for taking the time to comment! we have changed the loader a bit from this vid we are putting a guid roller for the winch rope on and also sides on the loading ramps and the winch has an extension lead so I (Nick) can now operate solo with the guides on the loading ramps. I’m not sure if you seen in the video but the boat trailer is actually bolted to the headboard of the truck and fastened down with 6 rated tie down straps (we have been on 4WD tracks and the boat doesn’t move) I don’t feel un safe loading and un loading the boat especially now adding the things we missed that viewers have picked up. Thanks for your concern these comments always help to better the set up cheers for watching 🤠👍

      Hi guys, thanks for your reply. Please know that I am not trying to be a smart arse, but giving you the benefits of my mistakes 😁.
      Sounds like you have made it a lot better.
      The safety strap I was talking about is something like a snatch strap between the truck and the trailer while you are loading/unloading. This is a precaution if the winch cable breaks or some other catastrophic failure...it will stop the trailer becoming a missile.
      Again, please take my feedback as I intend....I love what you guys are doing and just want you to be safe(er).
      All the best
      Alan

    Guys, I am very envious and am very concerned
    1. Have you thought about launching in remote areas and not getting bogged- maybe extendible centre bar in trailer.
    2.Jockey wheels are too light for purpose- pneumatic wheel barrow wheels
    3.How do you keep wheels on ramps going both up and down.
    (Did you look at small hiab?)
    Very quick, easy and safer while the kiddies are helping
    Good luck

    May as well just save your money and get a ute and tow the boat on its trailer that you already got .... wasting half the space with too much weight up high. Too much fuckin around to get that trailer up there and down and the inherited danger that comes with that too is just now worth it mate
