- This is my playthrough of Elden Ring.
Also a very souls-like game from the devs that brought us Dark Souls where the term souls-like comes from.
Ought to be enough said right there, but this game, and souls-like games in general do scare away gamers. Why? Because of the sheer difficulty.
But also, that is what draw so many gamers to play these brutally punishing games.
You grind, you fight, you die.
When you die, and you will, you'll get one chance to get your XP back.
Die again and XP is lost forever. This is the general idea anyway, you might have an item that allows you to keep XP.
This game is about learning and adapting. And a lot of rage.
