    Been dealing with excess amount of fiber lately myself, and another one that I really didn't expect happened today... Epoxy filler used on rusted rear framerails, when I yanked off the epoxy in one big flap, there was no framerail left, I then turn the big flap of epoxy the other way around and sure enough... found the framerail, in the form of cakes of rust stuck to the epoxy 😱
    The belt grinder is really nice for this sort of work though, I bought one after watching your videos.
    It doesn't kick filler and fiber all over the place like a grinder wirewheel or flapdisc does, so it's far more comfortable to work with, minimizes the mess!
    The problem you mentioned at the beginning, no access, and can't put it on a 2-post lift or rotisserie because of compromised strength, I recommend getting a 4-post ramp lift, that way you still have the car nice and level, you can reach inside those areas from both sides of the ramps (better than completely blocked by a floor), and at much more comfortable working height 😁

    • @yorkshirecarrestoration
      @yorkshirecarrestoration  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@yorkshirecarrestoration Spot-on! Seeing as I do mostly rust repair on the 4 post I bought a used Stenhoj, looked around for half a year before I settled on it.
      As I see it, no point littering a new one with weld spatter 🤣

    Blowtorch & burn it. That's what I do when I hit a big globbed-up section covered in filler/glass/bitumen crap. Leaves nice clean metal when you scrape off the toasted crud. Saves ages trying to battle getting it off. :-)
