This is at their concert. Remember this is in the middle of their 4 hours long concert. So yes they sing lives the whole time and you get this level of performance at their concert

The Immortal Songs Medley was filmed at one of their Moosical Curtain Call concerts in 2017. It was probably from the first concert in Seoul at Olympic Hall, which seats 3500 according to the info I found. They were called Moosical Curtain Call because their debut concerts the previous year were called Moosical. Naturally lol. You didn't seem to notice the band but they always have a live band for their Korean concerts. The band killed it and the girls showed their musicianship by how seamlessly they navigated the song changes and shifts in rhythm and dynamics and worked in perfect harmony with the band, so to speak. They made it seem easy, like they were seasoned vets who'd been slaying audiences for decades but this was probably the 5th concert of their career. Their Korean concerts always sell out in minutes. They didn't bring a band with them on their first US tour earlier this year but they stlll killed it of course. They did 9 shows in the US (I saw them in NY and Baltimore) and joined TLC, the Spice Girls and I think Destiny's Child as the only girl groups to sell over 70K tickets on their debut US tour.
Fyi Immortal Songs 2 is a singing competition tv show where artists compete by performing new arrangements of classic (immortal) songs, often as a tribute to an older artist. Mamamoo competed on the show 14 times between 2015-19. Back then Immortal Songs was dominated by mainstream singers and kpop groups didn't appear very often and usually didn't fare very well in the competition when they did. Mamamoo was the first girl group to win an episode of IS2 and the first idol group of either gender to win multiple times.
You got it - they're the full package as live performers: world class vocals, charismatic stage presence, bff team chemistry. The stage is their playground and the audience is their play date for the day. Between the Killing Voice sampler of original songs and the Immortal Songs Medley of classic Korean songs you've gotten to see Mamamoo in their simultaneous parallel careers as a kpop idol group and an old school vocal group. Their extreme versatility while carving out a distinctively Only Mamamoo style has led people to say Mamamoo is a genre unto themselves. Folks say they can sing anything and write a song about anything (and have a bunch of crack songs as examples lol) and Koreans summed up the general public's opinion of Mamamoo with the slang phrase BeLisMaMoo: Believe & Listen to Mamamoo. 😂
Mamamoo with a live band is on another level.
And the medley is their speciality.

I just discovered this video yesterday myself so I guess I'm not the only one who didn't knew of it. Indeed amazing voices, I'd say on vocals alone Mamamoo would be my first choice if I had to choose only one kpop group I'd want to see live. Just one of many many unbelievable live performances by Mamamoo. They take the stage to DESTROY the room. This is a medley of another singers music they are doing. It was the challenge given them for the program. This is a program where several groups are competing with live stage performances. Mamamoo showed up and brought the house down several times on this show. You might see the strange Radish shaped lightsticks waving in the crowd. Those are their official Mamamoo lightsticks being held by their fans,.. Moomoos.

Their immortal melody performance is on a level of its own and it’s always so fun seeing people reacting to it for the first time. I loved this! Mamamoo are so unapologetically themselves and it’s always so refreshing to see their behind the scene vids as much as their performance vids. Will always recommend the intro to Mamamoo vid for anyone new getting into them bc you get to know their personalities along with their vocals!
First I will say that this is just a small part of a 3 hr + concert that night.
People always question if they can dance. Yes they all are amazing dancers. Since they actually sing LIVE, they tend to focus on the vocals. Personally I think too many groups now are dance focused instead of vocals .

This medley is actually made up of songs they performed on a TV show titled 'Immortal Songs'. The individual performances are incredible. There's a playlist that has all 14 of them. I highly recommend Backwoods, Delilah and Way To Sampo!
Not sure where to see the whole concert. I know a blu-ray are expensive if you find them ( $200-$ 300)

Sometimes there are insufficient superlatives to describe how awesome the Mamamoo, ladies were at this stage of their career. This was not a tenth anniversary show or a celebration of so many years in the business. It was recorded early on when they had little experience of large venues. Just amazing!

Mamamoo lives are better than the videos. Their vocals are AMAZING when they perform.
The individual performances on the Immortal Songs show (I think all are on TH-cam) are amazing but copywritten so reactions get a strike. But it's well worth the watch.

I don't think of them as Kpop idols. They are on another level.
4 petite little woman, all with insecurities, but put them on a stage especially with an audience and they just COMMAND and blow everyone away. Unlike so many groups were you have some that are there to fill up the numbers, to look pretty or cool or whatever, these 4 ladies don't forget that what people come for is vocals.
Solar, the powerhouse and musical star, who can lift you up with her voice or make you grab for the tissues to wipe away the tears.
Wheein, angelic, soft, soothing and the glue, the backbone
Hwasa, could make a rock melt and her lyrics betray a dept to her character that is rare in someone so young.
Moonstar, the one who isn't as strong vocally as the other 3, but that says more about how good the other 3 are then it does about her. She doesn't have a bad voice at all and many a group would be lucky to have someone with her skill, talent and drive as their leader.
All four of them 'perverts' and goofballs. But most importantly, never forgetting there humble background and that they got where they are by hard work and people believing in them.
They really did that.... live 🤩

This was for their 2017 concert, named ‘Mamamoo Concert Moosical: Curtain Call’ they picked their version of the songs they sang during the show "IMMORTAL SONGS", performing an Eleven-Minute long medley in the middle of a Four-Hour long concert.
MAMAMOO joins the ranks of Destiny's Child, The Spice Girls, and TLC as the ONLY girl groups to sell over 70,000 tickets on their FIRST tour in the USA. This makes MAMAMOO the ONLY girl group to achieve this milestone AFTER a 21-year gap. AND the ONLY Non-English speaking girl group to accomplish such a feat.

I always tell people that if you stan Blackpink and Mamamoo as an adult, all boxes get checked. Neither group had a kiddie/creepy stage like most female groups.
