What classic effect trick should I cover next?

The boost your amp with a bandrecorder trick by Blackmore. A very peculiar but ever so pleasing boost that I’m sure is hiding in the AF somewhere, just haven’t found it yet…..

      Something Gilmourish would be cool

Ronni is an absolute beast. Very distinctive tone and playing style. Had the opportunity one time to see his guitars up close, his action was so high it was in another stratosphere!

Get out! So he plays like that on a guitar that's ahrder to play. Monster.

@@LeonTodd Yeah, it was way back in the day I caught them playing in Tokyo when I was working there, around 1997. You could seriously drop a marble between the strings and fretboard with space to spare!

I've played Ronni's checkerboard guitar when visiting in Norway and your fingers actually go under the lower strings when you bend; remarkably high action.

@@MasterArpeggioSystem I know, right? It's insanely high action. How he can even manage intonation with an action that high is really surprising. I played some of Yngwie's guitars back on the Alchemy tour, and I was surprised that he too has a pretty high action, but nowhere near as high as Ronni has his action set.

I saw Ronnie Le Tekro and I clicked. Thanks for covering a legend of 80’s metal guitar!

The Filter trick is really nice, never crossed my mind! Thanx big time (again)…

I used to get a massive kick out of setting extremely short delays on my DSP-128 to create comb filtering effects, although I didn't know the term for it at the time.

Cool! I always wondered how Ronnie got his rhythm tone. I just guessed it was some kind of very subtle chorus effect. Now I know. Thanks!

Those tones are sick Leon! The intro Tone reminded me of Old Metallica "Jump In The Fire" Flangeer Tone reminded me of something EVH would do!

That JCM 800 is like the Sound of Rock and Roll.. Sounds great.. That flanger really sounds good thru my headphones brother! Really good.. I'm not a big Flanger guy just because I could never get them to sound good with me playing, probably because my playing sucks at times.. 😛 That filter thing was cool too! Wow.. Sounded like a wah going thru a tube from the speaker! 😛 It really did have a sitar effect with the feedback cranked! Wow.. Too cool man..
That flanger, that PRS, that AxeFX all together with your excellent playing is giving you some killer harmonics.. Love those pings that you get when you hit that emphasis note on your lead runs as I call them..
Have you tried the TC Electronic Ampworx preamps yet I'm wondering kind sir? I love the idea that they have of just one amp modeled really well with an IR of your choice and a pedal board.. Would be a great gigging platform and recording platform as well for that matter and it has an XLR out I believe and you can turn the IR's on and off for using your own with recording, etc.. 149 bucks.. They have 3 versions I believe, the 800, 5150, and a rectum frier.. 😛 which would probably be the one I'd get .. or the 800.. These also have pre or post boost.. I think they have an effects loop so you can add your own delay and reverb, etc..
You are a maestro sir! Sorry to write so much.. I'm hyper from really strong coffee (2nd cup) .. 😛 I think I'll listen to some Randy Rhodes today!
Be well sir and be safe and tell everyone hello for me!

Keen to try those TC pedals. Price seems good even though i haven't been super impressed with the tones in the demos just yet

@@LeonTodd Yeah, I want to hear your impression for sure.. You're the tone eared man if there ever was one! 😛
