Now I have to have eyes surgery... Line was so sharp it cut my eyes just looking at it! That video was the truth! Great work and keep up the good work!
I finally completed my whole self shaving kit and I am about to start shaving my own face, now I’m confident now after seeing this and a few others. I see people have different strategies in shaving or self shaving and they all helped me, I want to have that crispness in my beard
Lot of trolls in here. This guy shows how to use a straight blade and some of you dorks comment on the guys high neckline. Smh...Cool vid man and good technique. Learning how to use mine right now. Keep making the vids man and don't worry about the haters and trolls. They're jealous cause A. They can't grow a beard or B. They wish they could shave as good as you.
Ive never ever had my beard done by a barber, used to always use razors to shape it up. After going to a barbershop. Ill def be going again . I didn’t know my beard line could be so sharp. Not only that but I’m taking tips an just bought me own straight blade.
that client had excellent coverage. very high up to the top. most guys won't be able to get their beard this high BUT this technique can make any height beard look amazing
HowtobecomeabarberTv hey when you're giving a shave do you place the blade laying flat down and go down smooth or do you angle it a bit. also do you do smooth motion or a short up and down motion ? I have a problem of it pulling am i angling it wrong or ??
Wow thanks for this video I'm so glad I found it even if it's a year late I'm not a professional but I do like to shave my bf beard every once in while he's going to be so happy I learned this
you know what. this is why I stop going to the barbershops. Mad respect to some of these youtube barbers. I done went to so many barbers all over NC from durham, charlotte, wilmington, Raleigh they just throw a hot towel on your face and dry shave w/ a straight razor to edge you up for the beard. Never once did I get shaving cream. Im bald on top, sometimes I just rather have the barber knock the hair down w/ the clippers.. One dude did that, but fool try to go back w/ the razor edge on top of my head to get the patches... I'm like dude if you going do that put some oil on my head, shaving cream or something. Its all about the dollar for these bums, that's why they don't last at all. cursing inside talking bout sex in front of 7yr olds, make it worse they be having their moms in there w/ there lil sisters... trap music blasting, stay on first take lol steph a. smith so many distractions man... and for some of these simple haircuts seems like you wait 30-45min and they don't even come close to what I see from some of these guys on youtube. Why I cut my own hair well beard mostly, and just shave my head bald . peace
Antonio Montgomery I agree 110% . I’ll be lucky if I even get a towel! They’ll normally take a straight razor to the face and bam done, you are out the door. Sometimes forgetting to put aftershave/alcohol. Bunch of thugs who do NOT care. Then they get mad that we float around trying to find a different barber. I started cutting my own hair and I’ve never been more happy.
Mos def yo. Even cats I go to over amd over agin will always fuck up or forget what i get. Even though its the same cut every 2 wks. Half the dudes are so stoned too that they fuck me up.
Antonio Montgomery I’m a barber myself in Raleigh NC and I know what your talking about the barber game is sooo water down with people just trying to get a quick dollar and not putting the time in to do the lil things that make a haircut personal you have to love what you do 💯💯 it’s crazy because for every one good barber it’s about 20 bad ones once you find your barber stay with him because it’s very few who have a passion for this 💈💈💈
Could you do a tutorial on how to do this on your own beard by using a mirror. I'm pretty sure you think it may be obvious but one side of the beard is always easier than the other. Or if you could point me into the right direction.
Wow! thank you for sharing your skills!! I've always admired a nice shape up on a man - can't wait to use this technique on my Amorcito! Lol! What razor do you use? Would you recommend using trimmers for a line up first? Thanks again for this video! 🙌🙌
Sick work, if you can just answer one question for me, I'm not a barbor can you do this on your self?? Another words I'm asking you can you do the same line on your self?? Vs some one doing the line for you
solid bro, could you pls do a video on a mohawk, teaching us how to get the top perf/ steps and also a business haircut. As these two styles are what i struggle with
Im not supposed to feel hungry for beards. The word crispy is not meant for beards. Im not supposed to think of beards the same way i feel about french fries.
Used to to always have trouble getting good lines when i had to much shaving cream or gel. Started doing it dry maybe just a little bit of warm water and it comes out great.
hello Jay thanks for all the videos I have been cutting hair for 20 years at home I have never used a straight razor until I saw your video on shaving your own beard I only use a straight razor and your ez blade shaving gel and your bump stopper and after shave lotion I'm about to order your books my home berbering has never been so good the straight razoring has taken me to a new level again thank you and God bless
I got a question about the #ezblade. Does it leave a sticky residue that needs to be rinsed off (like some of these gels on the market) or is leave a moisturizer feel to it..?
So, apparently I'm going to be doing my husband's beard since he hates waiting at the barbershop when we truly don't have the time, I guess they've never heard of scheduling appointments... And it adds up when you're looking at 25+ weekly... Not saying they don't deserve it but for the basic beard trimming? C'mon ... Anyways, where can I purchase the smallest blades for detailing the goatee? Like the center of it? I'm determined to give him an iron man goatee 😁. Also, what treatments are good to help his skin afterwards?
Hey bro that looks sharp very well done. I appreciate the info. I have a question for you, do you go against the grain on your shape ups? It's just that people with darker hair tend to leave somewhat of a stubble just going downward. maybe may technique is off?
This man just saved me a lot of money for going to the barber, I can do this myself now. Thanks a million
No matter how much time you take to do it, nothing will be "crisper" than your barber will..
@@ermal6157 true but if you are a barber cutting yourself then you will do good
I agree, I have long hair so I don’t even get haircuts anymore but saving money on my beard is helpful.
@@ermal6157get a friend you do his beard and he does yours😂😂

Now I have to have eyes surgery... Line was so sharp it cut my eyes just looking at it! That video was the truth! Great work and keep up the good work!

That is beautiful! The word, however, is 'crisp', which can also mean ' clean ' or 'in line with'.

Great technique brother. Crispy AF
Good looking fam always a good free nugget from a great barber. I am ordering more ez blade this week.
Very clean job. I know some guys can shave dry from the beginning, but that takes some practice. This is a good technique right here.
christianhope1000 What do you mean "don't go to high with blade or you'll burn them" at 4:44
^ yeah I didn't understand that either
christianhope1000 He is referring to the face being dry, so the razor will cause burn or irritation to the skin..
I understand that shaving dry will cause razor burn. What I didn't understand is what he meant by saying "don't go too high".
christianhope1000 I'm assuming he meant don't start shaving from high up the face come down.
