Couldn’t agree with you more. Great vehicle, nice size, great capability, they nailed the styling, but this so-called cheaper Land Cruiser is still way too expensive.
It's way way way way too expensive, and with the recent reliability issues with the Tundra and Tacoma... paying this much for an unproven vehicle which will almost certainly have recalls as well is just not a good idea. Toyota is taking advantage of people financially with these prices, on almost every model, and many of their loyal customers are going to other brands. I see it every single day in the industry.
My biggest beef with the new Land Cruiser is the 17.9-gallon gas tank. The average mpg is about 18, which means the range is only about 324 miles. The range is very small for a vehicle marketed as a go-anywhere off-road focused vehicle. It would have been nice to have a 23 gallon tank.
Then you add in the fact that once you lift it and put some bigger tires on it, it gets even worse. My wrangler is lifted 3” with a steel bumper and 35s with 4.88 gears and still gets about 17 mpg. With my 21 gallon tank, that’s about 360 miles of range _while fairly heavily modded._ Consider the fact that a Rubicon with the turbo 4 and 8 speed auto gets 22 mpg with the factory 33s, that’s a range of over 450 miles on a competing vehicle.

In Toyota 4wd applications, the ATRAC system doesn't get anywhere near as aggressive without the centre diff lock engaged. It's actually one of the best systems on the market, once you have the centre diff lock engaged. In low range, it's so aggressive it's almost as quick as positive lockers (not quite though); at least it's that way on the 200 series, and 4runners/FJs etc. The rectangle lights in the front look much better in my opinion, even though the round lights pay more respect to the heritage - the body and interior have much more rectangle lines throughout that the rectangle lights just "fit" better, but that's just my opinion. Stephen, Yes, like every SUV these days, Land Cruiser pricing is high. As Canadians, we have to be 'grateful' Toyota even sells us the 1958 model as they have cut us off from so many of their base models sold in the USA.😡🤬 Getting back to the vehicle, Bronco, Wrangler, Ineos and Defender all mount the spare tire away from the mud on their door style tailgates. Toyota made a major mistake taking this key feature away from their Land Cruiser 250 Prado. Beyond the spare access, the positioning of the spare on the tailgate allowed for increased fuel capacity around 30 Imperial/40 US gallons. Toyota also had a MAJOR brain cramp when they dropped the Prado's 40/20/40 second row. With 4 occupants in the vehicle, carrying skis, fishing rods etc will become a chore without that seat.Thank goodness they kept the traditional taller greenhouse which provides a substantial advantage in headroom over the 4Runner. The AWD system doesn't sound promising for being useful in sticky situations like intermittent slippery conditions in wet and slick on-road driving. But I would much rather have a naturally aspirated V6 and no hybrid crap... I'd give up a couple of MPG for more reliability.
75k 😂😂😂😂😂
The AWD system doesn't sound promising for being useful in sticky situations like intermittent slippery conditions in wet and slick on-road driving. If you hit a slick spot in sleet it doesn't sound like it's going to be useful unless the center lock is on. Hopefully you can drive on highway with center lock on at all times when in slick conditions
Way too expensive. Tires on this one are a joke, as is the ground clearance. No proven reliability.
Way too expensive
😂 Traction control system sucks.
I just wanna say, I love the organic feel of your channel so much so I actually stopped watching TFL..
Buy a Subaru. Haha
To expensive and the exterior look week like a stupid car inside looks nice but the way how this car looks it’s like week 1.0 liters Toyota lost the grip and now they will pay for the mistake sad because I am a Toyota big fan sad unbelievable
The price is definitely outrageous, but don’t blame Toyota or any other automaker. Here in the US, manufacturers have to deal with the relentless demands of the UAW, as well has the ever increasing burdensome government regulations they are saddled with. Increased production costs have to be passed on to the consumer if the company wants to stay in business. Think about this the next time you vote.
Right governments jacked up prices 50% in 3 years. Hmmm I don't think so
UAW is irrelevant to this discussion since they don’t represent any Toyota workers and this vehicle is made in Japan
Honda engineers laughing lol that you wasted 85k on this trash
Said no one
Honda doesn't make anything as capable off road.
@@jeremetriusoclaire6949Honda has better build quality than Toyota. I have owned a 2021 Toyota 4Runner trd pro and now own a 2024 Honda Pilot trialsport. My Honda does 90 percent of stuff my Toyota did.
@@derekschinke2512I owned 2021 Toyota 4Runner trd pro and now own 2024 Honda Pilot trialsport. My Honda does almost 90 percent of stuff what my Toyota did. Other than super rock crawling and putting big tires Honda will do everything 😊
@@derekschinke2512 would like to see a comparison of the coming Honda Passport & LC or 4Runner
overpriced underachiever from toyota... selling because its "Land Cruiser" name... this is over priced 4runner. Not a real V8 land cruiser!
i'll tell you what Mode toyota really has going for it... Its Please take my Money Mode... that mode works each and everytime ! without Fail... NO THANKS....I'll take the Ford Bronco dollar for dollar Anyday over this money pit.
What Toyota trying to do become Jeep except Toyota cars 🚗 🚗 can last very long time but who knows about this new engine 😁
Toyota is getting more expensive as the BBA! However, the quality and interior are not getting better still full of plastic! I am not going to consider the Toyota anymore! Toyota just isn't worth that much!
