    A religious person with good character is a rare find, and of course they deserve someone similar to them!
    Both spouses can't marry someone who is more 'religious' than them, so I guess one of us has to compromise to some degree. 😓

    I picked the wrong Muslim guy to marry. Our immigration interview ended in disaster, thanks to him, then after the interviewer told us we'd be given a second chance and called in for another interview, he fled the country. It took me nearly two and a half years to get a divorce afterwards. I cried so much during that time and my mom and grandmothers told me that maybe it wasn't God's will that I be with him. One thing's for certain, when you think you've found "the one", ask God and whatever answer you get, take it and don't argue.

    I myself am a 20 years old and i can see many teenagers/newly hit adults commenting about how their gurdian’s neglegance toward their marriage and stuff are increasing zina rate.
    STOP!!!
    You shouldn’t even try to justify ZINA with such a lame logic. Never do this. If you can’t get married soon then please have patience and try to be as Allah said-“Do not even go near committing zina” no matter whatever the circumstances may be.
    And thus, we may wish for a much better reward from the Almighty as was the test.
    May allah grant us all patience and piety and may our parents be proud of us on the judgement day.
    Assalamualaikum...
    (And btw, pray for me, I’d like to get married too. It’s getting too hard for me to tame myself.)

    Great lecture. Only issue -- it is not racism if I want to marry someone from my cultural/linguistic background because that plays a large part of my compatibility and is important to me. We need to be careful not to label everything racism. This is a preference or compatibility factor - not racism.

    • @arifadnan3224
      @arifadnan3224 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He didn't say every case of people rejected based on their cultural background is racist. The issue many second-generation youth face in the west is they want to marry someone who grew up in a similar environment. (same culture/both speak primarily English/french/german etc) but the parent would only accept someone who belongs to the same country, same state, same district. I have a friend whose parents said he could only marry a girl who is from a certain place in Karachi (a city). Many of these parents would prefer to bring a girl who grew up back in their country (someone who grew up in a different environment) over someone who grew up in the same environment as their child but of a different race. This is clearly racism.

    The common claim that 'Law is Love' is shown to be self-contradictory and logically absurd.
    Implicit in "law" is arbitrary regulation and arbitrary penalty for forfeiture. That's it; there's nothing more.
    Whereas, Love expressed, reveals creative principle and order; healing and restoration; emancipation and liberation.
    Love nullifies need for law. Law does nothing to heal, restore, emancipate or liberate. Law serves to condemn and imprison.
    In essence, Love is Life; Love is Spirit; Love is God.

    • @pristineforest4399
      @pristineforest4399 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Love, like all life experiences, comes with responsibilty. Love doesn't happen -it requires action-its a verb not a noun.

    • @brianhyde5900
      @brianhyde5900 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@pristineforest4399 Sounds good but what you have stated is the mistake of every legalist. You are talking about the obedience of law--thats what YOU understand by love. The legalist tries to change love into law, for the simple reason that he doesn't actually understand what the dynamic of love truly is in the first place.
      Love is altogether different from law. It is the fruit of the Spirit, the Spirit of Life. Its a NATURAL state of being. Our soul is Love for its Spirit is Love. The disciples were told by Paul to let the same mind that was in Christ Jesus BE in them. Why? Because its a magic formula? No because the mind of Christ was always the mind of his Spirit. The expression of his thoughts were a pattern of Love always, and the expression of his acts were a pattern of Love always. Jesus was Love --not by doing acts of law in order to become love, which is what you are advocating, but BECAUSE he WAS love. He couldn't BE anything else, or DO anything else.
      Likewise you and I must BE Love before we can manifest Love. All that stops us is our thinking.

    • @pristineforest4399
      @pristineforest4399 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@brianhyde5900 what is being referenced here is navigating love as a human. Ofcourse when a person is principled in God's law n their character exudes the knowledge n discipline required then their daily actions would reflect that. Now christians talk about Jesus in metaphysical terms separate from everday reality. Jesus was a prophet of God following God's law really that simple. No talk of soul n spirit can there be until each human has put a mirror to their heart n assessed their own flaws. Any talk of the matter in abstract terms is a mere smokescreen. Is not Jesus's law following the 10 commandments? Is that not solid law followed by consequence? Jesus had love to his flock but he also stressed following the way of the Father(God)- which comes with its own set of rules n expectations. Do not mention abstract/meta terms to a lay person until u can explain how that looks like in daily life etc

    • @pristineforest4399
      @pristineforest4399 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok having issues reading/replying to your last post(technical issues) only read "described like a true legalist". No use trading labels this gets tiresome n really no closer to understanding the love that we're also supposed to inhabit. Would a woman want a man who said love yet no action followed? Stands to reason that all types of love following some action. God is loving n most Merciful yet He tests his servants as a necessary test of faith etc anyways im over this chat-tc
