Thank you again for these great lessons. I took time to go back through all of them so far and take notes on any details I did not pick up the first time I learned this form. There was at least one new thing, usually several, on every step. Also, from my own limited experience teaching, I can appreciate the trouble you go to switching between standard position, class position, and mirroring. It’s not easy to keep all that straight, but all the different angles are really helpful. The one angle you used a few times (in a previous lesson, I think, not this one) that was not very helpful to me was a mirrored side view - that one was just confusing.

Hey David- Question for you. I've been wondering what would be a general good practice for breathing while doing Tai Chi. Any guidance would be helpful. Also, can't thank you enough for sharing your knowledge in this series.

Question can you describe what chi feels like coursing through your body?
I recall a session where at certain points it felt like my limbs were moving effortlessly a kin to the way you feel when you move underwater. No resistance the air it’s self felt like water I could literally feel the waves and vibrations of the air. Another time I was practicing and the movements even though I was practicing them fast it seemed like I was moving slow in slow motion at the time I was doing an exercise from Filipino martial arts that involve two sticks at a certain point I started moving effortlessly in slow motion and there was an icy hot sensation coming from the lower part of my body into my arms I knew I was going as fast as I could but it fell at the same time like I was moving slow the paradox was incredible and fascinating. What do you make of this

Hello Mr. Ross. I heard you say in one of the videos before this one that this series will only be on here for a limited time. I would like to ask you to pleaselet them be on here for a little while longer, since i have now come this last part of the first third (yay) and would really like to learn the full form. I really enjoy your lessons and find them relatively easy to follow. So i would appreciate it if you could let them be on here for a little longer, please. I hope you read this and want to thank you for sharing your knowledgewith us. Kind regards

Hi Tim - I've got good news. Since I started uploading this series, I tarted getting so many comments from people who were just finding it for the first time, or were really enjoying going back to re-watch some of the episodes, that I changed my mind and decided to just leave the whole series here. I'm so glad to hear that you're enjoying it! So don't worry, take your time and please let me know if you ever have any questions.

I am so glad you have left these videos on TH-cam. I have been doing Tai Chi with the Fung Loy Kok Taoist Society and am firm in the long form (which I imagine you know is adapted from the Yang). This year I have moved to an ongoing Yang class. I am able to follow the set with the class but there are some subtleties in the movements that are different. This series is a great help for me in making the transition from taoist to Yang.

DDR, can you speak a little more about the comparison and contrast of Tai Chi and Qigong? You have a nice segment of this in the Great Courses series. Thanks.

Hey Colin - Yes! This is actually a great question to answer in an upcoming show this week. But I won't tell you which one - so you'll have to watch them all. (hehe!)

So DDR, do we end this segment facing the same way we started but about 5 or 6 feet to the left (west)? If not, I might need to back go and rewatch a couple of videos.:) Thanks!
