It was good to see an honest review of the Brave 4 for a change. The last reviewer I watched seemed biased from the start, making subjective, nitpicking remarks about the quality of the case and video. However, the case seems fairly solid and well built to me. Others keep showing side by side video footage off the Brave 4 and the Go Pro, but to me the Go Pro footage looks faded and washed out compared to the vibrance of the Brave 4. Thanks for a non-biased and fairer review.
My pleasure! I still use this little camera all the time. It's able to capture some great footage and really nice colors. Granted, alot of the GoPros are worlds better, they are also much pricier. Price is very important to most people, especially right now.
Thanks for a fairer review than this camera is getting from some other reviewers. I bought a Brave 4 and the quality of the case and video footage is quite nice.
For the price it's an awesome little camera. You can definitely get something better but you'll have to pay more. I try to take the price into fair consideration.

For anyone trying to get it out of the display...remove the rubber portion just under the front of lens, pinch the tabs and slide backward.
Yep, exactly! When I first got mine it took me a good 20 minutes to figure out how to get it off of there, lol. I should have included that in the video too.

I bought this for our upcoming trip to Hawaii. I wanted something to record ziplining and didn't want to invest in a Gopro. Just looking to share our experiences with friends and family. Not planning to record anything for commercial use. This seems like it will fit the bill. Thank you for your information, it helped get me se up and started.

@@GadgetOwners we had a blast ziplining. Unfortunately, I didn't get to record the experience. I thought it was recording, but it didn't. I did use it snorkeling however. Got some great shots.

My remote doesn't work anymore. I bought other 2.4 like the original that doesn't work with my Akaso Brave 4 cam, but works with other H9R camera. Any procedure to pair the remote to the Akeso camera?
I don't believe so, you might want to reach out to the manufacturer about that. I do know that you can control it with a smartphone app though. It's called Hik-Connect

hello again!! I came up with another question, maybe you would be able to help. Ive got the camera all set up but am having trouble with the Cam King app. I am basically trying to see if I can save the videos onto my phone from this app but it is not really letting me. Go to the "Special Effects" setting and make sure that's turned off. That could be applying a filter. If that's not on, go to the "Default Setting" option in the menu, and reset them to default. Get a GoPro instead. I just got mine today and the quality is not that great. I know the price is a huge difference, but if you want to have beautiful video clips of your Hawaii memory, go with GoPro
Yes a GoPro does have superior quality no doubt, but for the price this Akaso still has really great quality. It really just comes down to your personal budget. Both are great cameras in my opinion :)
@@GadgetOwners Yes, I am using AKASO Brave for my car and I'm sure it will do its job. But for Hawaii, I would advise the original poster to go with a GoPro for memories

I feel so dumb for asking but how did you get the camera off of the display? I am scared that I’m going to break something, I’ve never owned a camera like this before. Please help!
Don't feel dumb. The same thing happened to me, lol. The camera is attached to the base of the container with a little clip that is similar to a clip on a backpack or buckle. If you squeeze the two sides of the clear buckle piece together you can slide the camera and the case off the bottom plate.

Oh yeah, one more thing...how the heck do you change attachments? The one it came with will not come off; it won't unscrew even when my boyfriend tried to do it.
Yes it was difficult for me too. Its attached to the case with a squeeze buckle. You basically have to squeeze the two sides together in the middle to be able to slide it off the case. And the black piece will unscrew, it's just very hard to do so.

Click the button on the front until the icon on the screen changes to the video recorder, then click the button on the top until you see the red light start flashing. This means your recording. Press the button on the top again to stopo recording.

Please more about setting - up the setting the Action Camera, never used one before!! Take the plastic film off, and charge both batteries first, then add your sd Card. Please show how set up the settings and connect to WIFI so I can set up on my iPad. Thanks!!
To connect the wifi to your iPad first turn on your camera > click the mode button 3 times to open the menu > scroll until you see wifi and click "OK" to open the wifi settings > it will show you the wifi name and password, you will need this password for the next step > now go to your iPad and go to settings > go to your wifi settings > find the network named AKASO and select it > it will ask for the network password, this is displayed on your camera > enter the password from your camera into your iPad and click Save > now your ipad is connected to your camera. Now you need to download the app named "AKASO DV" from the app store and open the app > click connect > and it will automatically sync to your camera. now you can view all of your photos and videos and download them directly to your ipad :) I hope this helps!

Anyone having trouble when you put the camera in the Waterproof case? When i move it make horrible noise? Any tips?
Is the case on tight? It shouldn't be making a whole lot of noise if the case is on correctly. If so, you can try packing something soft, like a tissue, under the camera to take up any spare room and stop the camera from moving. If that doesn't help then you might want to reach out to the manufacturer for troubleshooting steps, or a possible replacement.

How can I make this record video without it stopping and starting on it's own while recording?
There's a safety feature built into most action cameras called chaptering. By splitting up the video it reduces the chance of you losing all your footage if the file gets corrupted somehow. The idea is that if one chapter gets corrupted the others should still be okay because they're separate files. --- It also has to do with the FAT 32 format cameras use to transfer large video files from the camera to the usb and then to the computer.
This action camera akaso 4 is much better than to my SJ4000... I like Akaso action camera!

I know I'm late but, I tried following your exact instructions, and it will record for awhile and then the "card error format card thing" pops up. I'm not sure how to fix this. Any suggestions?
Try it this way and see if this helps.
1. Note: Recommend to use class 10 max 64gb micro sd card for this camera.
2. Insert the sd card totally into the camera before turning on.
3. Turn on the camera.
4. Click “Mode” button 3 times to go to setting mode.
5. Click “UP” and “Down” button to find “Format” in the last page.
6. Click “OK” button to format the sd card.
Let me know if this helps! If not I'll try to figure out another solution for you!

It comes with a few mounting adapters but they're not designed for cars, you would most like have to purchase another adapter to make it work in your vehicle. and there are better cameras if you want to spend more money, this is a great one for the price range.

@@GadgetOwners thank you and also since I posted this comment I was trying to convert my photos and videos to my computer and I was unsuccessful but anyways now when I try to record with that same memory card it says ( memory error) it will take photos though. I even tried to just format the memory card and was willing to lose all the photos and videos I had and start over but they don't erase they're always their. Can you help me???
@@andrearamirez4776 Try to use a memory card reader to view or delete the files with your computer, I've left the link to the one I use below. They also make them for iPhone and Android devices so you can edit them with a smart phone. Then reformat the card and all should work fine. :)

As far as I know this camera requires a memory card to store the files on. It should be on the side of the camera, if you see it push it in until it clicks and then you can pull it out. I use this memory card reader on my PC to transfer the files: amzn.to/366gHR0

No volume adjustment. One cannot hear the camera when it speaks.
Can use any kind of SD card?
It has to be a micro SD card. I always recommend the Sandisk brand.

How do u delete pictures/videos
You have to open the video/photo file on the camera and there should be an option to delete there. Alternatively if you have a memory card reader that works with your pc you could use that and delete them from the file using your computer. One of these works great for that: amzn.to/2O4xpc8
Can you show how you got it to record? I tried to press the watch-like looking device with the red and grey button, but it froze my screen!
To switch it to video you should just have to press the front button until the icon on the screen switches from a photo to a video, then you can press the top button to start and stop recording. When your recording the screen could turn off to save battery but it is still recording, if you want the screen to stay on the whole time you can can that in the settings.

Gadget Owners no it’s brand new, the camera doesn’t stop recording. Just the screen turns off which i don’t really like, then idk what i’m recording and when i’m recording
@@miszter2730 Its a screen off feature that helps save battery when shooting, since you really dont look at the screen all throughout use. You can also set it not to turn off in the settings.
