      - Yes, The GOAT convo is done
      - Depends on what happens now until he retires
      - No he won't be, but his lovers will use it to argue against MJ
      - Not yet, still has much more to prove
      - Yes, because he went there to win, and he proved his haters wrong
      -Durant's
      - Yes, THAT cross was NOT a double dribble
      - It won't, because it displayed a great leader in him by allowing another great star to shine
      - Not yet, as they need to win more titles
      - No, teams have always been dominant in the league

    • @omieg89
      @omieg89 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Tom Andersen but they bring up scoring titles. That would be a valid argument if Lebron was finishing 20th in scoring every year. Fact is that Lebron has a scoring average that is good for 4th all time and did it while taking 3 less shots than MJ. They've made first team all NBA basically ever year and finish top 5 in MVP voting. Jordan has DPOY but Scottie Pippen doesn't even have one and he is acknowledged more as a better defender than MJ. Lebron and MJ are both great and MJ has more accomplishments. But Lebron's career isn't over.

    • @tomandersen8078
      @tomandersen8078 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      omieg89 - you must be a lebron fan...you do realise what it takes to earn DPOY right? you do know MJ lead the league in steals x3 times - How could Pip win DPOY with MJ on his team, MJ, PIP and Harper were defensive machines...but at least Pip lead the league in steals to prove he can defend.....has LBJ? he is meant to be BIGGER, STRONGER, FASTER..so has he lead the league in blocks?steals?rebounds?...how about ASSIST??...Sorry but if you are that great you should be able to lead the league in one of those areas
      Less than 14 seasons - two Three Peats, 6 finals MVP, 5 NBA MVP, x10 scoring champ, x9 1st D Team, x10 NBA 1st team, DPOY, x3 NBA Steals Leader, 72-10 Team
      14 seasons - 3 titles, 3 finals MVP, 4 NBA MVP, x5 1st D Team, x11 1st NBA Team, x1 Scoring champ
      Sorry but how does that prove he is still in the convo? Yes LBJ is great, but nowhere near MJ great and to state otherwise is just hanging onto hopes - you're one of those people that give credit for coming second, sorry to tell you this kid, but no one remembers second place.

    I agree with Chris on LeBron continuing to lose Finals. We feel like 3-8 sounds worse than a number like 3-5, but it really isn't. Are we going to punish a player for making it through the playoffs and getting into the Finals? The only reason a player might be 3-5 rather than 3-8 is because he kept losing in the first round of the playoffs. So, how exactly is losing in the Finals worse than not even making it? Is LeBron supposed to try to lose in the conference finals, if he knows he has no chance in the Finals and losing would hurt his legacy? LeBron's numbers tell a different story when comparing him to Jordan though. It becomes obvious looking at LeBron's record that he might only be in the Finals every year because of the conference he's in. It seems like when he actually has to face a western conference team he fails more than he succeeds. Jordan on the other hand thrived against them. That still doesn't mean LeBron should be punished for making it to the Finals, but he shouldn't get as much praise either when comparing him to players with more wins.

  • @Brehon_TalkingFinance
    @Brehon_TalkingFinance 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Lebron built his team around him and it helps pad his stats. There is no true PG on the team. Williams is washed up! CLE needs a PG who they can run an offense through. But Lebron won't let that happen because he wants to run the team.

    • @kingalias
      @kingalias 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      You don't watch enough Cavs games. LeBron likes having players who can run the offense, esp b/c it gives him a different view of how the defense is scheming. The problem is the offensive system sucks, or the coaching of it sucks. It's the reason the offense struggles so bad when LeBron goes to the bench, b/c no one know what they were doing.

    • @Brehon_TalkingFinance
      @Brehon_TalkingFinance 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've watched enough Cavs games to know that when Delladova was there, he handled the ball a lot and the team played better. I've watched enough to know that Lebron picked his team and coach, and he knew they had no true point on the team because he wants to run things. That's why the team is lost when he is on the bench. His team, his players, his coach. No excuses!!! His super team was outplayed!! Point blank! Come back next year and try again!

    I had no problem with any of these arguments they made, except for one. They said you can't knock Michael Jordan for his competition in the finals, because he faced who he was up against. Thats almost word for word of what they said. Then later in the video they talk about Lebron's dominance in the east and the first words that comes out of Rob Parkers mouth. Well the east is weak. Youre knocking Lebron for facing who's in front of him in the east? Isn't that a double standard? Your knocking Lebron for the east teams not able to get it together?

      they didn't say that. rob did. also, the team's Jordan beat were great team's. Just not golden State with KD great. but the rules back then made up more than enough for the talent gap. also with these rules, those teams would be even better.

      to me the teams jordan beat in his time were not better than the spurs and the warriors james lost to. the only 'weak' teams so to speak were dallas 2011 and okc 2012. but 2007 spurs, 2014 spurs, 2015 Warriors and 2017 Warriors were better teams than the Lakers, Phoenix and Utah Jordan went against

      They're talking about the entire Eastern conference being a joke, not just the finals in a vacuum. That's the difference. Plus, Jordan went 6-0 with 6 mvps and no game 7s against all those teams, he didn't lose half of them. The GOAT conversation should've been over after the 2011 finals.

      it really was over but the league has to market it's best player. and if you think about, lebron is the one who started this conversation. no one was talking about this until he said he was "chasing ghosts". why? because no one considered him to be in the conversation. he tried to use social media along with the normal media to artificially make himself the goat because his accomplishments don't come close to Jordan's. but he does finally realized he will never catch Jordan and is at piece with it.

    Lebron isn't even top 5. The media and many who are too young have invested too much time and energy into campaigning for Lebron James. As his record stands now, 3-5, with all the super team moves, it's pathetic.

      GSW doesn't win that series without KD. They barely closed game 3 WITH KD, were blown out in game 4, and won game 5, in GSW by 9.... b/c KD closed the door. GSW doesn't win that series without KD, there's a reason Draymond Green went calling KD after they lost in 2016.

    KD just outplayed lebron on the biggest stage in basketball on every level. Only thing lebron is better at is passing and not by much. Kd is a much better defender and rim protector. Lebrons defense is terrible. I don't want to hear about responsibility lebron put that team together. When the the cavs needed a basket in pressure situations lebron was no where to be found when the Warriors needed one KD stepped up every time over and over including that 3 in lebrons face to take game 3. KD can also play off the ball something lebron struggles to do.

    Because lebron lost more finals than Jordan why does that exclude him from the goat convo? He goes more than Jordan what if he only went to 3 finals and never got to 8 and was 3 out of 3 right now in 14 years and never got to those finals and lost like Jordan did and got bounced in the 1s t round *(lebron never gets bounced in the first round ) , 2'd round, east conference finals and never met the warriors this year two years ago, the spurs in 07,'14. And the mans in '11 . Would it be the same ? I don't get it what if he ends up getting 2 or 3 more rings and loses another 2 or 3 more times. If he lost 8 finals and won 5 or 6 that's incredible who is ever going to that many that would double jordans appearances how can his greatness not be recognized. That would be as much as russel appearances wise. Nobody for a long time is going to that many as one player. Come on man. 🗣

Lebron guards 1-4 religiously stop it and centers to wayyyy better passer he does more than Jordan over all Jordan had one specific task score he was playing with at least 2 hall of gamers for years come on lebron takes bums to the finals stop it
