    Did you notice if the cooler restricted any air to the intercooler and let it get hot

    Hey, I like your videos. I'm a big guy myself, 6' 4" 500 lbs. Most vehicles don't have enough room for me. The x3 seems to have the most though. I'm wondering if I would be comfortable in one. I've been thinking I would have to get a 4 seater and move the front seats back. Could you do a video showing more about how you fit in it, how hard is it to get in and out, seat position, etc. There is just not any info out there for someone my size. Is there any room at all behind the seat to make mods to move the seat back at all? Even 2-3 inches could make a huge difference. Thanks and keep the vids coming.

      @civicb20z  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ttmatt absolutely I will get you a video. I currently have my seat lowered 2 inches and all the way back with plenty of room. And you have 2 inches on me. I would bet you would fit! Give me a little bit and I will get you a video

      ttmatt, I am 5'7" and weigh over 430 lbs. I sat in the 2018 Rzr xp and turbo dynamix and there was over 2" between steering and my belly. Also tried the 2018 General and I had maybe 3/4" in space. But the 2018 and 2019 Turbo S I had over 3" of space between my belly and steering and i did not have too tilt the steering up. I kept it in a comfortable driving position. I also sat in the Maverick trail and the commander and there was less then a 1/4" of space and tried the X3 and the steering would rub against my belly even when I had the steering wheel tilt all the way up and the seat all the way back. Pretty disappointing because I really love the X3 and a huge fan of Can Am. But Polaris are just bigger for us big guys. Hope this help

    • @ttmatt
      @ttmatt 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the info! So, you are saying that the Turbo S has more room than the XP 1000? I thought they were the same size. Also, the Maverick trail has more room than the x3? I assumed the x3 was bigger. Do you have any experience with the RS1? I really like that! Any more info you have would be greatly appreciated!

    • @scorchearth5808
      @scorchearth5808 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The turbo S has more room then the 2018 XP. Not sure if the 2019 redesign XP has been altered in space inside. If I would to guess it would be a No. I fit in both but I think the difference is positioning of the steering wheel. It feels like its mounted higher and that plays a part in that. They also use a different steering in the Turbo S. When I sit in the Turbo S I feel very comfortable, I dont feel tight, cramped at all. Feels like I belong in there. I Sat in the RS1 and that also has alot of room. The seats I think are the same as the XP so not comfortable in comparison to the Turbo S seats. But since you only have 1 seat its cheaper to swap it out with a suspension seat and that will be way more comfortable then the Turbo S seat.
      I am very disappointed on how tight I felt in both the maverick trail and X3. Can Am was always a dream vehicle for me to get. Maybe 1 day. :)
      I think once they solve the roll cage issues with the Turbo s that I will be buying that one. The dynamix in there is amazing and being a bigger guy like me I never have to worry about body roll, even when i decide to ride alone. I also have a bad back so when i test drove the 2018 Turbo Dynamix I hardly felt a jolt on my back when riding it hard and when I tested the General and XP 1000 I felt the jolts a little but riding easier because I did not have the same confidence in those 2 machines.
      Good luck with your choice ttmatt,

    I rode in a rzr 1000 xp today, I liked it but hear the x3 rides better and the seats are more comfortable. Did you try setting in the rzr b4 you got the x3

    • @civicb20z
      @civicb20z  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sheldon Swisher I did sit in both. Its obviously personal preference, but my thoughts on the rzr were this. 1) seats didnt feel that comfortable. 2) seating position was to upright. I like angle in my seat. 3) the rzr feels very tippy to me. The low seating position just feels better to me in the cornering.

      Jon Michael I'm a big guy as well and thanks for your reply, I'll be going to check out a x3 soon. Keep up the videos

      I am 5'7" and 430 lbs and I tested the Rzr Turbo dynamix and rode it really hard on a test drive and it had 0 body roll and was confident 100% of the time. I haven't tried a X3 because its too tight for me. The seats are not that comfortable in The Rzr's but the seats in the Turbo S are much better then any other Rzr. I think you should look at them

    What brand of side mirrors are those?

  • @zeroh_chill2966
    @zeroh_chill2966 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    You’ve probably long since moved on from this machine since you haven’t posted any new videos of it, but with the bubbles in the wrap, all you have to do is use a needle with some heat to poke a tiny hole and get the air out. When you squeegee it down, the wrap will cover any pin holes you make. I used to wrap cars back in the day and that’s how we did it with every wrap. You’ll never see it and the needle only taps the clear coat on cars. Makes for a perfect wrap every time.

      @@civicb20z Good to hear. If you’re ever out on your machine then, just slap a camera on it and let’r rip! Some of the best SXS videos around here don’t have any talking and minimal editing. People always think they need to “TH-cam” their videos with fancy intro’s and shock face thumbnails. 90% of those are just click through videos with no real content. Just ripping through some trails and listening to the engine on a 5 minute clip is all you need!

      They are heavy and they broke axles, front diff, and then driveshaft. I upgraded to a halo 30, rvc axles, and a carbon fiber driveshaft. Havent had a problem since.

    Is that the 8 gallon cooler?

  • @tm7840
    @tm7840 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hello Jon Michael, In regards to the CAN-AM LINQ 8 GAL (30L) COOLER BOX, how did heat from the engine impact the cooler in regards to keeping ice and beverages cold? I have a Maverick X3 X RC and noticed the bed gets incredibly hot to the point my standard Coleman Cooler did stand a chance. I realize the CAN-AM LINQ 8 GAL COOLER BOX is higher quality but is it able to keep your beverages cold when battling the engine heat? What was it like for your 3-day trip? Any and all help in understanding the impact would sincerely be appreciated. Thank you!

    • @civicb20z
      @civicb20z  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Todd Mcdermaid that is a great question! We went through a bag of ice a day on our trips. The ice melted fast, but it seemed to slow a bit once some water built up in the bottom. After 6 hrs of riding the bottles were still cold.
