Jon, you just cost me 400 hundred dollars because now I have to have the particle separator. Best video from you so far and you are really fixing that thing up good.
Suspension definitely needs an upgrade: new springs to sit at least 3 or 4 inches higher, add preload and a bit more damping. You'll be able to fly at twice the speed in the whoops while being way more stable. Nice build btw!
You have to do the fox recommendation on your suspension you are sitting to low, I did it on my RC and it made a big difference no need to change springs at all
Jon Michael my machine with proper adjusted preload sits at 16-16.5 inches ground clearance, most dealerships send these units out straight out of the crate without adjusting preload. Also the stock springs will sag out. I have 1100 miles on my X3 and the front springs were shot. If you don’t replace the springs, you can make the stock work but will need to keep adjusting but eventually you will need new springs. My shocks were built by Gary Fries at UTVShocks and at the time Eibach didn’t have the complete kit ready so mine only had the rear upper Eibach spring and the rest stock, now my machine has all 8 Eibach stage 3 springs. So I have a extra set of upper Eibach rear springs, I am in Illinois also. You don’t need the helper spring in the rear also.
Jon Michael with all of your add on‘s, cooler and no offense your weight I would highly recommend the stage 3 Eibach springs over the stage 2. Even though they are a little stiffer it will ride so much better than your current set up. Then down the road have your shocks rebuilt by a good tuner and that buggy will ride like a cloud. Shop around, you can get the springs for under 1k with free shipping from several vendors. (ie jeggs, summit racing and then your typical UTV parts suppliers)
Is this what everybody considers rough? Im not hating its just you would die in some of the places ive been in my can am lol I don't recommend it tho tears a lot of stuff up and can be dangerous. This place looks awesome but not very rough from what im seeing tho, Also amazing looking machine im super jelous of it!
That X3 is nice!

Add preload, your ride height is low. Back arms are almost parallel. And get the shocks built with Eibach springs.
bam530530 good call. Wednesday we added 2 inches. Ordered 32" tires and may add portals in the future.

And my machine is still riding on 30’s but will be running 32’s and 15in wheels shortly. Then my ride height will be in the 17-18in range.
bam530530 thanks for the info. I did not know any of this. I will look into the springs.
