This Riff from the song California Man has a little 'history' ;) I learned about it from my favorite band, Cheap Trick (track #3 off of Heaven Tonight) and put it on my solo album (also track #3 off of the Imagine Your Reality album...CT vocalist Robin Zander graciously sang on my version as well, so that was a HUGE thing for me!). It's originally a song by Roy Wood of 'The Move' (including band member Jeff Lynne, who went on to form E.L.O. ...see? Enjoy the Riff IS not only entertaining ...it's educational!). Being that I am an Ameri-Swede currently living in South Africa but originally from California, this Riff makes total sense (unlike my life...ha!). Here is my ode to (in my opinion) the greatest of the 50 States... because afterall, I AM a 'California Man'.
