I love the original "Hairspray" movie ! I remember going to see it TWICE at a local multiplex when it was first released. Thanks for uploading this fascinating "behind the scenes" look at its production. Interesting that in this footage we see a scene being filmed of Amber (Colleen Anne Fitzpatrick) being spanked by her dad (the late Sonny Bono) but there's no such scene in the finished film. Guess it "ended up on the cutting room floor" as the old saying goes.
It's one of my favourite movies of all time and I saw it at the cinema when it came out. I never went to see the 2007 version - maybe I should have. My real name is "Linc", so I had something in common with one of the characters. What's interesting is that in 1988 that era seemed as far away, as it still does today. Mainly because I think the culture changed so much, where as the culture hasn't changed as much since the 80s.
I cant tell you how obsessed i was with this movie and the soundtrack!!
Me.too honey!
Me, too!
Fantastic upload. Hairspray is one of my favourite movies.

After all that shit Amber does to Tracy and everyone else, it's very cathartic to see!
...Thank You for THIS!!... great little "Special Features" to a Very 😎CooL Movie 🎥!!
Love this film ❤️
Weird that they introduce the antagonist character before Tracy Turnblad

The 2007 version is absolutely worth it, if not for the songs alone. John waters also cameos in it.
A must see on DVD or on demand! You won’t believe how fantastic it is, It just a different vision of the same story! 😀
Just wow. Thank u & wow!
Ricki Lake’s hair was destroyed from this film
