  • Nice and quiet jeep road in Smokies. You can access it through Cades Cove Loop and it comes out on US 129. It has almost 20 stream passes. Very easy trail for stock jeeps. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

    I drove that trail last year with my 2017 Subaru Impreza and it did fine. I can’t wait to back there next month

    I was wondering if you needed 4wheel drive. I'm assuming if it's rained alot you do. Anyway next time I'm there gonna give it a try. Thanks for the video.

      There is only one tricky hill that might give you trouble if it is muddy. Other than that it is very doable without 4x4. Thanks for watching!!

    back in the 80's I did this a few times in .......a Ford Pinto SW, headed back shortly for the 1st time...

      Those pintos were something else! My dad drove his through several feet of unplowed snow to work. The floorboard had holes big enough for a kid to fall through! Hard to stop a pinto!

    Do you belong to a club ? We live in Rogersville, TN & just got a Gladiator Rubicon, looking for someone who knows trails in the area !

      Hello! Smoky Mountain Jeep Club is the only one I know. Heintooga Round Bottom, Rich Mountain, and Parsons Branch are some easy roads. For hardcore trails check out Coddiwomple Overland on TH-cam. They do a lot in that area.

    As of current month you definitely need 4wd. The 0:40 section has become heavily rutted and is steep and will cross up anything without solid axles
    Rest of the trail could be done in any crossover tho.
    My forester did it with momentum. But however, I am hard on it and dont care about breaking it.
    Nice little easy trail other than the washed out part.

    Do you need permit to drive on that road/trail?

    • @jeepadventures1339
      @jeepadventures1339  ปีที่แล้ว

      No you don’t need any permits but it’s one of the seasonal roads and it’s closed from 11/13/22 to 5/26/23

      Yeah, this a public gravel road that leaves the cades cove area of the park. There are no offroad trails within the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. It was closed for a number of years due to hazard trees that needed to be removed. It’s a nice drive and it ends at the middle of the tail of the dragon, aka Deals Gap. It has lays been on of my favorite motorcycle road leaving the park.

      So far Parsons Branch is our favorite because there are so many water passes. Do you have a favorite?
