Tough subject. Very real, very raw. Great performances.

I don't know, I was angry at his ingratitude, Then the blame game. I remember years ago when I was doing my internship in ICU, one of the male nurses was speaking to a suicide attempt and he asked. " Do you see yourself as a failure? The patient replied in the affirmative, to which the nurse responded with '"You're right you are, here, let me show you how to cut your wrists so that you succeed in doing what you tried to do." There is a lot more to my story but..............

Interesting tactics of that male nurse. Because one thing is you telling yourself that you are a failure and absolutely another story to hear someone else saying the same thing to your face and being serious about it. I can see this approach going both ways.

Wow! What a story.. Correct me if im wrong, but isnt that mean to tell a suicidal person? That can really push them deeper into the abyss of depression..

Tragic how many people who have decided to help people by working in healthcare are oblivious to their patients suffering. Compassion, empathy and kindness could change this situation if this was a requirement for those who are on the frontlines of helping those who need them.

@@payasotriste Yes, I was disgusted with him. I reprimanded his insensitivity and his reponsibilities etc ... but as he explained to me that this was this patients' 4 th attempt. It was costing the ratepayers $10000s to keep them alive (when they didn't want to live) For sure it was a cry for help but you can only help those that are prepared to do something to help themselves. Over the years I did toughen up, I had to

@@-svet-ka- agree with what you have said. To know your patient really determines the soft or hard approach.
