I don't know if you're looking for feedback but I watch short horror films everyday and I have some thoughts. As others have mentioned the acting isn't great but I think it would be helped by some changes to the script that make it sound more like natural dialogue. The posing on the couch is very awkward and unnatural, from their seating positions to the way she's holding the can. And I get that the story is supposed to flesh out the characters a bit and set the mood, but in a film this short, it feels like way too much time is spent on a scene that doesn't accomplish anything new.
This leads to my other thought, which is that the story ends just as it's getting good. Most shorts introduce the spookiness sooner, show you how it works, and THEN do the final scare cliffhanger, but it feels like you jumped straight to the last step. That's a cool scene in the truck but it doesn't feel final. This is the first truly odd thing that we've been shown, but then it just ends.
I think if you cut down the couch scene and introduced a strange event there (for example, David hearing his OWN voice being copied outside, causing him to investigate), and THEN the film proceeded the way it already is, that great truck scene would have a lot more impact because we've already been introduced to the idea that this is no ordinary person talking outside, and we've been given a hint that it can mimic. It would feel less like it's coming out of left field. I think if you then showed Aubrey visibly trying to decide which was the fake, getting increasingly panicked as she can't decide, then you might be able to cut it there and keep the same cliffhanger ending.
I understand if you don't care what randos online have to say, but at any rate it's always great to find smaller horror channels and I think this concept has a lot of potential.
I hope they do read your comment it has great constructive criticism and is spot on! Exactly what I was thinking/feeling at least.
@@roguemystique7 absolutely well said it good to give all kinds off negative and positive feedback and I agree it was like no ending abrupt did she get out or did the thing that process him get her was he really David or was there two David's one that the real David was chasing and the real David it didn't make sense who they were hearing

could have been a barn. or any type of other structure on the property let the illusion take hold.

Haha maybe… Really liked the humor in the dialogue, felt like making fun of typical horror scripts. The acting was a bit like reading the script, made it really funny as well… Arriving at the house, “so we are all alone, and far away to closest neighbor…” Was just waiting for “oh look, my cellphone doesn’t work, mine neither…😂” Great stuff!! 👍👍

The sound when talking was hard to hear, I could make out what he was saying but her voice was really quiet. I take it there will be a part 2 to explain the ending
well not overly original it was realistic .in reaction for both its what you would expect to see and do your self .not much more i can say . well done and acted

I liked the actors -- they seemed like a cute couple!
I liked how, when they were in the kitchen and heard a noise, they both turned their heads simultaneously.
David was brave to go on out there with his tiny flashllight. He shoulda grabbed something for self defense though. Even a pot or pan is better than nothing!
I'm confused though...was David standing behind and/or in front of the car? Or a David lookalike (s)?
In any case, she was smart to grab the keys and get quickly to the car, but she shoulda locked the doors, turned the ignition and gotten the heck out of there, no hesitation! I mean, she can't help David! To quote from the 1986 James Cameron film "Aliens", "HE'S GONE!!" Those off-screen toothless hillbillies are going to town on poor David! He's officially country married now!
But he'll learn to love the fresh air and simple country living, the difficult but, in its own special way, rewarding experience of animal husbandry...
