Sea Fishing UK - 2 days fishing with The FishLocker Boys | The Fish Locker

- Spend 2 days over the weekend with FishLocker junior and I as we do what we do best!! We fish some wrecks, some reef and some ground at anchor. Catching multiple species throughout the day with some fish to take home for the table. We talk about the methods we use and share useful tips and observations as we are doing it. Plus the bonus of a little extra father and son time under the water.
Here are links to some of the tackle that I used in this video. I hope it helps.

Your Son is so lucky to have a dad like you John .. days like this will stay with him forever 🙂
He’s my favourite little guy.
Respect to James. I thought you wasn’t giving your boy enough chances and on this trip. I absolutely love all fishing and I would’ve loved to be taught by my dad if I had one, it was uncles and in laws and being a butcher that taught me.
James is such a "hands on" young lad and he's learning in the worlds biggest classroom, you must be so proud.
Some things you just can’t learn in school.
@@TheFishLocker
You are not only a great father, but a happy one. I wish I had such a person as dad and mom. Keep up the love and caring for James.
@@lilytheboycat- I learned long ago that the parent you had is not nearly as important as the parent you are. 💙
@@TheFishLocker
I agree. And I prepared myself to be what you described. I was never able to have my own, sure I share love and kindness wherever I am. Thank you for your lovely chat today.
A fish is a fish ❤️
Beautiful seeing a father son relationship that loving and evident. ❤
Just sharing what we love doing.
James is really becoming a fantastic all rounder, piloting the boat, snorkeling, out fishing his old man, even filleting his catch. Won't be long before he takes over the Channel John. You and Hannah must be so proud of how far he has come. Well done James
That will be a proud and happy day
What a cute boy and such a good pop. Nice to see.
We love it.
Get in lad ! Driving the boat like its nothing 😊 Best times as a father when they are around that age ❤
Start em young. 👍🏻🎣
That was just lovely , the lad growing away , and learning with his dad , perfect.
We had a blast.
Captain James at the helm! Be still my heart.❤️. Love you guys so very much. I enjoyed watching James on his first snorkeling adventure. Another beautiful video, John.
He did great didn’t he.😊
Lovely to see the boys having fun under the sun ❤
We love it.
always good to get the young ones skippering my dad had me learning at 8
Start em young. 👍🏻
Looking forward to watching! And it's sunny here in Boston. Hello again!
Hello. 😊🎣
The look on your face when he firewalled the throttle was priceless lol.
Haha. Warp speed captain!!
Great to see you and James fishing together, he’s a real credit to you. He’s going to be a great ambassador for the sport in the future, just like his dad.
He’s a little superstar 💙
Another great trip with TFL. and good to see a skilled young sailor/fisherman👍😃
Go James💪💪🎣
And as always
Greetings from Denmark 🇩🇰
Thank you my friend and best wishes to the week to come.
It's great watching James' love and passion grow over time!
He makes us so proud
If kids had dads like you John, what a lovely world it would be 😁
Just doing my best.
I love seeing proud dad's with their children doing things with them that mom may ne a bit skeptical about but all safely and with good guidance!
Some things boys need to learn from their dads away from their mothers.
Want be long before James will need his own boat. What a way to spend your 1/2 term hols.
This was just the start of the school holidays!!
@@TheFishLocker is their more to come one wonders?
A nice young man you’ve got there. Memories for life for him and you.
Absolutely.
Always good to see a father and son fishing together. I had the privilege of taking my father on his last fishing trip before he passed. I may have been his daughter, but fishing with my daddy-doll in the rain when everyone else scampering back to our van was priceless! Thank you so much for bringing this memory back to me. I find you informative and a joy to watch.
I am glad that we could walk down memory lane with you Angie. 💙
Great to see young Capt James out with you, he is learning so much from you John.
Thanks for the upload mate.
Any time mate.
Well Done James.... what a great mate! Driving the boat, snorkeling, and fishing. Outstanding John & James
He’s a little trooper isn’t he.
What a breath of fresh air mate, could watch this content all day. a young lad taught proper stuff 💙
Some stuff you can’t learn at school. 😉👍🏻
Great Job James! Great video Thanks for taking us along with you!
Any time mate.
Have been watching your videos for a while now. Really informative and display the passion and knowledge you have for the natural environment. An immediate choice for me when catching up on the best of TH-cam fishing around the UK. Great to see James learning as takes me back to the days I enjoyed fishing with my father. Irritates me that those that just follow you out to marks can’t be bothered to do their own research and look for an easy ride. All I’d say to them is you’ll never learn if you always follow.
Glad to hear you enjoy the videos Matthew.
He's a lucky lad, fantastic dad that shows him the ropes.
It’s a father’s role and responsibility
If James carries on with fishing thruout his life then he can be thankful for the careful leasons that father John had passed on to him, I enjoy every minute of your films, thanks Fish Locker.
He seems to love it now so who knows? 😊🤷🏻♂️
good to see the lad out with you spending quality time with his dad and learning skills. And of course he bagged a couple of lovely looking Thornbacks well done James
James is a really good angler.
I think James had a good ole day. Things he will never forget and hopefully passes on to his kids.
That would be heaven
I enjoy this channel all the way from New York City! I've watched your best boy grow into such a fine guardian of the ocean, he's had a great teacher!
He’s a little superstar
I just love your family integration into your profession as a fisher. Bravo!
We have always been passionate about the natural world.
That bit of blue in the sky. They say if there’s enough blue sky to make a pair of sailors trousers it’s going to be a nice day. 😆 love watching and how well you teach James to do stuff like filleting. I’m the older female enjoying it all from the armchair. Still catching up with all I’ve missed before joining. Loved the Florida film. Some men sit all day without a catch… you’re kept busy every few minutes. Love the foraging for crabs and lobsters :)) thanks for sharing 👏
That's the proper way a father should spend time with his son. Well done, sir
🎣👍🏻
I love to see you and your son together . These are days that you will never forget . So special . Great stream keep them coming 👍👍👍👍
Cheers mate.
John I'm so happy to see the affection relationship you have with James . It reminds me so much of my Dad who gave his sons the same hugs and kisses as I received . Unfortunately you didn't see much of that with too many fathers in the 1950s and in later years the relationships with their sons was not close . My husband was not used to being hugged and kissed by another man but my Dad loved him and treated him the same as my brothers . The first 4 or 5 years of my married life my husband would go stiff when Dad pulled him in to hug or kiss when approached by Dad upon arrival and departure but eventually he got used to it and even hugged Dad first . When my Dad passed away , my husband grieved as much as we all did . My husband had missed that relationship with his own father and didn't realize that until his own father passed on .
I learned long ago that the parent you had is not nearly as important as the parent you are.
James is slowly growing into an amazing young boy. Watching him take his first snorkel without fear was beautiful....
Keep up the good work lads ❤️
It wasn’t entirely without fear, but he had me with him so he knew he was going to be ok.
Another amazing video ..well done ...did feel for James shivering after the snorkelling ...looked like he was sat on a washing machine shaking that much bless ...priceless family time and memories ...watch your back ..they grow up fast and James may give you a run for your money in the future ...thanks again for a great vid
Haha. I did warn him it was going to be cold. 🤣
You guys are awesome!!! Much love
I hope you had a great weekend mate.
John: Never forget how lucky / blessed you are to be able to teach James and watch him learn and grow. What a fine job you BOTH did with that filleting! Best from South Central Wisconsin. 👍
We are simply sharing what we love doing.
Farther and son making beautiful memories love it
So do we
Love the father and son relationship, 🎣🐟🐟🎣
💙
Such a fun day!
We always have a blast.
Well done James you taught your dad well, one day if he keeps paying attention, he might, might be as good as you, thank you James and John for another great video.
I hope so.
well done James, you are a very lucky lad, to learn so much specially bring in the ray. Enjoy your life with a brilliant dad, teaching all the know how to do with fishing and wild life. you have a very lucky and enjoyable life. some children have not ever seen the sea. Best wishes to you all. love watching your vlogs and would love to see you on our adventures in cornwall. xxxx
Being able to teach our children about the natural world around us has been one of my life’s great joys
that is what mums and dads do to teach our children the best we can. our sons are 38 and 40 and we would like to think we did our best. xxx
Really enjoyed watching this while drinking a cold Richard geer
All the best John.
You are a fantastic role model John. There is no classroom that can give James what you are teaching him. I've followed you for quite some time now and even I have learnt something in ever episode even bought my own Warrior 165 from watching your summary of boats when you were changing yours. Keep up the great work you are doing 🍻
I’m glad you’ve found the videos helpful mate. 🎣👍🏻
What you are teaching him is a life skill. Make no mistake about it, James has had an awesome education that will see him in to the future.
Some things you cannot learn in school.
Love to see the father and son bond and teaching your young lad 👌🎣
Thank you Carl.
James is becoming a young man, John.
He’s a little star
Wonderful video John & James. Always great to see you boys out on the boat. Great job filleting James. Two nice Thorn Back rays! Take care and stay safe. Graham
Those mackerel were delicious.
Little man growing up , top dad 👍
💙🎣
Great to watch, James already has an impressive skill set that’s only going to get better. Invaluable quality time together
We love it
Good morning Sir ,
Good morning Dad…..
Just a quick one to say how pleasing it is to see a “father and son” video , specially as now James is coming on to understand what you’re sharing with him.
“Nice one Dad” !!!!😂😂😂👍👍👍
Thank you also for the adventures.
Chris
James is just a little treasure. He makes us so proud.
John. Wonderful video the relationship between you and James is incredible.
And he's becoming a really good fisherman. Thank you for making my Sunday
All the best bud.
Always a great day out with you and young James. Thank you for sharing 😀
Any time Mike. 👍🏻
Ahh bless James he’s doing ever so well.
Use to Love being out on the boat with my dad when I was a kid especially out in a bit of roughers as he used to call it.
Great memories your both making together😁🤙
He does great doesn’t he. 😊🎣
so good that your son is following in your footsteps. He done such a good job.
I’m just encouraging him to do what he enjoys
James is growing so fast. It's was wonderful to see him snorkeling in the ocean for the first time. And seeing him filleting his own fish. Be careful in no time he's going have his own boat.
He’ll have mine
Well done James on your first open water snorkeling adventure love how you are so eager to learn from your dad in the best place ever the world outside a classroom
Haha. He is such a positive kid. He just wants to be doing stuff.
Glad to see you out with the boy. The years go by too fast. Seeing you guys out definitely brings back great memories with my son.
Happy times
You will both have woderfull memories, priceless and immortal.
💙
Was restless John it is 0309hrs here watching you and James, smashing, gosh James is shooting up!! Thank you both so much. Greetings from Cyprus. 🐟🐟🐟🐟🐵🐵
Have a wonderful week Jacqui. 😊
I can't believe how James has come on with his fishing/general sea life learning?but there again he has got the best dad/mam ever?you go James?keep it up John?❤from BIGMICK IN HULL 👍
He’s such a bright kid. He makes us so proud.
Of all the children who wish they could go fishing, only a few get to mess around in boats or dangle their feet over the side of a jetty. Ideally IMO, going fishing is the birthright of all children, at least to try it to see if they like it. And if not the sea, then there are lakes, rivers and creeks to try. Well done, John. In twenty years time, James will be tutoring his own children in the art whilst regaling them with Grandpa stories! Col, NZ
That is exactly my sentiment. Even before the channel we made sacrifices so we could give our children access to the water.
Well done James best boy filleting your own fish. Another great video from the Fish Locker xx
He did a great job didn’t he.
Nothing beats father & son time, love fishing and football with my lad, even now and hes 23 👌
It’s always time well spent

He’s a little superstar isn’t he.
I could watch James fishing for hours. He is so clever fishing, snorkeling,, driving the boat, there is no end to his capabilities. Of course he has the best teacher.
Some things you cannot learn in school, you have to learn by doing. 🎣👍🏻

James is a wonderful strong boy!I love how he casts in all the busy water!Love watching him grow! You are a fantastic Dad💥💥💥💥
What an awesome dad you are John. These videos will be here for when he grows up and he can pass it down to his kids. I cracked up when you said he floats well 😅😅😅 that is the important part you can teach him the other bits. God bless you and your family and loved this video thank you 😊

Just enjoying time on the boat together.
What a great couple of days! I recognize that little cove from “POLDARK”…the show that made me fall in love with Cornwall.
I’ve honestly not watched a single Poldark episode.
@@TheFishLocker I am sure you would recognize all of the locations. It is a beautifully produced show, the scenery is stunning. It instantly made me want to canter a big gypsy vanner along the cliffs!
Hey. I am a father of a young boy and watching you out there with your son puts a smile on my face. You're doing a great job my friend. Shaping him into a smart little man. Well done!
Just doing my best.
Your son will be so and already knows what a fabulous teacher and father he’s got John.John was that tongue in cheek about the very promiscuous Dogfish🤣
Haha. No i was serious
You are such a good dad, showing your son so many amazing things! I wish my dad did that with me when I was younger. My dad is is more of a hands off kinda person, so we don't have as strong of a bond as you do with James. I'm super jealous
I learned long ago that the parent you had is not as important as the parent you are.
Great video.
Thanks for posting it.
Thank you.
greetings from inverness, love seeing the progress of James. should do a series call "The Aquatic Diaries of the Mighty James".
watching you both reminds me of fishing with my dad as a child. so nice to see in this day and age. well done, God Bless your family
Happy times.
