Seahorses are so cool. They are so unique among the alien like world of the ocean. I’m a New Yorker & the Northeast’s waterways are dark & foreboding unlike the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean. Fortunately man has learned some harsh lessons about its ignorance with pollution & the environment especially the ocean spurring efforts to clean up & revitalize the environment. While we don’t have the exotic coral reefs like they do in tropical waters we do have diverse marine flora & fauna that is huge in scope. We obviously have nice beaches but there is also world class sailing, fishing & other related marine activities. I’m sure many would be shocked to learn that the NY-NJ-CT waters have all types of fish & marine life. Also due to cleanups a lot of marine life is thriving & there are seals, dolphins, whales, etc all around after their numbers had dwindled into near. Kn existence in the area. So there are even interesting dives in the area. I remember when horseshoe crabs were common along the Long Island shore only to go missing for years only to finally return. Groups have been planting thousands of mollusks too to reinvigorate the populations which help the shore with erosion among other things. The coastal flora & fauna in the Northeast is incredible & has come back after years of neglect & abuse which has been amazing to see. This video is a testament to that. Thanks for sharing your NJ scuba diving adventures with everyone🙂👍
