- In spring 2019, Riley Crossman vanished in Morgan County, West Virginia. Her family was concerned, knowing Riley wasn’t the type to run off. Tragically, eight days later, her body was found in a trash bag by the highway. The prime suspect? Someone who should have protected her.

I honestly think that the mother should be charged also because clearly she knew he was a pervert and she allowed him to stay in the house with her daughter! A parent is supposed to protect their children not put them in harms way!

I handled a call where a mother met a man at the Greyhound Bus Station and allowed him to stay in her home the same day. Her son walked to the restroom and opened his 12-year-old sister’s door to find a stranger on top of her. It's important for friends and relatives to monitor the choices of mothers with mental wellness issues to protect their children.
Shame on mom for having a drug addict around her children...
Serving your daughter up on a silver platter to an ex-con is unbelievably negligent.
This is SO UNFAIR that her mother did not get ANY trouble with the law for causing her pain and suffering.
I live right near here my husband participated in the search for her. Everyone thought the mom should have been charged as well. It is heartbreaking what happened to riley. The road they found her body off of was a mountain road with a steep drop off he threw her off of it like trash. He was the trash that needed taking out.
I just got custody of my son because his mom thought it was ok to have a guy move in with them who was a convicted four time domestic violence felon, who is currently on parole.
The “mother” should be in jail .

This mother knew that he was sexually aggressive when he used drgs, and he was using every day, and yet she was ok with him living at the same house where her younger daughter lived. Eff such mothers.
def sounds like the mom knew he was like this towards her daughter :( the fact that she didn’t check her room and said it’s for “privacy” but also said he may have sexually assaulted her was very telling. the mom doesn’t sit right with me either : (
McCauley was my next door neighbor for close to 20 years. He made our lives a living hell - he was reported to LEO many times and nothing was ever done. My late husband was a disabled veteran and it got so bad that he had to carry a weapon on his wheelchair anytime he was out of the house.
What a terrible mother. Some people don’t deserve to have kids.
