    Also a great triathlon "training" watch- pool swim, open water swim, cycling, running.....no TRI or multisport mode to use during an event but for$249.99 it's a great training watch.

    Does this watch recognise Individual Medley when you swim Fly, Back, brest and free in this specific order?

    Not sure which Garmin watch I got, but it does not track different strokes or kicking laps. A huge short coming as far as I am concerned.

    The best review i’ve been watching about this watch! I don’t decide if buy this one or fr 245, because 245 has hr wrist underwater, but doesn’t have a lot metrics for swimming! But it is garmin pay and more exercises! It’s hard to make decision! Currently i have vivoactive 3, swim 1 and vivosmart hr! Vivoactive 3 i sold! And to have a hr i swim with both watches ! Probably i’ll choose swim 2 because swim is my sport and bike and running it’s not!!! Thanks again for your insights cheers

    Can it be used for running and cycling too?

      Thank you for your question. Yes, the Swim 2 has activity profiles for Outdoor Running and Cycling in addition to Swimming, however the activity data is limited to GPS distance, speed, and pace.

    OK...I got the watch....and no patience. Anyone know a video to get it going and set-up?

    Mine can’t distinguish between freestyle and breastroke. Also sees legs only backstroke as a rest period. Doesn’t alway register steps but registers arm movement as steps. Sometime sees freestyle as mixed stroke. This is frustrating. Just as well I can keep count! Seriously it does reduce my confidence in any of its metrics.

    Is it possible for swim 2 to show the distance swum for the last 7 days instead of starting to count every Monday ?

    Does this watch have any 🎶 function?

    • @GarminRetailTraining

      Thank you for your question. The Garmin Swim 2 does not have onboard music capabilities. However when paired with a compatible smartphone, it has onboard music controls.

      Thank you for your question. The Swim 2 does have a cycling activity profile, but does not have the depth of data available as our cycling specific products.

    A swimming watch that doesn't count pool lengths in real time!

      Can you please indicate a better Swim Watch than Swim 2? Tks

    • @greghill6117
      @greghill6117 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Caegui It's still the best swim watch. I changed it to distance instead of pool lengths and it has worked flawlessly. For open water swimming the GPS is excellent and the heart rate monitor works really well in the water.

      Thank you for your question. The Swim 2 doesn't show a rolling 7 day history on the device itself, but you can get a rolling 7 day history through Garmin Connect Mobile. In Mobile, if you select Menu>Activities>Swimming, you will see the last 7 days of activities showing daily averages, total distance, and total calories with a chart above for each. Under that, would be links to view specific activities for those days to see more details. I hope this helps.
