Incredible work Well done the Moebius Jupiter 2 . Well done . I had the Polar lights Jupiter 2 to include the Chrome one . I had Scratch built the Interior lights was going to buy a LED board for the Fusion Core Reactor. But he wanted a 150 bucks 15 years ago . I couldn't afford it so I bought a 3.50 cents LED box it only blinked on and off . And scratch built launch pad it wasn't exactly like the one on the show but still looked pretty cool I wish I could post photo of it .again Very well done I love it . For my next project I want to do a Moebius Jupiter 2 . Any one posting negative comment probably couldn't put together a Monogram Snap tight . Very well done
Sounds like it has at least 2, maybe 3 separate "engines" working in parallel. You can hear each one spooling up in turn, and once they are all up to their idle speed they then ramp up their turbine RPMs, characterized by the rising pitch of all the engines/turbines acting together. Reminds me of when C-5 cargo planes would fly over our house. You could hear a high-pitch turbine sound and a low-pitch turbine sound at the same time, generated by the same engines when they flew over.
Nice video. But it's so cute we once thought you could travel in space in anything less than a mega structure. You need the discovery one not a tiny saucer. Lol. And that's just Planetary travel. Lol
You can get this on line. Search for "Mobeus 18" Lost In Space Jupiter-2 Space Ship" It is around $100 or so. I did the sound effect from my home stereo. I You Tubed "Jupiter-2" engine sound and this came up. As for the launch gantry, there are a few out there. Also purchased the lighting kit for around $120. Whole model I would say I have easily $600 into it.
Always been a fan of the show and absolutely love the engine sounds of take off and landing and everything in between. Now the ultimate question which I still haven't received an answer to and if somebody is able to provide it would be so awesome and appreciated :-) Somebody said that the original making of the sound was something like a scissor lift or some type of electronic jack type of contraption that was supposedly where they took the motor sound and ran them through a reverb type of effect to create the sound. Does anybody know what created the original sounds and how they made them? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you again for sharing a piece of history of the best engine effect sound ever!
You just cannot beat the old classic flying saucer shaped crafts of the 50's and 60's. Star Wars ruined the TV and movie's space ships old designs with their highly detailed lines and ridges and spikes and so forth.
Lloyd Dunn ...yes!...you can download a simple TH-cam video to MP3 converter app/file....find the sound on TH-cam and download the TH-cam video, from there it will direct you to download this TH-cam file to ONLY sound and it will save it on your phone in sound folder!...that's it!...just find the file and use it as a message/ringtones/alerts and even alarms...IFFFFF your phone is capable of recieving these sound files!...Most phones now days do accept them! "Good luck, Lost In Space fan!"....Hoped this helped!

Very cool. All that's missing is the glowing effect around the Jupiter 2 from the Anti-Gravity Drive used to escape Earth's Gravity 👍👍
That is the coolest thing I have seen with Lost in space! Great job!!!

This ship is cooler than the remake of Netflix, should have made igual, just with some minor updates.
Sounds great! Would like it if you could hear the engines while the ship is lifting off!

Fantastic! ! Awesome! !
AWESOME!
Why could'nt NASA and private enterprise create a real Jupiter 2 instead of Models and other fake fantasy stuff ?...
How was the original sound made?
I'm trying to reach DON HALL,JR. to find out! Sounds like a siren or something....
Where can I get one of these?
This would have been a much better sound for Klatus ship in 1951 version of The Day the Earth Stood Still.
Is this a Moebius?
Mark Terene Yes.
