I want one.
How did you do this?!
Love it.
Where can I find this sound!? Awesome!!
I bought it online.
Cool!
The most incredible engine sound from any spaceship ever on TV or in the movies. Nothing compares. Go Jupiter 2!!
Awesome ship luv it
Always been a fan of the show and absolutely love the engine sounds of take off and landing and everything in between. Now the ultimate question which I still haven't received an answer to and if somebody is able to provide it would be so awesome and appreciated :-) Somebody said that the original making of the sound was something like a scissor lift or some type of electronic jack type of contraption that was supposedly where they took the motor sound and ran them through a reverb type of effect to create the sound. Does anybody know what created the original sounds and how they made them? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you again for sharing a piece of history of the best engine effect sound ever!
Great video. Well done model and sound effects. Thanks for sharing.
The BEST spaceship engine sounds EVER created!!!!!!!!
Show de nave amo a Júpiter 2
Incredible work Well done the Moebius Jupiter 2 . Well done . I had the Polar lights Jupiter 2 to include the Chrome one . I had Scratch built the Interior lights was going to buy a LED board for the Fusion Core Reactor. But he wanted a 150 bucks 15 years ago . I couldn't afford it so I bought a 3.50 cents LED box it only blinked on and off . And scratch built launch pad it wasn't exactly like the one on the show but still looked pretty cool I wish I could post photo of it .again Very well done I love it . For my next project I want to do a Moebius Jupiter 2 . Any one posting negative comment probably couldn't put together a Monogram Snap tight . Very well done
I was watching planet of the apes at one point and when they shipped crashes on Earth you hear the same sound they took the Jupiter II sound.
Why could'nt NASA and private enterprise create a real Jupiter 2 instead of Models and other fake fantasy stuff ?...
Sweet model!
Nice video. But it's so cute we once thought you could travel in space in anything less than a mega structure. You need the discovery one not a tiny saucer. Lol. And that's just Planetary travel. Lol
Very cool. All that's missing is the glowing effect around the Jupiter 2 from the Anti-Gravity Drive used to escape Earth's Gravity 👍👍
Great job. Especially on the interior!
I wish my car sounded like that
Were does the chariot and space pod fit
Plus the engine room and all environmental and fuel systems/
Awesome display!!
Beautiful work!
Very cool
After that camerawork, I'mma need a Dramamine.
very impressive! Nice detailing, and sound effects. All that is needed is Lift Off!
Really cool, these recreations are better than the original show that I grew up with.
Love That sound
I love this sound!

Hello Hank T, You should be proud you have done an amazing job here, especially the Jupiter 2 launch gantry. Where did you get the gantry setup? was it a kit, is it your own creation? Are there plans out there in google land somewhere? I only ask because this summer I plan to start my own Moebius Jupiter 2 lighted build. I have everything for the lights and sound but the launch gantry would be a super amazing addition to what is already a perfect model. Thank you
Jim Rauch I googled it and found it on the web. Paid a lot. $185.00. Was worth it.
Great way of showing off the encounter with the bubble creatures.love that episode.brought back loads of memories.yeah!thank you so much for this.
Always loved the launch sound effects from the Jupiter two engines.cool model you have there.love the robot B-9 underneath it.perfection.
I remember that episode!nice touch with the sound track!cool!
My favorite sound effect from LiS. Really nice model!! Thanks for sharing.
Awesome job !!!
How was the original sound made?
I'm trying to reach DON HALL,JR. to find out! Sounds like a siren or something....
I have GOTS ta get me one of THESE!!!
You just cannot beat the old classic flying saucer shaped crafts of the 50's and 60's. Star Wars ruined the TV and movie's space ships old designs with their highly detailed lines and ridges and spikes and so forth.
Sounds great! Would like it if you could hear the engines while the ship is lifting off!
the best liftoff of the Jupiter two was in the episode "The Derelict "! Don West hits the thrusters and takes off!
Frank Benanti Agreed.
Really well done! As the others have said, sound effects are amazing!
Sounds like it has at least 2, maybe 3 separate "engines" working in parallel. You can hear each one spooling up in turn, and once they are all up to their idle speed they then ramp up their turbine RPMs, characterized by the rising pitch of all the engines/turbines acting together. Reminds me of when C-5 cargo planes would fly over our house. You could hear a high-pitch turbine sound and a low-pitch turbine sound at the same time, generated by the same engines when they flew over.
Very cool!
Is this a Moebius?
Mark Terene Yes.
This ship is cooler than the remake of Netflix, should have made igual, just with some minor updates.
Brutal. The sound was quite impressive!!!
Wow!!! I always loved this sound. Still gives me goosebumps. Thanks Hank T Nicely done.
This would have been a much better sound for Klatus ship in 1951 version of The Day the Earth Stood Still.
