I was vegan for 3 years. I couldn't control my Crohn's disease but I loved the diet and felt great. Went carnivore 2 months ago and my pain has dropped 90%. I don't want to stay on this forever, but probably another 3-6 months, then try SCD.
I was raised vegetarian and then went vegan for 10 years. I had so many chronic ailments, I can't even list them all here. However, I always thought it was just my genetics e.t.c I started eating meats such a beef for the first time my life a year ago and my life has started yo change drastically! I've lost a tonne of weight am not constantly hungry anymore, my period pains have disappeared and many other things are starting to level out. It's still hard for me to eat meat as I love animals and I have to switch off that part of my brain but its amazing what's it's doing for my life..
NO need to 'switch your brain off'. Just take responsibility for whenever you do need to eat meat [it ain't a lot] you do it properly. E.g organic non processed where the animals had a proper life, and death.
Is it strange that we're the only animals one earth who eat based on philosophy and emotions? There is not one animal on the planet, I venture to guess, that they feel "bad" when they make a kill to survive.
you are actually saving animals by eating meat, indirectly. Have you ever seen a combine harvester at work, and the swarms of gulls and crows following it? It chops up everything in its path, all rodents, rabbits, hares, ground nesting birds, fawns, even stray cats get killed. By biomass, more animals get destroyed raising cash crops and that's not mentioning the pesticides, and all the other chemicals being used instead of having livestock grazing and returning nutrients into the soil and keeping the land biodiverse.
Ex Vegan of 2 years (around 2010, when there weren't many vegan products then). It destroyed my health which inc bleeding gums, headaches, eye bags, terrible skin, weight gain, stomach cramps inc IBS and I will never forget the point of my delusion when I would wake up multiple times in the night with SEVERE hunger pangs and I would think I'm burning body fat and would suppress this orange juice. I remember when I eat lamb for the first time in 2 years and I could feel my body literally say THANK YOU. I have since gone back to animal products and have no health issues since.
I wonder how I managed to stay whole food vegan for 9 years. I often had fatigue, but my blood tests were always perfect. About 1.5 years ago I started having bouts of extreme lower abdominal pain. Went to the ER/doctor many times, did all the tests, couldn't find what it was. They put me on birth control thinking it was endometriosis. Well I had a diagnostic laparoscopy and of course I had nothing. I was tired of being in pain, so I stopped eating fiber since I had noticed that fasting helped with stopping the pain. Slowly it went away and my digestion became so good. No more gas, bloating, pain or irregular bowels. Crazy that fiber is promoted as such an 'important' part of diet. I feel so much healthier eating a lot of meat instead. And the fatigue is slowly going away as well.
Like one of the girls was saying: You just don't make the connection to the food. And doctors aren't focusing on your diet either. They are symptom managers, so yeah.
I was vegan for almost 5 years. I was an ethical vegan who ate about 90% wfpb diet. I was ok for 2 years and then my entire health slowly started declining. I did veganism right. Ate a wide variety of foods, took the supplements, listened and followed the plant based doctors… but I eventually became so unwell I was literally forced to eat animal products again due to I couldn’t eat anything plant based without being sick to my stomach and it coming out one way or another. In a matter of months my long list of illnesses was gone. 😮
Hey man, you are one of my inspirations on why I wanna go carnivore, I started developing IBS and I've had stomach ulcers and now it seems my IBS is turning into leaky gut. I want my health back and you are one of the reasons why I look forward to do carnivore. Keep it up, much love!
Long ago I was vegetarian for nine months. Despite taking tons of supplements, I got more and more tired. To the point I would be just sitting there and wake up hours later not even realizing I was falling asleep. Happened twice and I thought before I end up in the hospital, let me try eating a steak. So I made one for dinner and went to bed. Next morning I woke up with tons of energy. And that was the end of me ever being vegetarian again 😂

You guessed it plenty of carbohydrates pasta bread etc some veggies but not much.. he explained that that was always a problem in the past too many carbohydrates. "Starches" his term.. the few times in the years ensuing . If I've ever enjoyed a carbohydrate heavy meal. I felt like I was literally high. My mind was foggy. All kinds of Tummy problem. As I've gotten older I don't have health problems. I look much younger than most of the people I grew up with. I exercise everyday. Weights power walks push-ups my diet is about. 75% beef. 15% meat and fish. 10% green veggies. Salad greens type of stuff.. all these years people have told me I would get sick from all my meat consumption. Totally wrong
The "problem" with taurine is that it is destroyed by heat. If you only give your cat cooked/roasted meat, it will become ill. Not immediately, but after a few months. That's why taurine is added to the food you can buy everywhere. For meat lovers, however, this also means that it is better not to prepare your steak "well done".

When I was vegan I was hungry, sick and tired all the time. My skin was terrible, pain heavy 10 day periods, joint and body pain, hair falling out and bleeding gums. The worst was having chronic gut issues that NO amount of pre and pro biotic would help and taking very expensive supplements that don't work. I tried carnivore because I was seriously afraid of the rapidly spreading arthritis and associated intense pain and my constantly bloated and windy gut. On carnivore it only took 3 weeks for my gut and skin to heal and about 4 months for the arthritis pain to go from level 10 to level 2. Have been carnivore 14 months now still have some arthritis pain occasionally if ive been very active but it doesn't last long and i dont have any swelling in the joints, don't need to take any pain relief pills and it keeps getting better. I don't know if carnivore is a cure for Arthritis but it definitely has helped me ALOT i regained full mobility and have almost no joint pains. Have noticed that if I eat any thing with alot of sugar or any kind of flour my arthritis pain, stiffness and swelling will come back at full force and linger for about 3 days. Just 1 crossont or 2 slices of deep dish pizza is enough to make me bloated, fart constantly and limp in level 6 pain for 2 days 😐

18 years on a vegetarian and vegan diet. It's hard to shift this, to make it sense to yourself. It's almost like betraying your own beliefs. On the other hand, my body has so many issues now. I just can't help but eat meat again.
I was an ethical vegan for 5.5 years. Prior, I was in amazing shape and very healthy. About 3-4 years in, I noticed my gums bleeding and receding (never had a cavity or issues with my teeth all my life), hair thinning, my body turned to "skinny fat' despite keeping the same workout routine, sleep suffered, anxiety which I never had before, bloated all the time, never feeling satisfied or satiated after meal despite eating well over 3,000 calories a day. I switched almost a year ago to mostly raw grass fed meat, raw pasture raised eggs, and wild caught fish (most of it supplied by small family run organic farmers within 20 minutes of my home). My teeth do not bleed anymore, my dentist was shocked by the health of my teeth and the regrowth of my gum line, I am in the best shape of my life, my mental health has greatly improved, I finally feel satiated after meals. It was the best thing I have ever done.

I tried living on a vegetarian diet for almost a year, I felt horrible and I constantly suffered from outbreaks of shingles. After a year, while cleaning up my freezer, I found an old dried out steak at the bottom of my freezer. I couldn't help myself and cooked and ate it. I felt myself coming alive again, the shingles went, I came of the vegetarian diet and never looked back.

I think the point of people comparing a vegan diet to a crappy one is pretty spot on. I dont subscribe to any diet other than trying to keep things varied and balanced, and its gotten to the point where I get some cravings for fast food and still have it sometimes, but it makes me feel broken for a day after.
been on a variating diet for all my life 30+ years up till 2 weeks ago. used to consume more carbs and plant based products, oils ect with a ratio of around 10/90 (10 is any kind of meat/fish mostly white fish as well) and sometimes i would simply skip meat. i sadly never recognized the signs my body was giving me as 'you need to do something' signs.. up until 2 weeks ago after watching multiple carnivore and keto based diet youtubers sharing their story (which is ALL the truth) i quit my normal diet and started eating red meats including salmon, eggs + salt. water for hydration. roughly 3 days in eating solely red meat/salmon i felt amazing! i would start my day roughly around 7 in the morning either with a portion of ribeye (or other steak of choice, red meat) combined with 2-3 eggs and salt on both to taste. for most of the days i don't feel hungry, i feel sharp, full of energy, and even my spare energy feels replenished like i have spares on top of my spares.. around 4-5 in the afternoon i start to feel hungry again but i won't give in until its about 6 which is when i eat again. when it comes to drinks, just water throughout the day whenever i feel like it. haven't used electrolytes(yet) as i don't feel the need to? maybe this will change at some point.. but long story short, folks, LISTEN to your body! it IS crying for a change!! do something about it.

The vegan movement was started as a successful psyop that plays on typical human behavior with food snobbery. Including the morality issue has emboldened its progress. Sports stars and celebrities who claim to be vegan are paid to propagandize its lifestyle, but they are slipping proteins in private. Sometimes they are forced to promote it under threat of failure in careers.
I disagree with having respect for vegans. Not because they've decided to eat only plant material but because it is a religion for them and they become fanatical acolytes of it. Like the guy with the "Sea Shepherd" hat - a sure sign that his emotions are what drives him and not reason or facts. He's looking for a cause that hits him in the "feelz" regardless of any actual truth it may be based on. Facts and critical thinking generally have no place in the thinking of any fanatic, regardless of stripe.
It is a religion, the whole plant based idea was established in 1863 by Ellen G White who had a "vision". During those times, there were Temperance movements, but Dr. Kellogg was involved, they established the 7th Day Adventist Church who to this day influence the government, AHA, and many foundations, even the Dietitians academy was founded by them, they even have their own medical books revolved around plant based, they also have clinics around the world pushing the same thing. Dr.Kellogg developed a cereal company and many others copied, the cereal was created to make people dull, and not feel lust or sexual feelings, and to stop masturbation.

Lee is fine with whatever people choose to eat. He is in no way critical of others choices. He offers us the information to learn about the health benefits of the ancestral diet, and how produce and processed foods affect our bodies. In a recent podcast Lee stated the definition of carnivore is any animal that consumes more than 51% meat, although many carnivores consume 95% meat or more on average.

In the dead of winter (in cooler latitudes,) this fish goes all carnivore eating worms n prawns because of lack of weed growth. Even the weed they prefer to eat is covered in microscopic animals in season. Did I mention that luderick are tasty to eat? Is veganism caused by insanity or is insanity caused by veganism?
She's feeling human again, classic. That other girl was starting to cry talking about how good the salmon had made her feel after all those vegan years.
The human diet should be "seasonal omnivore". We eat what is available to eat at the time we need to eat. This would be predominantly meats, eggs and seafoods with a smattering of fresh raw produce throughout. During the late summer and fall we would naturally consume a higher percentage of plant material where as during the winter and spring meats would constitute a larger portion. Cycles are how we evolved, not in a static state of consuming just one source.
I am pretty certain this is why restrictive diets and periodic fasting show such good results(at least the first few weeks). Neither our bodies nor our minds deal well with stagnation.

Just wondering if you eat mutton over there in Scotland ? I can get lamb here in U.S., but finding it difficult to find mutton. I think mutton fat is the best. Probably has much to do with the fact they have to raise them on the pasture for 3 to 4 years. Probably not as profitable.

I was so brainwashed that I actually persisted with that madness for 25 yrs even though it was causing internal bleeding in my intestines to the point of severe anemia, along with psoriasis, hair loss and hormonal problems. Carnivore for 3 years and on my way to recovery, but I really messed myself up
Wow. That's 7 years longer than me. Hope we both will heal!

Just watch nature documentaries about predators it'll ease the burden 😅
Happy for you.
‘In 2010 when there weren’t many vegan products’ 😂😂😂 Are you for real? Literally 80% of what people who are repulsed by the idea of veganism is vegan.
As an experiment I would reccomend trying to just red meat, salt and water for a month or so
I was vegan for almost 5 years. 😮
Cave men didn't take supplements. Probably any diet where you have to take supplements is not done right.
Hey man, you are one of my inspirations on why I wanna go carnivore, I started developing IBS and I've had stomach ulcers and now it seems my IBS is turning into leaky gut. I want my health back and you are one of the reasons why I look forward to do carnivore. Keep it up, much love!
My IBS was mostly caused by vegetable oils and preservatives.
Vegetarians are the same as meat eaters. Both eating unhealthy foods and both abusing animals and both delusional.
I was raw/vegan too for 7 yrs and the health issues I had at the end and of course was told I wasn't doing it right!! omg
Raw vegans have it the worst, because cooking vegetables improves their digestibility.
True, but overeating veggies period is not healthy for many raw or cooked
@@jodiburke16 It's not. But there are common plant foods that lots of people are sensitive to. A lot of people are unaware and thus have no idea they should try to see whether their symptoms will go away with a well-designed elimination diet.

I was vegan for two and a half years. Been three years since I reintroduced animal foods. Still got so mich healing to do, I really fucked myself up. Been on and off of keto since before I quit veganism. Really hoping carnivore fills in those gaps for me and allows me to enjoy real all round health.
In the past, I tried vegan multiple times and quickly failed catastrophically. I'm not sure I ever made it past a day being a vegan. Being a plant chompper is a horribly toxic way of eating.
You went plant based. Veganism is an ethic.

I am 49 years of age for 30 years now I have been on what would be considered a combination of Atkins and keto taught to me by my grandfather. Who was always slim and muscular I put on a few pounds as a teenager.
Even deer are sometimes forced to eat meat during the winter and then it is small rodents that live under the snow.
Even if you eat 'enough' meat, more Taurine is better..
The world of supplementing Aminos is glorious.

Great video Kent, and thank you for spreading the word. You’ve been through a lot, and it is admirable that you are now trying to teach us what helped you. I too was a veg head for 20 years, and had terrible bloating and horrible stomach pains. I gave up and went ketovore, and the pain, bloating and tiredness went away. Things I didn’t even realize got better, skin issues, brain fog, etc. Again, thank you!

I couldn't help myself and cooked and ate it. i would start my day roughly around 7 in the morning either with a portion of ribeye (or other steak of choice, red meat) combined with 2-3 eggs and salt on both to taste.
for most of the days i don't feel hungry, i feel sharp, full of energy, and even my spare energy feels replenished like i have spares on top of my spares..

Kellogg was involved, they established the
7th Day Adventist Church who to this day influence the government, AHA, and many foundations, even the
Dietitians academy was founded by them, they even have their own medical books revolved around
plant based, they also have clinics around the world pushing the same thing.

make people dull, and not feel lust or sexual feelings, and to stop masturbation.

Accurately assessing “species appropriate diet” depends on whether you have accepted waterside ape hypothesis, or whether you believe the nonsensical savannah hypothesis.
I wonder what Kent thinks about the in-between…not carnivores or vegans per se, just people who eat a bit of everything.
Vegan activism is like gambling. You’re playing a game with a minuscule chance of winning. It becomes an addiction and eventually you’ll keep losing again and again until you have nothing left.

All animals are omnivorous. (Every animal eats a variety of organic nutrition sources to varying percentages.)
My GERD basically disappeared, and would’ve if I didn’t have lupus.
