I agree to an extent. Things shouldn't get held up so these guys can have their legacy fights.. It shouldn't hold up the division. Tom has done so much more effort, set fight records at HW, fastest fight times, finds the finish whether it's tko, submission, ko, etc. Tom is showing a evolution to the HW division. Jon Jones did a quick make ya tap choke hold sub.. We have never seen a situation like what we are seeing in the HW division right now at this very moment in time.. I hope they sort it out soon and get things going again, get things moving. Let top talent that wants to be active, get to be active. Don't waste prime years of a fighters life UFC.. Come on..
@@benmcreynolds8581the HW division is lacking at the moment, no exciting ticket selling fights, so they will have to pair Tom with another title fight as the Co main, so they keep saying Jones and Stipe, Stipe is 41 and last time he fought was over 3 years ago and hasn’t been active since 2018, JJ has fought once in the last 4 year. I think they should make a legends division where these money grab fights can be made. I mean it’s getting crazy some people are actually getting excited to see a 58 year old stoned Tyson fight a TH-cam comedian

Yea and tbh the more Tom fights, the more he can win and the harder it will be for Jones to run ultimately. Jones is a very proud dude, it’ll be interesting to see if potential fear of losing trumps the mma community calling him scared if he did retire after fighting Stipe.

The only thing I’ll say about hill vs jones on injury return. Jamal hill hasn’t had the opportunity to acquire millions like Jon. He’s got 6 kids. I personally think it’s too early but I’m not his orthopedic surgeon. Jon jones has had bus loads of money poured into his life. Jamal hill has earned every dollar in his bank account. Big difference. Jamal needs the fight and he’s willing to risk ending his career for the chance at knocking out Alex in the first or second round. To get the belt back without tearing it again will open the doors back up. If he tears it well he gets paid and calls it quits.

What's even more crazy, is, he's the 🐐 for me. But, I have to say in the same breath, he's a scumbag, I've never known a guy, still be able to be champ, after such a lay off. For me, this is just my opinion, Tom aspinall is the champion. Jj is the interim. If that makes sense to u. I hope, Tom vs blaydes gets signed. But at the moment, the heavyweight division is a shambles. Out of the entire roster. Pick 3 people who in their career has caused shambles. Yes he's injured but it sucks cuz we're watching one of the greatest fighters alive waste their career. I totally forgot Jiri hurt his shoulder. There’s not so much as a scar from what I’ve seen. I remember Chael sharing that his camp stated that it was the most gruesome shoulder injury they had seen.
He has a scar. You could see it during fight week before the Poatan fight.

My coaches loved me because I never got hurt and always loved king of the mat. I'd always go for guys that were at least 2-3 weight classes up because I'd kill the guys my size. The coaches would tell me to go easy on them but I never would so I just went with bigger guys so it wasn't a problem.

Don't know why people are mad at Jon for not being an active champion and instantly pivoting to fighting Aspinall. The man has been active and a champion since he was 23, every fight he has had has been a main event championship fight. He moved up to HW and people were on him for wanting to bulk up the right way, then instantly discredit him after dismantling Gane in 30 seconds when it took Francis 5 rounds to edge a decision. JJ is the GOAT

Yes. And it makes sense though, the muscles have atrophied from not being used the same amount / same way, also there could be some lingering nerve issues. That has a major effect on the ability to rebuild muscle the same way

I want to point out a big deal in usmans career after the brutal leg kick he jumped in on short notice to fight khamzat. he did this out of desperation to prove he is the ma. he is active, he still has it. He ain’t going nowhere. This was a breaking point in usmans career. He lost but he still can try to come back but this was a big moment in welter weight history for possibly the end of usmans meteoric rise and fall. But I think mcgregor is going to lead the sport to a new era of many fighters in their 40s fighting. I think mcgregor is going to March is into a new era and have a second wind to his career where he normalizes older men fighting I truly believe he can do that. That’s why Jujitsu has veteran league some people are trailblazers I see it in him

Living in the 90s thinking weight is an advantage look at then statistics for smaller guys fighting bigger guys, look up the statistics for how many people move up weights and win titles so many, then look how many move down a weight class and win not many, then every time the smaller man wins they say big guy was drained from the cut, anybody who even spars knows how much harder it is to fight smaller guys they have the speed cardio and movement advantage all we can do as bigger guys is lay on top of them and try drain them. Imagine nnganou vs domtrious jhonson, nnganou would not wouldn’t land a punch, might mouse would climb him like a spider monkey.
