I like the format of your videos. Discrete topics with useful information in a bit sized time segment. Keep up the good work. I have an EX30 Twin Motor Ultra in Blue coming around June.

What made you choose the twin engine over the single one?

@@FecayDuncanI will be downsizing from a Tesla Model Y Performance (the kids have fled the nest) and I’ve had a couple of Tesla Model 3 Performance cars previously. I’m not a speed demon but I do like a four wheel drive setup. I have test driven the EX30 single motor and it was fine. It just came down to personal preference in the end. I realize that I will take a range hit with my choice.

@@kevinliley1102 cost and range aside, what I’m trying to understand is if you’re buying the twin engine to get four wheel drive or extreme acceleration?

Informative as usual - Thanks. By the time my EX30 comes, I am confident that I will have gathered good information.

I use the VPCS in UK - works well on Ionity and Fastned but not Gridserve and dearer that BP Pulse own card despite the fact that BP own 1/3rd of DCS (Digital Charging Solutions) who proovide the solution for Volvo. On the plus side I really like that I get all charging sessions visible in the App and only get billed once a month instead of per session. It is also great for travelling into EU

I also have this VPCS and it is working really bad for me. I had my Volvo to a service station yesterday to have the software updated. It still doesn't work as advertised. I can only charge using the Volvo app at the moment and I am REALLY hoping the RFID card or tag will improve things. It is being shipped from Germany to Sweden and VPCS support said it will take about two weeks for the RFID to ship. Sounds really slow to me, but okay.

This is good to know for Volvo new customers. In this solution, in some countries, the rates are competitive with Tesla. (For Tesla Superchargers it's typically 0.40..45eur/kWh across all of Europe). I wish it was cheaper but it is step in the right direction. And will also fuel competition.

I have a question about the 12V outlet in the back. I guess that comes from a 12V battery? Do you know how that 12V battery gets charged? Will it stay charged when not using the car? I'm asking because I want to use it for a 12V fridge, and I'm wondering if the 12V battery will go flat if I camp somewhere for a week.

The VPCS in the UK is showing curranty as only available for XC40 from 2021 and C40 from 2022. There is no mention of availability for the EX30 (yet). But, they do seem to have dropped the free fee period for new cars

Helt ärligt tycker jag supporten hos Volvo är helt värdelös. Himla tråkigt att det inte längre finns gratis, väldigt märkligt att man inte offrar den tusenlappen till sina nya kunder.

@@theelectriccarmagazine Volvo Sweden told me today that the campaign for the free 12 months of Large subscription service ended on 29th Feb so normal prices for everyone from now on. They said it was a continuation of the Plugsurfing/Ionity pricing offer but they judged that they could not continue the promo. Ridiculous when you think how bad the pricing on Small pack is and how pretty much all other brands offer at least 12 months of discounts. Lucky for you that you got it!
