The main 3 problems I have with BO6 that can easily be fixed is mangler spam after rd 30, vermin rounds need to be shortened, and most of the guns need a buff
They won’t fix the mangler spam because it encourages players to exfill early so their servers have more room. Mark my words they are not going to adjust the spawn rates
Also the point system, this new point system is so bad, I often find myself going broke from having to buy more ammo because of how spongey these zombies are. If we just go back to the old zombies where every bullet was +10 points and for shotguns, every pellet would actually count, it would help out so much with how spongey they are. Either that or just leave the point system but then either stop spamming manglers or nerf their armor so I consume as much ammo as I do atm.

@@leviturner4565 With proper setup, healthcapped zombies are easily able to be camped and headshot with regular weapons. All the complaints about guns being shit and needing a wonderweapon and or traps easily applies to all old games when the regular guns in bo6 are better than any other zombies. It's called strategy and you most certainly do not need wonder weapons to survive well past 30
Watch the Point system being ass just for Treyarch to reintroduce Double Tap Root Beer in the future and it having a "Get 10 Points when you damage a Zombie" Augment

I'm so glad you talked about the save and quit being both laggy and too short of a timer. That has PISSED ME OFF SO MUCH when trying to write scripts for my videos and i then have to either reload the game or im FORCED TO PLAY because the timer doesnt automatically save and quit. I assume it may happen like that whenever you have a save file so it wont override it but its really damn annoying when you only have 15 mins. It creates a "temporary save file" that you absolutly have to load to play zombies again or you lose the file. It restarts as any save does. It goes the same for disconnections too. You can relax as it won't just cancel your current game or override your existing save file as this temp save will be seperate and its own save. One could think of ur about to die, that ypu can pause and let the timer run out, to get a save file or pause and disconnect from internet and get a temp save and avoid a death and get a 2nd chance. I've never done that but you could if you wanted.
Main problem is solo zombies is always online and any game that has something single player should be available to play offline NO EXCEPTIONS. It’s a real scumbag move to make games always online these days
I’ve skipped many games because of this. There’s no benefit worth it for the consumer for single player to require an always online connection. All it does is give games a shelf life

Dude the afk timer is even worse on console, I pressed the home button to check a message and was barely gone one minute and I got kicked in the middle of a round 36 match, I was soo pissed.
I been playing zombies in 3rd person, I absolutely fell in love with it since I haven’t played zombies since Cold War. Loved it so much I bought the volatile operator skin an hour after playing
Counterpoint to what you said about the perk system, Cold War had a better perk system and augment system. Like why would you want to build craft in zombies? Like for example in bo6 phd has the augments phd slider or that when you fall from a certain height you create explosions and the minor augments being that you slide further or the height requirement for the explosion being reduced. Like being able to only choose 2 out of the 6 options sucks!! Especially when I know that in Cold War all 6 options were available to me without having to choose, and the same goes for the other stuff like ammo mods and field upgrades
I personally like the mangler spam after round 30 because it really demands you to know the mechanics and to actually use them but yeah i have to admit that they need to buff the weapons for those high rounds but not make them as strong as they did in CW. Also, they need another kind of boss and stop abusing manglers and mimics (rumored to be coming next). It really surprised me that Liberty Falls was actually the map I'd enjoy the most. I dont play every day, but when i do, i choose liberty falls because it doesn't demand you to be invested in the map to have fun.

For me personally 2 fixes make the great. Reduce mini bosses. Also, remove salvage and revert to old point system to make everything buyable with points.
Salvage is great, it adds another depth to progression, making everything buyable with points will just ruin everything, because everything is already so expensive in this game.
@it2spooky4me79 never ruined the first 4 games. Only difference is there are more options on what's available to buy. It's still resource management, still have to decide what to get first, weapons, perks, doors upgrades ect. The old point system or even bo4 system would work well.

If everything costed points you’re looking at 200-300k when you’re buying stuff from the crafter, upgrading guns, etc.
" death machine" is a funny complaint about a scorestreak considering it originated as a random drop, i wish they did drop more often instead of chopper gunners
Might be remembering the perk wrong, but I feel like widows wine would work really well with how the movement for the player and the zombies work. Also was a shatter blast guy so would love to see that and mule kick
I like to spare Liberty Falls some of the flak its been getting. Some complain of it looking like an outbreak map when it recently was hit by a zombie outbreak in the story, hence why your team gets sent there. Others complain of the map looking drab which is hard to balance from my first point. I feel they've done a pretty good job with the map overall. My only bit of criticism is the main easter egg being so easy that you can actually use it as a feasable high round strategy to get your free perkaholic, legendary weapons, and other bonus items.
Horrible wow cut slack on one map all these open world ass maps and shit is barley round based zombies like it use to be y’all are all sellouts to a 2 zombie mapp ahhh game

Not only is the "Save and quit feature" not all it's cracked up to be, I would argue it's actively detrimental to the game and could've been implemented without forcing everyone to play every mode online. The idea of being "kicked" for inactivity on solo is baffling. How is it that CW had a better pause feature? It wasn't limited to time, nor to solo. It could be utilized in any private game. Unfortunately, Omni-movement is unnecessary fluff. BO2/3 are only "stiff" or "rigid" to the extreme casual. I'll agree that the maps and level of content on offer are good in this game so far. BUT there are significant issues with the Warzone inspired Zombies formula that have persisted since CW. Rarity needs to go. Packing more than once as well. Double Tap needs a return. Boss Spam and ridiculous super sprinters aren't necessary. Micros are ignorant from a $70+ video game. The DEI story based on political agenda, is egregious. The list literally goes on.

Imma be real here, I do not think Bo6 zombies is that bad, I just personally find it a little underwhelming compared to other titles. It might just be me, but I feel like after playing each map a few times it feels like there’s no point in playing it again because trying to get high rounds is frustrating. Again, I’m not saying it’s bad, I like a lot about it, but it feels lacking in comparison to some other titles. I think bo6 has a lot of good qualities, but I feel like tons of problems persist and the zombies feels alright, but not great. I played each map a few times and it feels like I played it indefinitely is all I’m saying.
I think a good zombie variant would be something I’d call mimic, it scours the map to see which team mate is by himself and then takes the form (including gamer tag overhead) of a different team mate who not near you and uses that as its opportunity to get close and fuck yo ass up, means you have to communicate to survive
Personally this is the best zombies we've gotten since BO4 and possibly BO3 depending on how the follow-up maps pan out. Compared to Die Maschine and MWZ - there is a lot more to like about Terminus and even Liberty Falls, both maps play relatively well but Terminus is the standout map so far. My biggest gripe is how ridiculous the number of manglers and other boss zombies we get and how inconsistent damage can feel though I'm playing with zombie healthbars, score, medals, and other screen filling settings off so sometimes I feel like I'm pouring way too many bullets into an Abomination before it actually dies. Other than swapping the mangler spawn rates with that of the enemies that spawn during the max ammo rounds and making my triple packed, golden Critskrig more powerful then a squirt gun on the sun so relying on mutant injectors isn't my only hope - I like this game

Liked the video, appreciated the objective stance instead of being sycophantic about it. I just disagree with the wrap-up. BO3 is about to be 10 years old, and i think it's time to put that system in the past. I think this game will actually have MORE appreciation over time because a lot of people will become more accepting that BO3 was great but this new system can be great too. I'm glad it's more cold war. It's refreshing + there's like infinite BO3 maps with modded maps right now. This is is the most i've enjoyed cod since bo3 honestly. 8 may move up to a 9 through the DLC season for me.
You can patch it later but I am having a bad time now and disliking the game. It's hard to convince me to play the game again. I am even more likely to hate the game and the company if they try to push unpolished games to patch it later as they monitize every bit of it for profit.
Excellent review! You pretty much covered everything, from the good and the bad. I can tell you put a lot of effort into making it. *(TL;DR at the bottom)* A couple of things I'd like to add about the game being always online and that dreaded pause timer is that for starters, the game being always online has to be one of the most detrimental decisions they could have possibly made for this game. The thing is, these online servers won't be up and running forever. There will eventually come a day where they are shut down, resulting in the game becoming almost entirely unplayable. Unless they add a patch to the game that adds fully functional offline play, then the game will become nothing but a paper weight. I even bought the game physically on PS5, as I like owning my games, only to find out when it arrived, saying the game required an internet connection to play, making the physical purchase completely pointless. Not to mention, and this is an issue that's quite niche, but the PS5 version of the game doesn't have a Platinum Trophy on PS5. Instead, they treat the game as DLC to MW2, meaning BO6 is technically considered to be DLC in the eyes of Activision. This is likely because they've decided to put all these new Call of Duty games in a single always online launcher for some stupid reason. What makes this even weirder is that the PS4 version of BO6 has a Platinum, with it's own dedicated trophy list. But because I bought the PS5 version, I'm essentially trophy hunting a games DLC and once I complete it, I get nothing for it. I understand that regular players or people who play on other platforms don't care, but for us Trophy Hunters it's incredibly frustrating and ruins our completion percentage, if we didn't play MW2 and MW3, like myself. Meaning even after I finish getting all the trophies, the completion percentage of the trophy list won't be 100%, it'll be like 35% or something. Anyways now that rant is over, I'll give my thoughts on the pause timer. Firstly, there's no conceivable reason I can think of for there to even be a pause timer in the first place, but the main issue I have with it is let's say you're gone for 14 minutes. You go back to playing for let's say an hour and you pause the game because you need to go do something, only to discover you have 1 minute left on that timer. To put it bluntly, the timer doesn't reset after you unpause the game. Now if it's true for the pause timer's existence is because it could cause instability on the game's servers, then I guess I understand. Just more of the reason the game shouldn't be always online and Black Ops 3 and Black Ops 4 didn't have a pause timer and that didn't cause any issues, so what do I know, right? Not sure about Cold War as I didn't play that game. But giving the benefit of the doubt in that it causes instability, then at least have the timer reset after like 5 - 10 minutes of having the game unpaused! It's just such a bizarre decision on Treyarch's part. *TL;DR (Summarized by AI):* The always online requirement for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is detrimental because it'll make the game unplayable when servers are shut down, and the PS5 version doesn't have a Platinum Trophy like the PS4 version does. The pause timer is also a problem as it doesn't reset after unpause, causing frustration for players who need to stop mid-game. Anyways, sorry for the essay. Great video and keep up the good work!
I was moving and trying to press every button and i still got kicked out big f at treyarch HQ and other time i pause the game to look into game settings and i got forced to save and quit but that's still nice but i wanted to keep playing brilliant job at treyarch HQ 😂
The gambling from bo3 was great. Made playing it a lot more fun since I never had to spend money for gobble-gums. It’s annoying asf not having my dr Monty’s gambling addiction.

I don’t understand why the pause timer A: Isn’t much longer and B: Resets everytime you unpause. It makes absolutely no sense to me why it retains the countdown for an entire match when I could be an hour and a half into the game and I need to go pee but I can’t cause I used up 14 minutes and 59 seconds of the pause timer. It makes absolutely no sense to me
One: meleeachiato with Knife is god tier, regardless of your ultimate (Napalm burst + melee macchiato = 1-3 knife manglers to death). Two: (in my opinion) wall buys/box buys have sway, especially early game. I have purchased wall weapons that turned blue/purple instead of what I'm using, entirely to avoid the salvage cost. Really hope they roll back the bug rounds & Mangler spam. Would be nice to not have the Armored zombies armor health scale in addition to their regular health as well.
Played 50 times and still have yet to get 1 ray gun or any good gun only get fucking blue and green snipers ever gamessss soooo gooood tho imma say it has 2 maps bout to be 3 woooowww soo good best cod buddy !!!
Personally I stay away from terminus I did the ee early and now I’m done… the only good thing I can say about it is I like the boss fight… I just can’t get over how the pac room/ mid boss fight room looks like a complete copy of the the die mischienes underground bunker…

Hot take the terminus EE is longer than it is hard only part is hard and thats the defuse part the boss fight is it's own thing cuZ that's hard too but as a solo runner the defuse makes you think. Also the only three things that makes bo6 harder is price to point ratio , damage to health ratio, and the elite zombie spam(which I think is needed cuz the mangler and abomination feel weaker than their CW counter part). LF EE is just short in fact shorter than CW EEs
I think it’s relatively good or bad depending on what older titles you’ve played were. I’ve played all except bo4 and vanguard thankfully and personally I enjoyed how it is since I enjoyed Cold War. My buddies haven’t played since bo3 mods and can’t get into it because it’s not cut and dry zombies, which is funny since he plays modded zombies. Anyway great overall imo excited for the next map this December
The only reason a player being paused for three days would affect the servers is if the game is perpetually online. That was such a brain-dead decision.

Honestly I don't think the issue is that it's cw but with bo3 mechanics or whatever, I think cold war was a very promising basis just executed poorly, and I think bo6 shows it can be executed well I think the issue is 2 things, 1. The decs weird priorities, and 2.excessive enemy spam Enemy spam in this game gets rediculous, yet devs seem to refuse to change it? And every time the devs update tge game they seem to continuously add more issues and bugs which is annoying If both of these are fixed I can easily see bo6 being one of the best games on the series
I disagree with a lot of what you consider bad - especially your final thoughts. To me, the insanely enjoyable movement and mechanics of this game means it’ll be played for decades. And the maps are great too, unlike Cold War, which is perfect. Overall, I’m much more enthusiastic on this game than you are. However, I respect your opinion
The game definitely is not going to last “decades”. The game relies heavily on camo grinding and other things like that to make the game fun. There’s not really much replay ability beyond that. Each map after I do an Easter egg I feel that I have experienced the whole map and there’s not much else to do. The gameplay itself in this game is the same stale Cold War experience. There’s not much beyond progression that makes you want to replay.

Not everyone cares about camos and the "fun" of zombies comes from surviving as long as possible and trying different methods. This is like saying if you're not playing the most effective method it means you're playing the game wrong. Camos are an addition for people who thoroughly enjoy slaying zombies and not the focus of the mode. Retroactively apply this argument of camos to every other zombies and your point becomes moot. It's clear your hatred and resistance to change clouds your judgement for a mode that at its core serves the same purpose as it did when it opened with Nacht.
I disagree enormously on not using the slide with omni, dodging the manglers and stuff is great with the sideslides :D I think the afk bugs are annoying but 4-5 min is ok IF ONLY we could join back with our stuff !!! Have also been dc'd for no reason but their server issues and I just think that if I reconnect I should have my stuff bro

I like to spare Liberty Falls some of the flak its been getting. Some complain of it looking like an outbreak map when it recently was hit by a zombie outbreak in the story, hence why your team gets sent there. Others complain of the map looking drab which is hard to balance from my first point. I feel they've done a pretty good job with the map overall. My only bit of criticism is the main easter egg being so easy that you can actually use it as a feasable high round strategy to get your free perkaholic, legendary weapons, and other bonus items.

Not only is the "Save and quit feature" not all it's cracked up to be, I would argue it's actively detrimental to the game and could've been implemented without forcing everyone to play every mode online. The idea of being "kicked" for inactivity on solo is baffling. How is it that CW had a better pause feature? It wasn't limited to time, nor to solo. It could be utilized in any private game. Unfortunately, Omni-movement is unnecessary fluff. BO2/3 are only "stiff" or "rigid" to the extreme casual. I'll agree that the maps and level of content on offer are good in this game so far. BUT there are significant issues with the Warzone inspired Zombies formula that have persisted since CW. Rarity needs to go. Packing more than once as well. Double Tap needs a return. Boss Spam and ridiculous super sprinters aren't necessary. Micros are ignorant from a $70+ video game. The DEI story based on political agenda, is egregious. The list literally goes on.

Yep same here but once I got nebula on my first gun I slowed down the grind as I have been playing a bit of multiplayer and war zone

Imma be real here, I do not think Bo6 zombies is that bad, I just personally find it a little underwhelming compared to other titles. It might just be me, but I feel like after playing each map a few times it feels like there’s no point in playing it again because trying to get high rounds is frustrating. Again, I’m not saying it’s bad, I like a lot about it, but it feels lacking in comparison to some other titles. I think bo6 has a lot of good qualities, but I feel like tons of problems persist and the zombies feels alright, but not great. I played each map a few times and it feels like I played it indefinitely is all I’m saying.

I think a good zombie variant would be something I’d call mimic, it scours the map to see which team mate is by himself and then takes the form (including gamer tag overhead) of a different team mate who not near you and uses that as its opportunity to get close and fuck yo ass up, means you have to communicate to survive
Personally this is the best zombies we've gotten since BO4 and possibly BO3 depending on how the follow-up maps pan out. Compared to Die Maschine and MWZ - there is a lot more to like about Terminus and even Liberty Falls, both maps play relatively well but Terminus is the standout map so far.
My biggest gripe is how ridiculous the number of manglers and other boss zombies we get and how inconsistent damage can feel though I'm playing with zombie healthbars, score, medals, and other screen filling settings off so sometimes I feel like I'm pouring way too many bullets into an Abomination before it actually dies. Other than swapping the mangler spawn rates with that of the enemies that spawn during the max ammo rounds and making my triple packed, golden Critskrig more powerful then a squirt gun on the sun so relying on mutant injectors isn't my only hope - I like this game

Liked the video, appreciated the objective stance instead of being sycophantic about it. I just disagree with the wrap-up. BO3 is about to be 10 years old, and i think it's time to put that system in the past. I think this game will actually have MORE appreciation over time because a lot of people will become more accepting that BO3 was great but this new system can be great too. I'm glad it's more cold war. It's refreshing + there's like infinite BO3 maps with modded maps right now. This is is the most i've enjoyed cod since bo3 honestly. 8 may move up to a 9 through the DLC season for me.
You can patch it later but I am having a bad time now and disliking the game. It's hard to convince me to play the game again. I am even more likely to hate the game and the company if they try to push unpolished games to patch it later as they monitize every bit of it for profit.

A couple of things I'd like to add about the game being always online and that dreaded pause timer is that for starters, the game being always online has to be one of the most detrimental decisions they could have possibly made for this game. The thing is, these online servers won't be up and running forever. There will eventually come a day where they are shut down, resulting in the game becoming almost entirely unplayable. Unless they add a patch to the game that adds fully functional offline play, then the game will become nothing but a paper weight. I even bought the game physically on PS5, as I like owning my games, only to find out when it arrived, saying the game required an internet connection to play, making the physical purchase completely pointless. Not to mention, and this is an issue that's quite niche, but the PS5 version of the game doesn't have a Platinum Trophy on PS5. Instead, they treat the game as DLC to MW2, meaning BO6 is technically considered to be DLC in the eyes of Activision. This is likely because they've decided to put all these new Call of Duty games in a single always online launcher for some stupid reason. What makes this even weirder is that the PS4 version of BO6 has a Platinum, with it's own dedicated trophy list. But because I bought the PS5 version, I'm essentially trophy hunting a games DLC and once I complete it, I get nothing for it. I understand that regular players or people who play on other platforms don't care, but for us Trophy Hunters it's incredibly frustrating and ruins our completion percentage, if we didn't play MW2 and MW3, like myself. Meaning even after I finish getting all the trophies, the completion percentage of the trophy list won't be 100%, it'll be like 35% or something.
Anyways now that rant is over, I'll give my thoughts on the pause timer. Firstly, there's no conceivable reason I can think of for there to even be a pause timer in the first place, but the main issue I have with it is let's say you're gone for 14 minutes. You go back to playing for let's say an hour and you pause the game because you need to go do something, only to discover you have 1 minute left on that timer. To put it bluntly, the timer doesn't reset after you unpause the game. Now if it's true for the pause timer's existence is because it could cause instability on the game's servers, then I guess I understand. Just more of the reason the game shouldn't be always online and Black Ops 3 and Black Ops 4 didn't have a pause timer and that didn't cause any issues, so what do I know, right? Not sure about Cold War as I didn't play that game. But giving the benefit of the doubt in that it causes instability, then at least have the timer reset after like 5 - 10 minutes of having the game unpaused! It's just such a bizarre decision on Treyarch's part.

I don’t understand why the pause timer A: Isn’t much longer and B: Resets everytime you unpause. It makes absolutely no sense to me why it retains the countdown for an entire match when I could be an hour and a half into the game and I need to go pee but I can’t cause I used up 14 minutes and 59 seconds of the pause timer. One: meleeachiato with Knife is god tier, regardless of your ultimate (Napalm burst + melee macchiato = 1-3 knife manglers to death).
Two: (in my opinion) wall buys/box buys have sway, especially early game. I have purchased wall weapons that turned blue/purple instead of what I'm using, entirely to avoid the salvage cost.
Really hope they roll back the bug rounds & Mangler spam. Would be nice to not have the Armored zombies armor health scale in addition to their regular health as well.

Hot take the terminus EE is longer than it is hard only part is hard and thats the defuse part the boss fight is it's own thing cuZ that's hard too but as a solo runner the defuse makes you think. Also the only three things that makes bo6 harder is price to point ratio , damage to health ratio, and the elite zombie spam(which I think is needed cuz the mangler and abomination feel weaker than their CW counter part). LF EE is just short in fact shorter than CW EEs
I think it’s relatively good or bad depending on what older titles you’ve played were. I’ve played all except bo4 and vanguard thankfully and personally I enjoyed how it is since I enjoyed Cold War. My buddies haven’t played since bo3 mods and can’t get into it because it’s not cut and dry zombies, which is funny since he plays modded zombies. Anyway great overall imo excited for the next map this December

Not damage heavy? The beam smasher gives a damage buff to hypnotised enemies. It's bad ammo wise but it does shread.

The game definitely is not going to last “decades”. The game relies heavily on camo grinding and other things like that to make the game fun. There’s not really much replay ability beyond that. Each map after I do an Easter egg I feel that I have experienced the whole map and there’s not much else to do. The gameplay itself in this game is the same stale Cold War experience. There’s not much beyond progression that makes you want to replay.

Not everyone cares about camos and the "fun" of zombies comes from surviving as long as possible and trying different methods. This is like saying if you're not playing the most effective method it means you're playing the game wrong. Camos are an addition for people who thoroughly enjoy slaying zombies and not the focus of the mode. Retroactively apply this argument of camos to every other zombies and your point becomes moot. It's clear your hatred and resistance to change clouds your judgement for a mode that at its core serves the same purpose as it did when it opened with Nacht.
