I have the old protone and the new protone icon. The new protone icon is better constructed indeed, but there is one aspect that was not mentioned in the video and that is the fact that on the new protone icon the rear octafit + system can't be moved inside (changed horizontal). On the old version this was possible. This is a slight issue because long arms of glasses can still hit it.
You told me exactly what I needed to know. I have a 58cm head and I've always felt my current Protone (size L) seemed just a hair too big, but I was worried about the fit of the M being right on the edge since I'm bald and almost always wear a cap. Annoying that Kask doesn't make their sizes overlap (and in fact has a 1cm gap between sizes). But your review gives me confidence to go ahead and try a medium.
Any chance you've had issues with the tightening ratchet system breaks on you? I've read more than a few reviews where people say one day all of a sudden the helmets doesn't tighten. I really like how it looks and want to get one but not if it has that issue.
Awesome review, is there an issue with Radar EV glasses which have longer arms then a sutro ? will radar ev s fit in vents nicely also ? thanks in advance
In a single week I have bought two of these from Wiggle. Returned one last Wednesday because the adjustment dial fell apart within seconds of trying it on. And today exactly a week later I received another one in the post, and the exact same thing happened. For a helmet of £245 this is terrible. I've also seen another person reviewing it with the same problem...
That sounds pretty savage... Wish i'd given mine more of a test for the video as I had no idea this was a problem. Shouldn't be a problem on a helmet at that price point.
Hi @Ciaran. An update on the issue with your Protone Icon. The manufacturer has identified a faulty batch, and we will be happy to replace all of those found faulty. I'm sure you have already contacted our customer service team but to assure you this shouldn't be a problem with any future Protone helmets (if you wanted to try another one).
I had bought a different helmet on Amazon at the beginning of this summer for my big headed daughter to wear while bicycling and scootering. th-cam.com/users/postUgkx0ipcYkXV-2YCp_cBN3HLfzR_OoD0HQYx Well it was WAY too big and not adjustable at all. Previously we had really expensive but adjustable helmets from the local bike store and I didn't really want to pay $50 again for another helmet. I searched and was fairly sure from the reviews that this helmet was what I was looking for- and it was! The pads inside are comfortable, the rim in front provides a bit of shade, but most of all for me there is the dial adjuster in the back which allows for a really secure fit on my daughters head. It seems like it will fit for a few years too which makes me even happier! She loves the pattern and I might end up buying another one for her twin sister (who has a much smaller head!)I definitely recommend this helmet. My daughter is 5 but has a big head. Her twin sister could fit in this one as well but it's a bit big.
Adjustment measurement is no good , even the one at the show today , at ally pally was broken , he came out with some old rubbish , saying it’s a prototype

Perfection improved! Just love it!
She’s a beaut!

Hey Kent, Ia have the same doubt, i´m a 58 head and??? Have you ever tried de medium size?? Tks for your help.
@@danielmazzierovitti3115 I went with the medium. It fits, but without much extra room for a cap underneath. Next time I’ll go with a large again.
for real got me hungry at the beginning lol

Thanks Roman! I have no Radar EV's to try it with... i'd have thought they would be ok but couldn't be 100% on that!
Plush then? Great. Thank you
It's the same with my helmet, it's hard for me to properly adjust and fit my head, any tips on how to fix my adjustment?

If many pros wear it and more people lose than they win, doesn’t that make it the Losers helmet?
guess it just makes it a helmet

Ahhh really what’s wrong with it? Keen to know what’s wrong with it so I can give it a real test 💪
