The way he literally mixes random lines from Disney’s songs is amazing. Everything just fits, and if you pay attention, you can hear the instrumental part of the original musics in the background, it’s so simple and yet so complex.
Its unfortunate that as the animators get better at drawing nothing will ever get close to that fantastically magical simplistic style of the old features. As we advance our style and skill we lose some of our charm. I wonder what charm we will gain and lose next.

Zzarillo I like to do both when drawing. My main characters are the ones who show up the most and the ones I have to draw most frequently. So they designs are very simple. But with side character who show up very little in the story, I like to unleash my imagination and make there designs complex because I don't have to draw them as much

"Good Disney" is the Disney we have now. Yucky stuff like Peter Pan, or Sleeping Beauty should be forgotten, given how disgustingly racist and boring they were respectively. Pretty much any modern Disney movie besides the snorefest that was Raya is better than any of these. Except Cinderella, Cinderella is based.

Hey Pogo, I heard this at Epcot the other day while an artist was painting for the International Festival of the Arts. I hope you gave permission for them to play it. Knew it as soon as my husband and I walked up, I was like “hey! They’re playing Pogo!”
replying a year late but..IIRC Pogo first made his stuff without permission from Disney. When they found out about it, they eventually made a deal with Pogo getting to use whatever Disney samples he wanted and Disney able to use his stuff.

We had every single Disney movie on vhs and my mom started collecting dvds once those started to come out. We still in our adult lives go to all the disney movies that come out in theaters. And these that he makes are genius, I can't get enough.

I think the reason so many keep reporting experiencing feelings of nostalgia even though they never saw these old classics is because this is Pogo doin his thing, one of his fortes to me, is that he extracts the essence out of certain feelings/experiences, and portrays it in its universal purity in musical form, so that almost any people that are alive connect to some aspect of it, even though their past paths through life may differ..

Whenever I listen to this, I feel like my childhood is wrapping me up in a nice, warm, comfortable hug and telling me to rest. If that makes any sense. Basically this song makes me feel good.

replying a year late but..IIRC Pogo first made his stuff without permission from Disney. When they found out about it, they eventually made a deal with Pogo getting to use whatever Disney samples he wanted and Disney able to use his stuff.

I didn't even grow up watching these films, yet this song feels unreasonably nostalgic to me.
I can only imagine how the people who did love these films as children feel.
Same here, I've only seen Aladdin. Yet it somehow brings a wave of nostalgia out of nowhere. I now plan to go and watch every Disney film ever used in one of Pogo's songs.

I think the reason so many keep reporting experiencing feelings of nostalgia even though they never saw these old classics is because this is Pogo doin his thing, one of his fortes to me, is that he extracts the essence out of certain feelings/experiences, and portrays it in its universal purity in musical form, so that almost any people that are alive connect to some aspect of it, even though their past paths through life may differ..
