The periodic table organizes elements into groups and periods based on their chemical and physical properties. Elements in the same group share similar characteristics, like reactivity. The table is divided into metals, nonmetals, and metalloids, each with distinct properties. Key groups include alkali metals, alkaline earth metals, halogens, and noble gases.

people can be bad minded
Understanding & Common Sense is sadly not so common nowadays. Instead its replaced with fear & ignorance on average.
Some people just find these super confusing

bro you’re a god darn Saint. Thank you for taking the time to do this.
I learned a lot in a few minutes . your method is better than the chemistry teacher.

Hi
Same here.
This is helping me a lot in our online chemistry class. You're awesome!

meee- he sounds so young lmaooo
@@_buany8701 I don’t think that’s Sal, if you watch some of his videos back in 2010 or something, he still sounds the same.

I was gonna make a sodium joke, but Na.
Ok I have a different one:
2 scientists walk into a bar. One says, "I want H20." The other says, "I want H20 too".
The second one dies.
Ok, here's a potassium joke. What, you don't want to hear it? K.
Periodic table puns are funny, AmIrITe?
I didn't get it.
He asked for “H20 too”. It sounds like H2O2 which is hydrogen peroxide and I think can kill you
ha...get it now
lolol this comment is so perfect
It's funny
Thank you so much! This video is awesome and straight forward.
It's an oldie but a goodie
thank you khan academy
I’m not here for school .. just trying to see if this will get me some sleep
There are four blocks namely S, P, D and F in the Modern Periodic table. Element are classified into four Blocks on the basis of valence shell electronic configuration. Those elements which have their outer most sub shell is S, constitute to form S block. Similarly p, d and f blocks are formed on the basis of outermost valence subshells p, d and f.
Yeah this is also one of the basis on which periodic table is classified
Excellent
Saw this as the first video and subscribed.
I’ve learned more from this video than I have all year in chem
Thanks for making me understand elements better.
This really really helps me i got a 50/50 in exam thx alot i could not done it with you making this vid imma sub keep up the good work

I am now learning and memorizing something I will forget after a few couple of days :)
Hi
Fir real!! I don't see why we would ever need this after we graduate or anywhere out of school. These stuff are useless to learn.

Thankyou. It helped me make a concept about periodic table.
Thanks for helping me Ace gen chem. Also, your videos on some calculus subjects were incredibly helpful. Khan is the OG.

Are their any unclassified/secret, non recognized or not published elements in the periodic table ?
Yes, im in 6th grade and we are learrning this. Very helpful!

I remember dumbass 3rd grade me was trying to learn this to be cool
1. Locate the metals, non-metals and noble gases in the Periodic Table of Elements. Color the area with metallic elements blue; the non-metallic elements yellow and the noble gases green.
Im a little bit confused of groups and family in periodic table . Are they d' same? Why other element in this video doesn't have family? Like the group 3-12.
thanks for the video it was really good I used it for my homework
Where are my 2020 online students at?

what about the bottom part of the periodic table the elongated one you missed that section.
if you watched the video you'd know that he said he didn't have enough room to cover it.

In my chemistry lecture, we actually discussed how hydrogen is indeed a metal. There is a reason it is placed where it is on the periodic table. :)
