The dark woods being a life of pain and misery of being enslaved. And the light at the end of the path… Arnheid got dealt the wrong hand in life, but hopefully she’ll find rest reuniting with her loved ones in the next life. Her time is nearing… 😭

And the buck and Wolf I imagined them as "the one that strugles to survive predators altough it can eat easily grass" and "the one that must Hunt to stay alive, but at any time it can get mauled by others like him în the run for food". I just realised as I was typing that, how well it suits Thorfinn as the Wolf. He used to be în a pack, but even în a pack wolves get ripped by others if Times are wrong for them(representing how Askeladd's band died) and that today he is a lone Wolf (the only one who has to carry the burden of so many lives taken).

Like Askeladd being Thorfinn's, "Is this right? How do I get out?" or this cart being Arnheid's, "Is it time to go? Is it not worth finding good in this life?" in a way. It's a nice idea tbh, visualising someone's inner demons and thoughts, moral dilemmas via an influential person, or regrets.
There’s one I absolutely love of a random viking warrior as he lies dying reflecting upon his life and the panic he feels as life slips away, because he realizes there is no Valhalla, just a black void and in his mind he is screaming to the others to stop fighting because in the end it’s all meaningless death.
Arnheid is the perfect representation of how slavery is wrong, of how it only brings pain, it is the reason why it is so present in the story, I know that for many it can be boring and repetitive, but it is clear that the author wanted emphasize this message.

This poor woman is the definition of "The wrong place at the wrong time". Always being caught in the crossfire of other people's choices. And the one time she's able to make her own choice, she gets talked out of it and makes the wrong choice. The old man was wrong. She should've waited for the storm to pass instead of standing in the middle of it.
This episode was so well made it's not even funny. The hype it brought, for the coming Episodes just goes to show how great the staff really is, and that they truly care about the show. Simply, well done and can't wait.

AOT also had the theme of coming out of the dark woods. Sasha father comments about how kids like gabi should come out of the dark woods which represents the darkness of the world.
