Yes, I get that alot lol. Most of the green plant is left behind as they just cut the very top where the rice is located. Some green material still goes through the combine though. Thanks for watching!
Great video. Respect sent to all farmers. Farmers wait all year for this moment. Beautiful machines .... from Fort Worth, Texas. Come visit us in Texas
Those style duals are especially rare in Louisiana, particularly the south , you don’t even see them in northern Louisiana where row crops dominate. Much better flotation with tracks or floater. Nice to see not much black on combine so diseases not much of a problem. Great video!
This is the first farm of rice i watch can you tell me which variety do they plant most and what its average pera acre Drone footage with a daul harvester give a cheerful blissful breathtaking view which is too much attractive thank you sooo much
Awesome video Buddy with quality Farm Equipment!!👍👍 Would like to see the pumps they use to flood the rice fields after harvest. Wounding if it’s the same style pumps farmers use here in spring to fill there massive water retentions pounds to irrigate there potato fields in the summer?
@@BRPFan Since I'm traveling 3 hours or more usually, I don't have much time for anything but filming the equipment I'm out there to see. Wish I did live closer to these places so I could see planting, its just a lot of driving. You know I have to get home to Paco and Daisy lol
Are the drivers free-handing the machines? Looked like it from the tracks I noticed. I'd want Auto with that width, especially. The are taking some large swipes!
Some farmers still think they get just as much flotation with duals as you would with wide floater type tires which is not true. Duals on the drives is what came out first before floaters or tracks and it’s hard to change some Farmers minds. Thats how it is up here in Southern Manitoba, Canada 🇨🇦 The duals on combines were never meant for row crops, just flotation.
Hallo ! Some rice farmers in Louisiana roll or mow the rice field after harvest and let a ratoon crop grow for an October harvest. This farm will flood the fields to raise crawfish and not do a ratoon crop of rice.
I know they are going to delete these comments, but think about it for a moment. The machine is worth a million dollars, or will you have to pay for each accessory separately? Even for the back part, you will have to pay extra. The machine will have the same travel times as any other machine and the same execution time as any other machine. Why don't I buy two machines at that price and double my production capacity? It's a bad business to buy a machine by where you measure it, because even if you buy it and want to sell it, it's harder to sell a machine of that price. However, if I have two machines, it's easier to sell them because nobody wants to keep a machine forever.
Retired E C Illinois corn and soybean farmer here is just blow away to see these combines take in so much green material without getting slugged.

I love how peaceful and serene your farm looks
Wow, big harvest machinery 🚜

Thanks! Yes, this is the only farm I've visited that I can recall have these types of grain carts.
I worked on a rice farm in Texas back in the 70's. We never cut rice that green.

I live smack dab in the middle of Acadia Parish in the rice capitol about a mile from Supreme rice and they are BUSY! Great to see it!
Follow your heart, always! ❤️

very good thanks
Great video as always 👌 I wonder why this farm uses row crop duals on his grain carts instead of floaters or tracks.
Thanks, I meant to ask him about those grain carts but it slipped my mind.

@@AerialAg I also noticed the single tires on the grain carts, lots of compaction there!!
@@BRPFan There's actually two tires on each side, they're just offset
@@AerialAg Oh is that right? It looked like just a single tire but I clearly didn’t look close enough. Thanks for pointing that out!
What are they planting after the rice ? Greets from Germany

My first time seeing a rice harvest I did not know it was that dusty.
Are they running 50 ft heads on the X9?
I believe these are 45'
fast and efficient
👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍🧡
Do rice harvesters get "white lung" like coal miners get "black lung?" Dusty but necessary and much appreciated work.
Interesting to know moisture content?
Usually rice is cut between 18% and 22%
