@@diyforknuckleheads No worries, one quick question.. How did you decide on the length of the decking? I see you've staggered them in a pattern. If I'm going 4.2m long would you do one run with 2 x 2.1m pieces and one with a 1.05m, 2.1m and 1.05m and then repeat that out?

    Beautiful work.
Ill be doing something like this in approx 12 months so now doing my home work in prep
for when i can begin my DIY project deck.
Thinking about enclosing my deck so i can use it all year round as i live in a colder part of
NSW that only really sees sunlight for about 4 months of the year.
I gave your vid a thumbs up

This video is exactly what I'm planning to do for almost the same concrete patio with minimal clearance, etc. Was dreading the tapered joists thinking that was the only way to do it right and seeing you do the same gives me confirmation that's the right way to go about it. What are the spacers that you used between the concrete and the floor joists? Was thinking I would have to make something, but if those are commercially available, that would be great!

Great timing on this video. This exact job is on my todo list... all I have to finish first is the garage ceiling / attic space, install the new kitchen, lay 120m of flooring, replace all the skirting boards, build some garden beds... I think that's all, unless wifey finds / reprioritises my workflow 🤣
