- This video shows you EXACTLY what I would do to become a great logo designer, right now, today. I walk you through the steps I would take starting out as a logo designer, from actually knowing what a logo should be like, forming a logo design process, how to create briefs, forming social media for a logo design business and so on. This is a logo design tutorial, but not a tutorial that directly shows you how to design a logo, there are many of these tutorial videos on my channel and TH-cam at large. This video is slightly different.
One of the most important parts of being a competent logo designer is having a good solid logo design process as a foundation. I talk about this process in a way I haven't before, and that goes into how you need to think about your very own process, in accordance to your specific situation. Logo designers often just jump into Adobe Illustrator or something similar, and then start designing. This is below satisfactory and it isn't how professional logo designers operate.
We also take a look at logo design briefs and how to make those, and many other aspects of being a good logo designer. But if you found todays video tutorial on logo design enjoyable or useful, let me know in the comments section and drop a like on your way out. Subscribe to stay updated to all of my uploads and until next time, design your future today, peace ✌️

"A logo is your identification, and it's not a communication, it should be simple, memorable and distinct" - Sagi Haviv
exactly
Around one year ago you in one of your videos advised to read some marketing books, that was the best advice I heard that year. Thanks!
wow it's great to see people actually take on some of the info I give out, and then apply it. Kudos to you!
Thank you so much! I learned a lot from your video 😊
This is very informative satori brother, I'm a self taught graphic design student learn from different online courses just saw your video and i must say it's very informative
Great to hear thanks !
Thank you!
May I know which font you used in the video? It's looks really cool!
I’m curious about your thoughts on interactive advertising and the need for designers to pick up more skills like basic animation and video editing.
Very helpful video ..Thank you
Happy to hear, thanks
Ammmazing 🔥
Ty :)
HI what software do you use for your video animations? the infographics?
I'm here but in third place to comment. LOGO design tips, here we go!
💪💪💪
Sir please create a video on Brand Guidelines
I would like some recomendations of marketing books, I ahve read some, but sometimes they became very techical
'This is Marketing' by Seth Godin is a good one.
I just want to come up with names for companies and not do all the technical work like designing as I’m not technically trained. Do jobs or business exist that just do that?
It's becoming more and more difficult to be 'unique' and memorable nowadays, I understand the need to refresh or simplify for today's varying range of media, but at the same miss some of the earlier iconic versions such as the red and blue character with the bugle for BT, Burger King, Pizza Hut and NASA wordmarks! 😭
Not necessarily. The iconic logos you see today by themselves are not that interesting when you break them down:
- Great, your company is called "Apple" and your logo is an apple.
- Wow, 3 lines Adidas, so unique.
I'm being facetious, but I hope that helps you understand. The value of a logo doesn't lie in how unique it is, it lies on how you use the logo. Look at Nike, they paid ~$50 for their logo, their company is worth $172 billion now. The logo is not necessarily unique, but it's strategically used really well in shoes, clothing and marketing collaterals.
Next time you design a logo, don't think about how it fits today's standards. Think about how it'll be used in social media, products, commercials (basically make a case study) That's what gives it value and makes it memorable, not how "unique" it is.

How do you edit your videos
It surely might have taken lot of time
I work with a great editor, and then add edits myself after the fact
@@SatoriGraphics great 🤞🏻

I am a logo designer for almost a decade, but there is no stability as a professional designer, no client's, money is very critical to make as a logo designer. Please if someone can help with some insights then it will be of immense help. I am looking to quit the field but on the contrary I have no idea what should I do next. I am perplexed.
Marketing is a huge role these days.
How big are your social media accounts?
Do you have an email list?
Do you have a blog about logo design?
What is your unique selling point?
How do you offer value to a client?
Do you have testimonials on your portfolio website?
These are the sort of things you need to be asking yourself. If you don't want to concern yourself with most of these, then you better build an awesome portfolio, and start applying to in-house design positions where you work as part of a team or agency.
@@SatoriGraphics I always hear advice to build an awesome portfolio, I hava a portfolio how do I know whether it is awesome or not, I did post my work on insta, behance, dribble as well. This year since Jan I tried to apply for jobs as well but non of my application been responded by recruiters?
@@SatoriGraphics And thanks for the prompt feedback. Really appreciate 👍
