FULL Graphic Design Course - Using Principles On Actual Designs!

- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 15 พ.ค. 2024
- In this full graphic design course, we take a deep dive into 4 graphic design principles, and learn how to use them on actual designs, in real life situations. There's no point learning about the design principle of contrast in the sense of 2 contrasting coloured squares. This has little to no use for graphic designers, and so this course aims to show you how the principles are used in real design situations. Essentially, it's a very practical and useful way of teaching the fundamentals that are the graphic design principles.
I have made a lot of tutorial videos on graphic design principles, but this course goes in deeper. We look at contrast, balance, repetition, and movement and flow. These 4 design principles do overlap in some areas, and throughout the design course, you will see and realise this as a graphic designer. We apply the 4 principles on designs such as website designs, album cover designs, package design, infographics, and much more.
So, if you found todays full graphic design course on design principles enjoyable or useful, let me know in the comments section and drop a like on your way out. Subscribe to stay updated to all of my uploads and until next time, design your future today, peace ✌️

Sure thing Sam 👍🏻
Im an editor in process, currently I'm studying audiovisual communication and graphic design catches my attention. See Jack In The Box by Jhope at 3:23 min was something spectacular, thank you for taking it as an example. In our fandom, a lot of talented editors work so hard to do this kind of work for the community. Thank you for the video, is very useful, and now I know the basics about something that caught my attention! tysm
thankyou this helps me understand things o learned from experience, I am applying to the navy as a graphic artist and this is a big help

Today's lesson - Use graphic elements to follow Graphic design principles for achieving end result! Got it👍
Fantastic!
Great video 👍❤
Thanks so much for this video, Tom! If you were to create some more in-depth videos about design for non-designers, I'd be the first in line!

You got me when you showed J-hope! 😁💜💜💜
lol :P
I took screenshot and made notes on the principle of design used on each poster.
Thanks a lot for the video.
As a begginer designer would you please suggest sources for inspiration other than Pinterest and Behance for posters and website design.
Great to see people serious about design.
Literally just have a few searches on Pinterest like 'modern graphic design' and you will go on a journey by clicking things
Hello boss, I think your content is very helpful to me. Are there any related paid courses? I want to learn more deeply.
My friend recommends this channel. The video was really helpful and you got a new subscriber. I have a request, Tom can you plz make a video on a modern type poster design from designing a concept to choosing elements and all the things so we can go and understand in more depth like the resistance poster you showed us in this video. I don't know i this comment matters to you or not but plz accept this request just once. Thanks!
I'll look into it thanks, and have a great day
Amazing
Thanks :D
You are such a brilliant designer and teacher! I would to intern with you.
That means a lot thanks :D
Want to be like you 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you for this video. You explained in a clear and direct way design details which may be complex to decode if you're a beginner as I am. May I ask you where did you find the image on the left side of the thumbnail. The yellow tape one with the guy on the container It's stunning to me, I would like to print it as a poster. Thank you!
Hey, that was from Pinterest and searching 'graphic design album cover'
@@SatoriGraphics Found it! Thank you. Also thank you so much for your videos. I'm learning a lot from them :)
Who edits your videos man? They are incredible
Myself and a rotation of 2 other people 👍🏻
bir şirketim olsa varını yoğunu sana veririm. gözüm kapalı güvenebileceğim bir tasarımcısın!
vay teşekkürler! Umarım olumlu bir hafta sonu geçirirsiniz
When you do a design for digital use, how do you find a balance that works for different devices that the audience may be viewing on? I design on a desktop, but a good amount of people will be viewing on a laptop or mobile devices. The difference on my iPad or Android phone are jarring. Thanks 😊
regarding the principle number 3 "repetition". isn't also like coming up with a main key visual so the rest of the designer use it for other artwork?
Cool
cheers
If you dont mind i am asking. Which video editor you use?? ☺️
Satori: Behold the majestic, analytical thinking of a professional desiner! 😎
The designer: Hmmm.... what if I put this image here and text there..... yay, it suddenly looks nice! 🥳
I love this :D. Either way, whether they did think about it the way you say, or didn't, doesn't really matter. Now we know why it works better this way and can learn from it :-)
I hope God bless you always!
Thanks 😊
Always good to remind us about them principles 😂
For sure lol
I hope they could hire you in a university as a lecturer some day for graphic designing.
Maybe in the future I will 👍🏻
@@SatoriGraphicsyou're far way better than my communication design lecturer
Great Video come to Brazil
Maybe one day bro, and thanks
I love you ❤
right back at you :)
KRL O CARA CONHECE O MATUE!!
😍😍😍
💛
do nada o Matuê no vídeo
❤❤❤❤❤
Who is the artist that built the tattoo website concept? or is that an actual website? It wasn't linked and the URL was cut out of the video
www.behance.net/gallery/67651171/Inky-Tattoo-Studio-Web-design 👍
As a Creative Director that works for many major international companies I have to say I actually think the Inky branding is terrible. The lasting thing you want to associate with tattooing is a smudgy look as shown in the font and icons.
Do nada o Matuê

kudos to you! 🏅
Finally Peace ✌️
:))
Lol, matuê on thumbnail 😅😂😂
Personal bookmark: 11:10
Social media desperately wants you to believe that your graphic design career will be an endless string of trendy RGB posters with 2 words and zero logos at $10,000 bucks a pop.
lol.
brazil reference
👍👍
huehuebr
The design used as a example has been seen everywhere, there is nothing unique about it. Even though the 'rookie' design in the thumb lacks in some of the design principles it is more interesting and attracts the eyes.
Master the rules.
Then learn where when and how to break them.
exactly 👍
Matue????????
"Resitance head" is too much on the left side, actually much too much. Head is looking in to the "small space" of the design, that feels awkward... actually a photographic rule that should also be respected in design. Give room (white space) in the direction the head, car, horse, people are looking. My view only?
Every resources are paid !!😢
what do you mean? This entire video was free
@@SatoriGraphics the logo critique sir. I can't afford
thanks
