Great video. Definitely ready for that fall transition. Question for you. Do you only fish the chatterbait in and around grass or do you use it open water as well?
@@castingacrosstexasfishing great question! Ok for me, and I know lots of anglers do fish it around grass but I used it just as a would a spinnerbait. I throw it at or around anything or in open water where I would think a bass is at. Heck I’ve thrown a white chatter in a school of bass busting on shade and caught a 4lber! She hit it on the fall! So yes, throw it at and around anything. And try to reel it show in areas that’s not heavily affected by grass or wood, and a little faster over grass or wood. I always just reel it 3-4 foot and pause , give it a little twitch with my rod tip and reel it another 3-6 foot and repeat. If you noticed in this video as soon as I paused it she hit it! Hope this helps!
September for me is usually still a summer pattern. But we are already having a cool morning this morning. We don’t usually get this till October. May be breaking out the lipless cranks soon.
What is your favorite September lure, or soft plastic?
Some nice catches! Thanks for some good information! Enjoyed the video buddy! Thank you and God bless!
That first cast bass was a savage! Always go where the wind has been pushing. Great day at the pond.
That Zako is a great trailer on the mini max! Lately I’ve been running a craw trailer and loving it also!
Just gotten those and they are nice. The rage menis is good too.just pull off the top tail when you put it on vertical.
Nice fish my friend!
