Police officers would ideally be able to focus on matters where they're likely to be of more help. At the end of the day the whole thing sounds like it would be better for the police officers too.

It always bothered me that Clancy had a six shooter and after firing two shots at the germs, he throws his gun away. Obviously there are some other hilarious moments that were left out from the series. Homer Defined for example featured Chief Wiggum in a Laugh And A Half segment on the Channel 6 News where he foiled a robbery while counting his spare change from a glass jar where he exclaims that he was “just doing his job!”. He also managed to get his neck tie caught in the hot dog roller during a robbery at the Kwik E Mart. Other than that, solid selections from the series.
