Great layout, I missed seeing the helix would like to see all the levels of this great adventure. I have a 18" X 20" tri level modeling the WP in the 70's from around e of Keddie to W of Reno, NV. Thank you!
Could you share what the height clearance is between your staging level and the level above it at the beginning of the video? I'm about to the point on my layout construction where I need to decide if my current clearance plan will be high enough, and it looks similar to yours. I'm wondering if you find yours satisfactory. Thank you.
I went with 12”. I really could not do much more than that if I wanted to keep the grade of the exit / entrance tracks under 3%. I’m very satisfied with the way it came out and have had no problems at all since I installed it 4 years ago. Good luck with your starting project. Btw..I went with 2.5” spacing with the 4 tracks. Autoracks and passenger cars clear the curves without a problem. My tightest radius is 28”

Thanks! There isn’t an actual helix. Just the mini helix right before the 3rd level.
