- Scenes recorded on Friday & Saturday April 15th & 16th, 2023, of some massively long Union Pacific trains working in the vicinity of Green River, Wyoming.
Recorded by Ross Wall on a Canon EOS R6 Mk2 camera fitted with a Rode Stereo VideoMic Pro external microphone.
Was on vacation thru there last month, on way to visit Grenville Dodge's home in Council Bluffs, IA. Took a re-photo in exactly the location that AJ Russell took in 1868...that photo of Andrew's, appeared in Frank Leslie's magazine later. It showed Jack Casement and the guys building the permanent bridge at Green River, 1868, Citadel Rock in background...A.J.Russell has been lauded as the first "Photo-Journalist" of that era. Thanks from an "Original Transcon RR" enthusiast.
To my untutoured ear there seem to be an extraordinary number of flats, and near the beginning, what sounded like a broken rail
I noticed the flat wheel sound too.
Sou brasileiro e apaixonado por ferrovias, trens e estações ferroviárias. Esse vídeo está maravilhoso. Parabéns !

America America America only America can bring happiness and peace all over Globe
Wow...!! Sweet... ❤ Great clip man..!! Never see anything even like that here, in New Zealand.. 😅 absolutely beast trains getting dragged around.. but I did hear lots of flat spots on the tyres of both trains... 😮 Dangerous at high speed... Thanks for that video, really good..!! 👍
Lindo vídeo,parabéns
One hell of a view and amazing train shots you got there. One sub for you
Does this train go threw rawlins wy?
7:40 I can't make out the placards but noticed the 5 spacer cars on each end. Which is generally for flammable/dangerous but, most time containers don't need spacers. Wonder whats in those containers.
EDIT - Believe it was a military explosives train (ammo, etc).
1 engine, or did i miss one and 300+ cars?
Great work
Great video! Far off scenery looks cold! Thx for sharing your adventure!
Wow no dpu on that 1st train?
why are you now doing American trains not Australian???
because he hasnt done any yank trains for a few years. probably just a bit of a change.
@@vsvnrg3263 maybe he is on vacation.......
@@rearspeaker6364 , or it might be his brother or son. it says "ross wall" did it.
@@vsvnrg3263 oh ok thanks
great capture, scenes, trains, action. I thought trains would of been going faster thru there. Maybe less chance of derailment moving at slower speeds. Trains seem longer?
Look like DoD explosives containers on that second train from about8:15.
Very cool yes USA 🇺🇸 fantastic 😅😊❤
I love trains with mountain and desert landscape!
Nice video and location
AWESOME video . . .

Great work
T
surprised those trains are not even going 50mph.
I believe it's a very long upgrade.
goods trains limit safety limit 40kmph more speed means rails out on ground 11types of velocities act on everything most dangerous complicated is angular velocity drivers intuition most important than train itself
They are very near Green River, so likely will stop there, or just got going.
At peru,not green river
Parabéns pelo vídeo, belas composições.
I'm gonna guess that you are a Libra.
