    After all this time, I still come back and watch this video every now and again. It's a fantastic video! It's the video that introduced me to this watch and made me buy it. I absolutely love this watch! It is still my favorite watch in my collection.

    Love the Shogun. Its lighter weight is a refreshing change. This is a lovely everyday piece on either strap or bracelet. I have the Zimbe and it’s mind blowing in the looks and feel department. The whole package is a home run IMHO.

    One month ago I bought the SBDC029 SEIKO Shogun Titanium for 900 $. This is my first automatic watch and I have been wearing it every day. I love this piece of art

      That a pretty good deal for shogun! I brought mine for 950 about 6 months ago, exact same model as yours, and it’s taken a lit of my wrist time. I’m thinking of upgrading to a sapphire crystal and maybe a ceramic bezel insert, if i can find one. But a very nice watch over all, love how lightweight titanium is.

    Bought my Shogun 2 years ago and it's my go to diver in the water. It also feels & wears perfect on the wrist & my wrist is only 6.75.

    Very nice sharp angles on this Seiko titanium , I have the first addition Shogun SBDC007 (same watch)and been happy with it, very comfortable, I think the fineness of the bracelet links help with the comfort factor also. It wears smaller on wrist than you would think & the bezel is 42mm on digital caliper, perfect on my 7 inch wrist, but it’s not getting much wrist time as have just got a Omega 2254

    My favorite Sekio watch, and my everyday wear... Of course, I added a sapphire crystal, s/s chapter ring and Marine master clasp. Also, prefer the 007 w/ the cursive "Automatic".

    I'd like to find something that looks like the Orient Mako USA 2 White dial but with a higher level fit and finish with the case and bracelet. I love the way it looks with that black outlined stick indices, the black bezel with the white dial, the black hands and the day date complication. Pretty much everything about it. I just think the case and bracelet are pretty underwhelming. Any suggestions around 500ish?

    Just sold mine, upgraded to MM300 (from a lightweight to a heavyweight!). The shogun was extremely comfortable and great on a decent rubber strap (Didn't use the Seiko one that came with it though). The titanium bracelet was pretty ordinary but was comfortable. Also I missed the shine of stainless, the titanium is pretty flat.

      You and me both. But unfortunately we live in the "huge watch" era. Rob disagrees with me, but since I started paying attention to watches 15 years ago or so, all I've seen is the sizes getting bigger and bigger. Smaller watches are still around, but way less prevalent than they used to be. It's silly, but it's the way things are.

    I’d take the MIDO Ocean Star Titanium over the Shogun.🤷‍♂️🤔

    • @brianbellamy5958
      @brianbellamy5958 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have both and don't think I would. The Mido has a reduced beat rate in exchange for a longer PR. It's more difficult to adjust and service the modified ETA. I like the monster hands and lume better on the Seiko. The Mido does not have a screw-down caseback. The titanium screws in the Mido bracelet are a weak point and often break when sizing the watch. The Mido does not have drilled lugs. My Shogun runs +1 while my Ocean Star titanium runs -8. I will give the Mido points for sapphire and its fantastic adjustable clasp. It's miles better than Seiko's hardlex and stamped clasp.
