I almost paused the video to explain this further but figured if I did that then I would pause it 100 other times and it would be 10 hours long lol. Basically there's 3 positions you can get in on a shot: just right, too far, not far enough. Obviously just right is what you're aiming for, but with most shots you can either go too far or not far enough, but not both. If you figure out which one is best, you can err on whichever side that is, and it can make things much easier. I find it mostly helps when I can get too far, because I make sure I don't baby the stroke and if I hit it too hard it's ok.
