With a child coming I gave up my plans and joined the military to provide. My plan worked but me being me, I left after 10 years which meant I left with no retirement. We have always made it all right, but of course so many dreams I had are so far unrealized. Several years ago I began writing again and it is hope that enabled me to make a new start. Even if I never make any money from it, I choose to be the writer I wanted to be when I was 11 years old when I watched The Walton's every day and related to the main character. I choose to pursue this dream and for the past several years have lived life like I want to. Your channel has given me so much strength and courage and hope to continue this and to do the same in some other areas of my life.
You can do this, Lubna. And if it works out some other kind of way it will only be because life is pushing you in some other way. In my case, I think that it took ten years in the Army, 3 kids, a divorce, a remarriage, other relationships and so forth to be the writer I wanted to be in the first place.
Your video is about the sweetest thing in life, hope. Hope is one of the 3 theological virtues and without it life wouldn't be life. Your story is being enriched every day by your experiences. And your heart is being beautified every day by them as well. Don't ever give up!!!!

Thank you, Jeremy, for sharing your beautiful and inspiring story. You are right; hope is one of the most important things in life. 🌺🌹🌸
I wanted to share here some relevant lines from the section titled “Of Hope and Charity” in Genius of Christianity:
“The peculiar characteristic of hope is that which places it in relation with our sorrows. That religion which made a virtue of hope was most assuredly revealed by heaven. This nurse of the unfortunate, taking her station by man like a mother beside her suffering child, rocks him in her arms, presses him to her bosom, and refreshes him with a beverage which soothes all his woes. She watches by his solitary pillow; she lulls him to sleep with her magic strains. Is it not surprising to see hope, which is so delightful a companion and seems to be a natural emotion of the soul, transformed for the Christian into a virtue which is an essential part of his duty?”

Why bet on Goliath when you have King David. When everyone gave up with no hope , the Champion appeared with unshakable courage by putting out his opponent's flame . KD won the respect of his people, more importantly that of God. The last great hope gaining the crown 👑

It is beautiful what God can do for us if we never lose hope in spite of how demoralizing our situation may appear. From the book David and Goliath, by Malcolm Gladwell: “The act of facing overwhelming odds produces greatness and beauty.” 🌟🧡✨

2 Samuel 4:8-11 is a good example of King David's character and honor. Thanks for the book recommendation. "If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need”. - Marcus Tullius Cicero
