    Nice comparison and I'm with you 100% on your final opinion. I've been comparing the larger versions of these 2 watches myself, along with the original Venu (which is just a Vivoactive 4 with an AMOLED display), and as much as I do like the new interface, the better battery life, and having the newest sensors on the Venu 2, I just can't justify the extra $150 USD for it either. I almost fell over when you said what the CAD prices are. JEEEEZE!!!

    This was a great comparison review! Thanks for putting it together. I currently have the Vivoactive 4 (which I really enjoy) and have been wanting to just try the Venu 2 for the maybe slightly better sleep tracking and with the newer updated HR sensor... You pointed it out in your comparison about the true always on screen of the Vivoactive vs the Venu and I know for sure that this will bug me too. I *love* the always on screen on the Vivoactive! Will go for a walk, bike ride, etc wearing both of them just like you did and see what one to keep and which one to flip. Cheers! (:

I have small wrist so the garmin was the only watch from other brands that fits. I bought the white one regret is little bit its 40 dollars more expensive. And i love the timer

Here in Germany the difference currently is 200€ for the vivoactive 4s to 300€ for the Venu 2s, so 100€ difference. And thanks to you, i know now, that the price difference isn't worth it. Hi! I have never had a garmin watch, so I've never experienced the always on display. I'm switching from FitBit to Garmin, and even after watching your video, I can't decide which display I want. Personally, which display do you prefer? Have you upgraded to the venu 2s yet, or do you still wear your vivoactive 4s?

    • @AbbyBReviewing
      @AbbyBReviewing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Caitlyn! I love the always-on display on the Vivoactive 4S and it's easier to read outdoors in the sun but, the Venu 2S display looks better being AMOLED. I did recently switch to the Venu 2S, partly as I got engaged and wanted a watch that matched my rose gold ring 😜, also I like to switch up the smartwatch I wear as I own more than one. I still think both are great smartwatch options in 2022, and if you live in an area with a Best Buy or can shop on Amazon I would highly recommend getting the watch (or both watches) there as in Canada and the USA you get a 30 days return period so you could test it out and return if you don't like it. Hope that helps :)

    • @AbbyBReviewing
      @AbbyBReviewing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Hi Cole, and thank you 😊! Based on the current prices of both these watches (as price is debatably the most important factor to most people & for myself) yes I would personally recommend the Vivoactive 4S it's still a great watch in 2021! And the 4S is the primary smartwatch I currently use.
      The 4S has most of the features the 2S has and is on par with accuracy, performance, comfort & ease of use. Also I've seen the 4S on sale a lot recently making it a better bang for your buck if you can grab one on sale.
      However, if both watches are regular priced near you, with just a $50 difference and your someone willing/able to pay the regular price, and if the extra battery life, an AMOLED display and additional features are important to you I'd recommend the Venu 2S.

    I currently have the Vivomove Hr and I love it. Wish I had known there was a sports version and I might have paid $100 more for it but the one I have currently is amazing. Especially since I just like knowing the basic info of my health. But looking into being more active and your review helped me decide! @Hanna-yn5ou 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@coraziel21 Well, you can get the Fenix 6S... That's a bit smaller. But if you are a woman, frankly - I'd say the Fenix is primarily a men's watch and women who want to use it have to accept that it's not super pretty and stylish, in the way that a jewellery style watch is... I think the 6S look and feel okay on my very slim wrist, with a bracelet and if I am manicured etc. But I wouldn't exactly wear it to a party. There are some other cuter and smaller Garmin watches + Huawei makes some smart watches that actually look fairly stylish (no plastic like all the Garmins have, and leather band).

      Hello John! On sale the Venu 2S is definitely worth it however, depending on where you are located there may be better sales coming soon ex. Black friday, Cyber Monday.
      I've noticed the Vivoactive 4S has been getting regular updates about 1 every 2-5 weeks for the last year, I don't think updates will be discontinued soon for either watch.
      And I personally think the Vivoactive 4S screen is good enough but, I would suggest you compare the 2 displays within this video to see if it's good enough for you as it's your opinion that matters most when your choosing a new watch 😊

      Hi Jessica, I don't find them too big at all on my wrist, both are lightweight, comfortable to wear and I like the look of them. If you are worred about size, you should know the Venu SQ is actually larger in the size of the display and the band. I have an unboxing of the Venu SQ here ( th-cam.com/video/fUGrb3r6LDE/w-d-xo.html ) if you'd like to see what that watch looks like on my wrist.

      Hi Sam La, I still agree with what I said in this video, and I definitely think you should consider the display you prefer (Vivoactive 4S always on sunlight transflective display vs Venu 2S AMOLED display), as that's one of the most noticeable differences between these smartwatches.

      Thank you for your reply! Yes I have watched them, they were great, thank you for doing them! I think my indecision is because of the display….I do prefer the venu 2s display, but is it worth the £100 difference in price to me? Hmmm! 🙈🤣

    I’d like to add, the display color is way different. I thought I wanted the V4s but I just opened and set it up and I’m disappointed in the coloring. I guess it is supposed to look that way so it’s easier to see outside but it’s disappointing it’s not more Vivid. I might return for the 2s now. Also thank you for this video. I watched it before and after I got my watch and didn’t actually pay attention to the coloring on the screens.

    • @AbbyBReviewing
      @AbbyBReviewing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes the displays are definitely different. The Venu 2S is more contrasting and has more bold vivid colours. And the Vivoactive 4S is definitely easier to read outdoors and has an always on display. Goodluck with your watch decision Lindsay 😊

    You say battery life of the Venu 2s is better, but it isn't a fair contest as it has a blank face most of the time. How long would the vivoactive last if you could turn off the always on (or at least set to the lowest)?

    • @AbbyBReviewing
      @AbbyBReviewing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hello Paul, feel free to test out both watches yourself and see if you get a different result. I'd enjoying hearing the outcome. Also, you cannot turn off the always on display on the Vivoactive 4S it's built to be always on. Furthermore, I did mention when the Venu 2S always on display option is turned on the battery life is poor.

    I was going to upgrade to the Venu 2 from the Vivoactive 4 but I can't find anyone to buy my watch 😂 and 400$ is pretty steep if I can't sell this thing so idk I mainly just wanted to try a AMOLED screen watch out. I might see what this new Samsung watch looks like but the renders Ive seen don't look to my taste and the battery will suck I'm sure. Plus the Garmin ecosystem is pretty solid.

    • @AbbyBReviewing
      @AbbyBReviewing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh no, well good luck selling it! And the good news is that the Venu 2 should be on sale in the coming months probably on Black Friday, Boxing Day etc so that gives you extra time to sell your Vivoactive 4. And the AMOLED display is beautiful in person, everything about this watch is great really, except the price 😂

    Does the vivoactiv show your steps on the watch face? This is a deal breaker. Thanks again❤

      Hi, both watches will provide a similar experience and a vast majority of the points I covered in this video also apply to the Venu Sq Music. However, a key difference is the design being square vs circular, your preferences here may shape your decision. Both are a good buy, and I personally prefer circular watches.
