@athenarose1298 Hello! They are not the same they SQ watches are made with less expensive/duraable materials and have different features and less sensors, have, a music, and non music version, usually are a lower price point, and more. I've also reviewed the Garmin Venu SQ and Venu SQ 2 watches. And did a comparison on the Venu 2S vs Venu SQ 2( th-cam.com/video/P1MPcKL4kJ4/w-d-xo.html ) if you're interested.
Super helpful video as a lot of other people won't review an item much longer after the initial launch date. So heading your opinions of this watch right now are awesome because there are those of us in 2023 that might be considering it still!!! Helpful info, thank, thanks again!!!
Hi Devin, I'm glad you found this video helpful! I definitely think it's improtant to talk about items well after the the initial launch. And thanks for sharing 😊
I’m really enjoying my month-old Venu 2S! I’m glad I made the switch to Garmin from Fitbit after my Charge 3’s screen faded away. Garmin’s hardware and software seem very solid, and I love the amount of customization allowed, like rearranging my stats order, choosing alarm labels, and making my own watch faces through the “Face It” tool in the Connect IQ app. The fact that it could measure indoor rowing is awesome and saves me from having to input data manually like I did with my previous device. While I found Fitbit‘s sleep tracker more accurate, everything else with the Venus 2S is amazing.
This was such a well-done review! I'm in the market for a new smart watch and I love how you organized your thoughts and included cons as well as all the reasons you love it. Thank you for helping me make my decision!
I agree with everything of what you said! Specially the updates thing. I have a Forerunner 35 (released in 2016) and is still getting updates! Even though I'm not looking for a watch now, your reviews are always enjoyable to "watch" 😀 Cheers Abby!!
Oh thats awesome your Forerunner 35 is still getting updates! I'm happy to hear your enjoying my watch reviews & are watching them even though your not looking for a watch at the moment 😊. Nice pun lol. And thanks for sharing nicozica!
Thank you sooo much for this! Been contemplating for this or the forerunner 165 but im not really active in running. Just prolly once a week and have a very small wrists! 🥺
Hi Abby, after watching all of your videos about the Venu2s including those that compare it with other smartwatches, I waited until I found a price I could afford and just bought it! I’m really excited. Best Buy in the US is having its Black Friday sale now for $199. It’s in white/rose gold & will in a few days. Thanks again! 🌷
I made the switch from my fitbit charge 2 to garmin venu 2S yesterday, and I am so happy I did! I love every feature of the garmin, and the app is so easy to use. I did notice the sleep reader said I was awake only 2 times last night, which seemed odd for me, but it also showed that I had been restless multiple times during the night (these restless times were not counted in the awake times). Fitbit used to count awake and restless times as the same, so once I compared the garmin sleep graphs against the fitbit ones, it all seemed pretty similar.
I got it for a days and I love it. My main complaint would be a slightly awkward intro and explanation how to use it but their Garmin support has everything explained. Loving it! I highly recommend it to everyone interested in it :D
En cherchant pour acheter une première montre connectée, je suis tombé sur votre video très intéressante. Merci pour votre retour d'expérience sur cette Venue 2S 👍
Does the Venu 2s have an option to display a second hand on the clock? I'm in healthcare and need a clock with a secondhand display for taking vitals !
Hi, yes but it depends on which watch face you choose to use. As some have seconds digital, some have a second watch hand for analog watch faces, while some have neither.
@@AbbyBReviewing oh okay! Thanks much for the reply! As long as I can get SOME kind of second indicator that’ll work! I appreciate it. Wanted to be sure before I buy :)
Great summry, thanks! It helped me decide to make the jump and buy one. I just switched to the Venu 2 from the Vivoactive 3, and there is one feature I miss. In addition to setting which wrist I wear the watch, the Vivoactive also had an "orientation" setting to switch on which side the button is. This allowed me to wear the watch on my right wrist with the button on the left, so it's a real mirror of wearing it on the left wrist. For some reason, this is not available on the Venu 2. I don't understand why this is not available. It could be supported with remapping the button functions. I miss it, because no I have to "reach over" with my left hand to press the buttons.
Thank you! And it works well, if worn snug you can track your heart rate while swimming and underwater. Also tracks distance and strokes accurately in my experience.
I have had the Venu 2s for almost 2 months now & really like it. One thing puzzles me & it is the stress data. Do you find the stress #’s to be accurate & reliable? I ask because mine always seems to be poor & don’t know why. No worries are keeping me up at night for example (knock on wood!) Just curious if it is me and I have stresses I don’t realize that I have! Thanks.
Hello, I find the stress tracking pretty good for me like 80% of the time, I'll see an alert that notifys me of high stress when I'm actually feeling stressed, but sometimes it can come up at other times ex. if i have a headache, if I'm sick, or just randomly when i don't think im feeling stressed. and an optional prompt for relaxation breathing. I know this metric takes your heart rate, breath rate, and more into account so that may have something to do with yours being poor. But the stress tracking isn't meant to be used for accurate medical purposes, just a metric that may be helpful.
It stays white really easily in my experience! I just wear it in the shower and occasionally (like 1-2 times a month) rinse with water, and wipe with rubbing alchol, to keep it clean :)
Hi Abby. I just found your channel. I was curious if you ever owned a Samsung watch and if you like the Garmin better? I'm thinking of switching, because the battery life is so poor on the Samsung watches.
Hi Emily! Yes I have, and I've reviewed some Samsung Galaxy watches and did some comparisons to Garmin watches also which you can find on my channel under my AbbyBReviewing Tech Tuesday playlist here: th-cam.com/play/PLj1R-thNvAXcPnHjo5nNGoHKyLZOSQC8C.html Ps. As of right now yes I like Garmin better. I also find Samsung's current watch battery life too short and that's not an issue I have to face with my Garmin watches.
Great video, helping me make a decision to switch to Garmin from Whoop. Does the Venu 2S recognize activity or do you have to tell it that you’re starting a workout? My Whoop recognizes activity & measures without me doing anything.
Thank you! And yes it does, Garmin calls this Move IQ which can auto track and determine activities. However, it's more accurate to manually choose and start an activity(ex. Run, yoga, cycling, walk), as it could guess the activity wrong.
I’m driving myself crazy picking a garmin watch😅 I’ve narrowed down to the venu s black (it’s 90 pound cheaper) and vibe active 5 Is it just the colour that is different? It’s a huge price difference for colour. I think i am swaying more the venu s because of the barometer xx
Hey, no there's a large amount of differences, and I have actually already done a video comparing the two watches here: th-cam.com/video/Pu82h5n-Pu0/w-d-xo.html
Hi I am planning on getting the samsung galaxy watch 6 bt but I'm concerned with the sensors not being accurate. So another option is getting the garmin venu s2. Which would you recommend? I mainly want to track my sleep quality.
Hello, if you're looking for very accurate sleep tracking, i would recommend getting a Fitbit that is thier best selling feature (I've reviewed a bunch of the channel). If you want accurate everything else, like heart rate data, activity tracking, stress monitoring, breath rate, steps etc I'd go with Garmin and the Venu 2S is a great option from them. When it comes to Samsung, the areas i find it excells are the swim tracking, better watch face options, and more watch apps available comparatively.
Yes It can be connected to a Samsung phone, download the Garmin Connect App, create a profile if you havent already and click add a device and follow all instructions.
Considering this vs 265s for daughter. I watched your review comparing the two. I can get 20% off 265s which makes it only $60 more than 2s. Which would you choose? Thanks
Hello A I, as you've watched my Forerunner 265s vs Venu 2S comparison video, I did mention in it which watch I think is best for each type of user as well as which one prefer. I Also have full reviews on both watched if you want more information about them.
Yes its still worth it in 2024! But with it getting harder to find, I'd buy it ASAP if your interested😊
Are the Sq models basically the same just different casing?? Loving the videos while hunting down a switch from FitBit!❤

What exact colour is the watch in this video? Is it light gold stainless bezel with light sand strap? Or is the white with a. Rose gold besel please?
Hello, this is the white/ rose gold colour Venu 2S.
Thanks! I wear gold jewellery so am gutted there isn’t a gold and white combo!
Does this measure Vo2 max too?
Hi! yes it does.
I wish the watch could have a speaker for all the music to be out-loud
If you want that, I'd recommend the Venu 3S!

For the love of pronunciation twenty has a hard T before the Y. It's not 'tweny'. it's twenty, with a T, pronounced it.
😂.. how people pronounce words highly depends on where you're from.
