- We had fun building this engine as a family. Stay tuned as we break this down and show off the build. Now that I have a power plant for my 1972 Camaro, we can get to building that car! Nothing like the sound of a big block Chevy

Yeah, the timing was retarded but during break-in, generally speaking, once you get them running, you keep 'em running.

Anyway you can list out the built parts on the motor? I’d love to build something on a budget someday. My stock 73 small block is… well I don’t have to tell you….. Ha
Yeah, a 350 Chevy should never be "rated" at 190HP... My build was a little more in depth due to my original, numbers matching block, being already bored 60 over and needing to be bored again. Maybe Ill do a video discussing budget options for power on these cars. A "top end kit" works wonders. Heads, cam and intake can get you up and around 400 HP if you remove the smog stuff as well.

Rust-Oleum safety blue 😂. My Vette is painted with Rust-Oleum safety red haha. The Camaro will be blue and black.
What cam are you using?
This engine has a Comps CL11-600-4. Nice mild cam for lower RPM builds.
