Now THIS is the video I needed in my life! Chopard does not get the love it deserves and the Alpine Eagle is the ONE! I love the dial and I think it has so much character. Gorgeous video as always Teddy !
Showed this watch to my brother (who was looking at the AP Royal Oak) and he loved it. Was so impressed with the fit and finish of this watch that he bought one with the new pine-green dial. It is a gorgeous piece!
I’m impressed that the camera crew is able to fully expose the background and the subject(teddy) at the same time. It’s either the camera is taking HDR shots or the studio light is on high intensity(notice your forearm shadows on the table).
I am glad this is noticed. The amount of light that is needed in front of me is pretty crazy. It essentially needs to win the battle with the sun in order to pull off the shot properly. It is a challenge to light to say the least.
Thank you for showcasing this brand. Up til now I would not have looked as closely at the brand and would have mistakenly label it as a "fashion watch" brand, but now I see they are truly on par with the heavy-hitters of horology.
I’ve love this watch since it hit the market a few years ago. Its finishing is just wonderful and its dial is spectacular. Best of all is that you won’t see it on everyone else’s wrist. That gets so trite in some circles with some watches. It’s nice to have something that says that you’re an individual.
I have the 2-tone version of the Alpine Eagle and I absolutely love it. The gray dial pops even more when you contrast it with the rose gold of the 2-tone case. Its a watch that will be in my collection for a long time.
I think this watch has a character of its own and needs to be appreciated for what its DNA has developed into. Obviously, each one of us could say what we'd do differently if we had our own watch company. I think brands express their style diversity by developing different concepts, albeit at times resembling others, by gradually maturing their prowess in a tight horological space. Chopard isn't featured as much as some of the other top players, but the Alpine Eagle certainly holds its own. Teddy, videos like this that discover a brand's heritage are much appreciated.
Great video. Alpine eagle isn't my favorite but I love Chopard as a brand. As you say, super underrated. Last year I picked up an LUC sport 2000, in-house micro rotor, great finishing, for 5K. Such good deals, especially pre-owned.
I was in Switzerland in May and came within sooooo close to buying this with the blue dial. It's still very high on my list. Between this and the GP Laureato I think the Chopard wins
Something else to think about especially in a world that is ever decreasing in its lack of ethics and morals is that this brand is the industry leader in its ethical and environmental sourcing of materials and its dedication in creating an excellent work environment for its employees. Plus,at least here in Vienna you can actually walk into the dealer and pick up a steel sports watch and walk out with it if not the same day then within a couple of weeks, try that with the usual suspects!
This is a stunning watch, and I also love their Mille Miglia Chrono's with their connection to the race in Italy. If I had to choose between this and a GP Laureato, I woulid probably go for the Laureato.
Agreed. I have a Mille Miglia titanium silver Dial. Some will laugh, but I think prettier than a Daytona. Chopard are slept on watches. I'm OK with that.
Great video yet again! Stunning videography to capture the beauty and depth of that dial. I gave the Alpine Eagle some recent consideration, along with the GP Laureato 42 mm, before deciding to go with a discontinued Date Just. All sporty but with dressy versatility, in my opinion. Chopard definitely has credibility over in Europe. My brother-in-law works for a Swiss company and recently brought me back a Watches magazine with the blue flying tourbillon model on the cover. Definitely not fashion watches!
I'm very glad to see this particular brand and watch on your Channel Teddy. I'm hoping you'll make more videos on brands like Chopard; brands in the medium to high hourology market that are under appreciated or simply less known.
I was introduced to you via your collaboration with Sartorial Talks. I'm not a fan of anything on my wrist, but do admire quality. You have an excellent presentation style. Technical, but also good for those of us that know nothing about watches. That being said, this is a watch that I would wear.
I feel the 4:30 datewindow is great idea. It keeps the dial balanced, since no markers need to be cut. It generally needs to be color cordinated though.
This is one of the best new watch releases IMO in the last few years. It's a stunning piece for Chopard and while expensive it's still coming in cheaper than some alternatives in this similar style from Patek or AP. I'm sure it's not for everyone as it's not all that original in it's design but it's a damn nice watch.
bought this just a week ago and, well, naturally I'm in love with this piece. kind of pleasant to see a review of it cuz seems only a few watch youtube channels mention this...
Love this watch. Got it as soon as it came out and the best purchase to date. The dial and bracelet are just stunning. Best thing is the bracelet is difficult to scratch!
You should see the special editions like the wempe boutique edition with the white dial, or my favourite the Maritime Blue Seaside boutique. So electric!
Chopard sure is an underrated brand and for me the LUC Quattro Spirit 25 is their true hidden gem. As for the Alpine Eagle, like you Teddy, I like the « grey » dial better than the blue one.
Another great video Teddy. Here’s some unsolicited ideas for future videos: - compressor style watches - jump hour complications - regulator style watches - cushion case watches My apologies if these topics were already discussed in prior videos.
Thanks for bringing up Chopard, we want more videos like this of lesser talked of brands. Can we have videos on Piguet, Fredriqui Constantin. Also, you and your friend Kevin don’t talk too often of Vacheron Constantin, I remember an episode where you guys went to boutique but never purchased it. Is something off with VC in the market among investors? Really curious.
This watch caught my eye on the wrist of Ryan Reynolds in the movie "6 Underground" I believe it was the Chopard Mille Miglia GTS Power Control Grigio Speciale, very cool!
Very nice treatment for the underrated brand. I was fortunate to get a Chopard in 2000 and have worn it almost daily from day one. I love this design and it's now on my "want list". Keep up the good work!
It is a similar case like the Gerard Perregaux: two integrated bracelet from the Royal Oak age, meaning early to mid 70s. Impossible to avoid comparisons.
I have the blue dial version and love it to this date. The craftsmanship is superb compared to those hyped sport watches on market. Looking forward to getting the new one with the LUC caliber.🎉
I didn't know about Chopard until one of their watches showed up on "Crash landing on you" - a Korean Comedy/Drama. As far as this watch goes, I love the dial. The swirls actually remind me of feathers, hence the Alpine "Eagle"
Thank you Teddy. If possible, could you may be make a segment on comparing LUC'S Seal of Genieve movement Teddy to that of a Lange Saxonia for example. I like LUC's XPS but a Lange is A Lange. Thank you.
Thank you for this review. Fantastic wristwatch and really underrated! The bracelet is something special and unique!! So beautiful like a jewelry ❤️ Exceptional quality! 👍🤘💪👏
Chopard is a fantastic watchmaker and one of the best cost to values in the whole industry. But if you get one make sure you really, really like it because they are nearly impossible to sell if you want to flip it (speaking from personal experience).
I had never heard of this brand prior to watching this video. It's clearly out of my price range but if I had an extra 14 grand to spend, this would be a very strong contender. Amazing review as always, Teddy.
Teddy, great video, well done. Yea Rolex, Holt Trinity, are always reviewed. But Chopard reflects a classic watch, for mature buyers not status screaming Rolexes. Well done
Dear Teddy, thank you for your videos! What about Alpina? A 1883 Swiss brand i don't hear much about, i own a seastrong diver 300 and i love it i would to see a video about this brand.
Great, well researched and comprehensive video as always. It’s a pity, but for me the Chopard Alpine Eagle doesn’t quite work and is a nearly ran. The main issue I think is 1/ the bracelet, needs I think to taper more aggressively than only down to 20mm, and the polished section in the middle of the bracelet is a little too narrow and square. Doesn’t quite work. 2/ Although nice dial background, not a fan of the Roman numerals, think it would look more elegant and contrast with high polished markers. It’s a little too grey/drab and doesn’t pop. Agree case finishing nice though
Teddy you should make a video about (reasonably priced) wall clocks; would really be interesting and spice up a lot of rooms. I personally like the IWC and Baume & Mercier ones.
Thanks for this great vid, again. Chopard is a really respectable and underrated brand. I'm a little disappointed about the movement and it's finish in this price range. Poorly, this is was a Show Stopper for me.
The Chopard L.U.C "La Santa Muerte" is probably my favorite watch on existence... and I hate big gold watches, so that's something For me, that's the perfect balance of ultra-luxurious/classy and tongue-in-cheek, one of the most difficult acts to pull off Respect
hi, teddy. I love your channel, the style of your watches and your good technical knowledge. What can you tell me about Yema watches, made in France and with very attractive proposals. I'd like to know your opinion, if you have a few minutes. Thank you for your work
Love the Burgundy toned dial model. So much to like about this piece. Definitely hits all the marks for me. Thanks Teddy for showcasing a brand and model that you don’t see very often but carries some weight.
I find the texture and colour of the dial reminiscent of the sides of mountains in the Alps, which is fitting. The finishing on the dial appears to be executed tastefully. Besides that, the indices, hands and roman numerals harmonize well and regarding the latter, I do like how they are rotated 90 degrees at the three and nine o'clock positions. The date at four-thirty is -as so often- something to be argued about, and the watch could have probably done without that, though I like the way in which it has been connected to the chapter ring here. Overall I find the price tag to be on the higher side, when I think of many other watches I'd prefer to get over this one, but I guess this is just one of those watches, that you really have to fall in love with, to "pull the trigger". That being said, on its own, it looks to be a really solid watch.
I really like the design of this watch and of course the beautiful dial, but I can help felling the movement is a little underwhelming at this price point. A tungsten or gold rotor with a little more decoration I think would make a huge difference.
Chopard makes nice watches. They are better known for their jewelry. The Alpine Eagle is a great watch, especially if you see it up close at an AD. They also make the watch in two-tone and Chronograph versions. Chopard also develops their in-house movements.
If this had an IWC adjustment in the bracelet, I would really be excited about this gorgeous watch... however the IWC Mark xx (new one) is the one P.s. People say they want the date on this Chopard at 6 or 3 o'clock but I disagree. I love that you have the balance of the roman numerals all around the dial... so either keep it at the 4, or remove the date P.s.... yes I think it needs to be under 8-9k, but I do get why its so expensive... that dial is amazing by the way. And the case shape
Now THIS is the video I needed in my life! Chopard does not get the love it deserves and the Alpine Eagle is the ONE! I love the dial and I think it has so much character. Gorgeous video as always Teddy !
Beats a moon swatch eh brit ;)
Joking aside I did like your take on it
Thanks Britt! Keep up the good work. You are rolling right now!
@@TeddyBaldassarre ahhh thabk you so much lovely. 💕✨
Enough with the azzlking, we dont wanna spend 10k on watch
Showed this watch to my brother (who was looking at the AP Royal Oak) and he loved it. Was so impressed with the fit and finish of this watch that he bought one with the new pine-green dial. It is a gorgeous piece!
Teddy Bulbasaur
LOL 😂
Trololo
Lmao how long have you been holding that back? 😂
As a kid who grew up during the Pokémon boom don’t get me started on how often I have heard this… haha
🤣 as a kid of the 90s, this made me EL OH EL.
I’m impressed that the camera crew is able to fully expose the background and the subject(teddy) at the same time. It’s either the camera is taking HDR shots or the studio light is on high intensity(notice your forearm shadows on the table).

I got the blue. Worth the $
I think this watch has a character of its own and needs to be appreciated for what its DNA has developed into. Love the tone on tone Chopard Alpine Eagle!
Chopard is amazing, and this watch is fantastic. You can pair with their jewelry and get a gorgeous look. Thank you Teddy!
Great video. Been eyeing one of these for a while now. Planning on pulling the trigger next year for celebrating a sepcial milestone in my life.
have you pulled the trigger mate?
Great video. Alpine eagle isn't my favorite but I love Chopard as a brand. As you say, super underrated. Last year I picked up an LUC sport 2000, in-house micro rotor, great finishing, for 5K. Such good deals, especially pre-owned.

Get it! I got one, and do not regret one bit.
The GP logo puts me off, chopard indefinitely
Looks ugly on wrist
Something else to think about especially in a world that is ever decreasing in its lack of ethics and morals is that this brand is the industry leader in its ethical and environmental sourcing of materials and its dedication in creating an excellent work environment for its employees. Stunning watch, I'd love to own one. Thanks Teddy for again introducing us to brands like this.
I absolutely love Chopard's movements - look at those massive screws, it's all muscle which I love seeing in mechanics! Great stuff!
This is a stunning watch, and I also love their Mille Miglia Chrono's with their connection to the race in Italy. If I had to choose between this and a GP Laureato, I woulid probably go for the Laureato.
I have a Millie Miglia GMT, such a wonderful watch. Yes it has a base ETA 7754 but it's been modified beyond just a nice rota.
Agreed. I have a Mille Miglia titanium silver Dial. Some will laugh, but I think prettier than a Daytona. Chopard are slept on watches. I'm OK with that.
This may just be my new favourite watch, and from a Maison that I continue to learn more about and continue to love even more! Thanks TEDDY!

Lovely piece. Chopard has a lot of amazing watches in their catalog. Incredible craftsmanship and horology.

I got to try on the blue dial version of this watch and it was pure class. I was very impressed.

Love the Alpine Eagle however I'm only aware of it because of a homage to it! Incredible dial on these and truly a hidden gem in the market
My Mille Miglia is my favorite watch, and I have several to choose from.
Chopard is top shelf all the way.
This particular video I liked because I like Chopard. Nobody speaks of them anymore. Great watch maker.
I tried this one on and it's great. I would have liked a better clasp release. The friction fit is a bit pedestrian.
I had the same impression. The friction fit clasp is a deal killer.
The newest examples have a twin trigger lock on the clasp. I’m wearing one now!
I own a Chopard LUC with 19.96 mvmt..... is really a handsome mvmt. Love it.
Great review Teddy.
I didn't know about Chopard until one of their watches showed up on "Crash landing on you" - a Korean Comedy/Drama. As far as this watch goes, I love the dial. The swirls actually remind me of feathers, hence the Alpine "Eagle"
I have that watch (Grigio)before that drama aired, i use it as my daily. I love Chopard, didnt even know they make jewellry.
Thank you Teddy. If possible, could you may be make a segment on comparing LUC'S Seal of Genieve movement Teddy to that of a Lange Saxonia for example. I like LUC's XPS but a Lange is A Lange. Thank you.

Good idea to buy used? Hmm.
Have you tried to flip this specific model? How’s the experience? Did you ended up selling it with massive loss?
I like the Mille Miglia Chronographs
Fantastic Watch! Thanks for the video! I would say the same position and underrated like GP Laureato……but with rising attention
Thanks for watching and showing love.
Congratulations 🌹🎉🎈you have been shortlisted for a prize !!! Send me a text above to acknowledge your prize .
My take is that I really love this ref for the brand heritage combined with the sleeper status. Love it.
I love mine in 36mm in rose gold, its a outstanding watch.
Im getting the 126622 slate from this as well.
Such a stunner by chopard
I had never heard of this brand prior to watching this video. It's clearly out of my price range but if I had an extra 14 grand to spend, this would be a very strong contender.
Amazing review as always, Teddy.

The Alpine Eagle 41 with the blue dial is a flat out stunner
Recently I got a Chopard. Value at the high end is the best way to understand it.
Did not get the Alpine Eagle but bought the LUC Skull One recently, love the design and the LUC movement. Very well made watch. Love it so much :D
If "La Santa Muerte" didn't exist, I could love the Skull One... :(
Another Genta inspired sports watch. Not a bad thing, it gives us wonderful choices in the sports watch category.
Hey Teddy, great content as usual. Friendly reminder we emailed you for a review on our new watches., in case it's in your junk folder. Cheers.
Teddy, great video, well done. Yea Rolex, Holt Trinity, are always reviewed. But Chopard reflects a classic watch, for mature buyers not status screaming Rolexes. Well done
500% true. No scream, no prove for anyone.
Dear Teddy, thank you for your videos! What about Alpina? A 1883 Swiss brand i don't hear much about, i own a seastrong diver 300 and i love it i would to see a video about this brand.
Please do an collection analysis of brands like Frederique constant, Titoni etc
13k? No way!
It's not under-appreciated for that price..it's pricing itself out of contention.
It’s a little too grey/drab and doesn’t pop. Agree case finishing nice though
In person it's a far more impressive looking watch.
Teddy you should make a video about (reasonably priced) wall clocks; would really be interesting and spice up a lot of rooms. I personally like the IWC and Baume & Mercier ones.
I'm too poor for how addictive I find this channel, but a man can dream! Great content

Bring on a full Tissot lineup review! ✌🏾
Okay
Teddy, could you do a video about the new Citizen Tsuyosa? What do you think about the watch? Thank you.
Nice watch.
It has vibes of Nautilus and Oversea 49140 for case and bracelet respectively.
Loved this watch since the show Crash Landing On You where it plays a big role and is found in a market in North Korea!
Thanks for watching and showing love.
Congratulations 🎁🎉🎈you have been shortlisted for a prize !!! Send me a text above to acknowledge your prize
These are nicely done. I would love to hold one to see if the perceived quality is as good as it looks.
Thanks for this great vid, again. Chopard is a really respectable and underrated brand. I'm a little disappointed about the movement and it's finish in this price range. Poorly, this is was a Show Stopper for me.
The Chopard L.U.C "La Santa Muerte" is probably my favorite watch on existence... and I hate big gold watches, so that's something

hi, teddy. I love your channel, the style of your watches and your good technical knowledge. What can you tell me about Yema watches, made in France and with very attractive proposals. I'd like to know your opinion, if you have a few minutes. Thank you for your work
Great looking watch, a really underrated brand.
Great monochromatic design scheme, we’ll balanced but the contrasting elements make it pop.
Love the Burgundy toned dial model. So much to like about this piece. Definitely hits all the marks for me.
Thanks Teddy for showcasing a brand and model that you don’t see very often but carries some
weight.
Beautiful watch and a good brand. I am after a Miglia Mille

Hello Teddy,
Can you tell me the difference between Sea gull 1963 - 19 and Seagull 21 wich you Can Buy on Amazon ?
Teddy, how do you compare the alpine eagle vs the GP Laureato???
New subscriber.......thx!
I find Chopard watches aesthetic appeal quite appealing, glad to see your review.
Thanks for watching and showing love.
Congratulations 🎁🎉🎈you have been shortlisted for a prize !!! Send me a text above to acknowledge your prize
I really like the design of this watch and of course the beautiful dial, but I can help felling the movement is a little underwhelming at this price point. A tungsten or gold rotor with a little more decoration I think would make a huge difference.
You should check the Horobox special edition, fabulous red dial, and also it was a limited edition 😢
Chopard makes nice watches. They are better known for their jewelry. The Alpine Eagle is a great watch, especially if you see it up close at an AD. They also make the watch in two-tone and Chronograph versions. Chopard also develops their in-house movements.
If this had an IWC adjustment in the bracelet, I would really be excited about this gorgeous watch... however the IWC Mark xx (new one) is the one
P.s. People say they want the date on this Chopard at 6 or 3 o'clock but I disagree. I love that you have the balance of the roman numerals all around the dial... so either keep it at the 4, or remove the date
P.s.... yes I think it needs to be under 8-9k, but I do get why its so expensive... that dial is amazing by the way. And the case shape
Great watch, love the dial pattern, love the lug-to-lug. Can do without the Roman numerals. Specs of the movement are a bit outdated.
Can you do a review on the LUC sport 2000?
I don’t like the screws, the thickness of the bezel, but dam the dials on these make me want one anyway. Amazing dial.
I love the rosegold version ❤
Stunning watch, didn’t know it existed.
