I was worried when you were done with washing you wouldn't have any car left - most of the car's already rusted away... But seriously I love what you're trying to do, I would love to one day do the same. ❤🖤
Its amazing what that mini has probably been through. Teenagers first time driving it, then it sat for many years, the original owner probably died, and then here you come along to make it your dream car!
Just went to my first mini show yesterday , there was about 450-470 mini's at it in Portrush , Northern Ireland . 95% of all mini's there were restoration jobs like your Adam . How you have the patience to restore a mini from scratch is beyond me , but fair play to you and those helping you . Great video Adam , looking forward to part 2
From my experience I will never rust convert ever again. Next time I’ll wire wheel it back to bare metal and if it makes a hole I’ll weld a new piece in. Thinking about rust keeps me up at night!
In principle, I agree... in this case, wire wheeling to bare metal would whittle the body shell down to no body shell :) ... I've restored 3 minis... And have an engineering background: Never seen one this badly damaged by rust. I got to watch part 2 (if they uploaded it)... Did they really get this thing back on the road?
Thanks for the series. Check out 'Project Binky' at 'Bad Obsession Motorsport'. They’ve put a 2 litre Toyota Corolla engine into a Mini, and done a really neat job with it.
I think I'd want something a little better as a basis for racing, than that rust bucket. When I built my racing mini. I bought a MOT'd car on the road, no real welding needed.
Hi Francisco, we call it Kurust. It basically chemically changes rust into a hard stable material. I used it on the roof for example because although it was rusty its a none critical area with no holes. This will soon be sanded back and then primed in a video coming soon. Its one of the best inventions ever created for classic car restoration!
Im very late to reply to this, but its Hammerite Rust Converter, it converts rust to a stable metal. It's actually white to being with, turns blue when in contact with iron oxide. I'd recommend something like Bilt Hamber POR15 instead though.
Adam White Thanks. I always forget to look there. Are you going to change the front drum brakes to discs? If so, I would like to see a video of it being done. I want to do it to my '69 mini, but I'm not sure on how to go about it and I can't find anyone on TH-cam who has done it. Good luck with it.
Hey , I know that it is a question I shouldn't ask because I might seem rude....but can you please tell me how much you got this beautiful little car for ? Thanks 😅 I've been thinking about getting a classic Mini for a while now.
I wish one day you will restore 1969-..1978 Ford Transit Mk1 . if it's possible 1969 Costomline 1.7 V Essex Engine Passenger Van(8+1) with sunroof and passanger compartment glass side roof version. Thank You.

Well done for taking it on and saving it that's just how mine was it will be worth it in the end

I guess you are a wonderful craftsman It is a doctor of a car who breathed life into a decaying car. It's a wonderful talent
respect for moving the spider nicely 👍
Having had 3 Classic Mini’s back in their day, I am looking at this with bewilderment as for “Where to start?”
just came across this, seems you found the rustiest mini around, commend yourself for the commitment you have undertaken mate! cheers from Australia
WOW! What a heap! Will be binge watching this today for motivation.

Come in Greece you can find many minis in excellent condition without rust. This is like an old oil rusted container, good for the rubish.

That spider was holding the car together.
This car is remembering me the legend mr bean! ❤️

I cant believe people let these beautiful cars get so abused.
Unpopular opinion: the original mini is a horribly ugly car
Como se llama la cancion ?,??????????
Thanks for the series. Check out 'Project Binky' at 'Bad Obsession Motorsport'. They’ve put a 2 litre Toyota Corolla engine into a Mini, and done a really neat job with it.
Holy shit that car looks like it was made out of tissue paper 🏁
My first car was a 76 S series but that piece crap seems to be just fine returning to the earth
凄い!ミニは宝物ですね。
They are lovely little cars but people just don't care about them
Great video matey. What were you painting onto the panels?????
Podziwiam umiejętności, pozdrawiam z Polski

Hi Adam, im from Chile and im close to get a clásico mini and i would like to know what is that white liquid you put over the oxide areas

+Adam White ok thanks Adam and i'll wait for the next episode GRATE CHANNEL
KURUST is pants guys, scratch some off and you will see rust under it, it doesn't work. Use DEOX GEL from BILT HAMBER, it REMOVES rust.
What was that thing blue thing that you used ? Sorry I am not a expert on paiting
what is the blue you're adding to the body?
It looks like a hammerite rust killer
Im very late to reply to this, but its Hammerite Rust Converter, it converts rust to a stable metal. It's actually white to being with, turns blue when in contact with iron oxide. I'd recommend something like Bilt Hamber POR15 instead though.
That stuff is useless, it only treats a thin surface of the rust.if you dig under the treated area there's always rust..media blast or cut it out..
Hey guys. Looks like a big project you have there. What is the music you have posted please?
Hello, yes haha. The songs are stated in the description.
Catweasle haha no worries! Yes I do plan on doing the conversion. But I imagine it will be some time away!
Why no one mentioned about the disgusting spider?
Hello. How much a shell like this costs?
A new new one can cost between 4 and 6 thousand pounds and a completely rusted one maybe 400
Yep that sounds about right! A shell on their own without subframes etc are very cheap but difficult to transport.
楽しみですね=3
6:00 adds rust remover. Car falls apart... 😉
its rust convertor, which is crap.
Eselente trabajo

Where did u find the car
